Ear bud recommendations?
Does anyone have ear buds that they like for running? I have the regular iPod ones, as well as some that hook over the ear. However, I sweat--not a feminine glisten, but serious sweat. After the first mile or so, even the over the ear kind tend to slip off. Any recommendations?

Learning to ride a bike as an adult?
I am 40 years old, and I have never learned how to ride a bike. I've decided that this weekend is the time that I'm going to learn. My 6 year old daughter has actually offered to teach me.:) I went out today and bought a helmet, but I still haven't bought a bike. Obviously, I know nothing about bikes. Does anyone have…

New transmitter for Polar FT4 HRM?
I've been having problems with my HRM for several weeks. I hadn't been taking the best care of the strap and transmitter, so decided to order a new one. I the one that I ordered is exactly the same as the one my HRM originally came with, however I can't get the watch to recognize the new transmitter. It just keeps reading…

What to do after a 5k?
I've gotten to the point where I can finish a 5K pretty comfortably. I don't feel like I'm going to die at the end. However, I'm still pretty slow. My best time is around 34 minutes (on a treadmill, might be better in an actual race). I'm wondering where to go from here. Is it better to focus on running the 5k faster, or…

What did you do after P90X?
I finished about 2 weeks ago, and I haven't started anything else because I've been sick. But I'm wondering what others did. Did you do another round? If so, how long did you take off before starting it? Did you do a different program? If so, which one?

Losing weight after finishing P90X?
I finished P90X Lean last week, and I figured I'd take a couple weeks off before I started another round (maybe Classic this time). During my 3 months on P90X, I only lost 3 lbs. I know I lost inches and gained lots of muscle, but I was disappointed that I didn't lose much weight. Since I finished, for the past week my…

Family dinners (with kids)
I generally do all the cooking my house, for my husband and 2 small children (ages 2 and 5). I have trouble trying to think of things to make that my family will eat, but will also help me lose weight. For other moms (or dads) in this situation, do you eat something separate from the rest of the family? Or do join you in…

Push ups question
I'm finally able to do push ups on my toes, however I can only go down about half way. On my knees I can go all the way to the floor. So I was wondering which is better for strength building? Toes seems harder, but on my knees I'm getting a full range on motion. Any thoughts?

P90X yoga hurt my back
I'm on week 4 of P90X Lean, but I just did the yoga for the first time today. I felt fine while I was doing it, but when I went to stand up after I was finished, I got terrible shooting pain from the right side of my neck down to just below my right shoulder blade. Now, about an hour later, my shoulder blade hurts really…

Husband dislikes my new muscles
My husband and I have been together for 11 years. I was thin (size 6/8) when we met, but after having my 2 kids went up to an 18. I started losing weight about a year ago and am now in a size 12. Although I still have about 20 lbs. to go, I've been feeling pretty good about myself for working so hard to get back into…

P90X weight gain?
I'm nearing the end of week 3 of P90X Lean, and I've gained about 3-4 lbs. I know this is just fluid retention and muscle building, because clothes I had before I started are actually looser on me now. However, it bothers me to see the scale moving in the wrong direction. Does anyone know how long it takes for this to…

P90X Lean schedule help
I started P90X Lean 2 weeks ago, but I need some help figuring out a schedule for me. I work in my office Mon. and Tues. and work from home the rest of the week. There's gym right next to my office, so on Mon. and Tues. I work out there. Mon. is Zumba (very intense), and Tues. I run on the treadmill (trying to increase my…

Parents of young children & weight lifting?
I just started P90X Lean, and I have 2 young kids. One of whom is 21 months and still needs to carried up and down stairs, in and out of his car seat, bathtub, etc. I know you're supposed to strength train until the point of muscle fatigue for the best results, but how do others do this with babies and toddlers? I can't…
