Losing weight after finishing P90X?

I finished P90X Lean last week, and I figured I'd take a couple weeks off before I started another round (maybe Classic this time). During my 3 months on P90X, I only lost 3 lbs. I know I lost inches and gained lots of muscle, but I was disappointed that I didn't lose much weight. Since I finished, for the past week my only exercise has been walking my daughter to and from school (about 1.5 miles roundtrip). I just weighed myself this morning, and I've lost 5 lbs. this week! What's going on here? It's a decent walk, especially pushing my toddler in a stroller, but it doesn't seem anywhere near the level of activity I was doing before. Could I be losing muscle mass this quickly?

Could be a number of things, Yeah loss of muscle mass is possible but I'd think its a little too fast for that. More than likely its a form of the afterburn effect, even tho your not training your body is continuing to burn calories at an increased rate similar to that of when you were training, also sometimes less is more ;-D
It will eventually level out :-)0 -
I didn’t lose while I was on P90X, I just gained muscle & strength. Don’t get me wrong I loved that, but I wanted to lose weight. I didn’t follow their eating plan, but I ate healthy. I have lost 6 pounds just running every other day & eating smart.0
