I wan't really big to begin with, but not happy with myself! If it weren't for me finding this website, I would still weight around 160 which is big for me. Other than the last 3 years, I have never been over 140 for the 15 years! MFP needs more advertising and I do it all the time by posting to Facebook and all my friends!

Minus your fiber from your carbs!

Should my Net Calories be my goal for the day
I am a little confused about something. If my goals a day are 1200 calories, and I burn 300, my food goals show up as 1500, but my net calories are lower. Should my NET total be my daily goal?

I understand that sometimes the weight can fluctuate a few pounds during this time, but I have been over eating the last 3 days waiting for the visit! I have been eating healthy, but 200 to 300 calories over. I weighed tonight and was up 4 lbs! How to control the hunger is horrid. If I don't eat, I'm miserable!

Scallop lovers
Small bay scallops are low in calorie and great sauteed in some butter olive oil and fresh garlic. You can eat 33 of them at only 100 calories. Sauteed scallops with a cup of rice pilaf is only 210 calories and a great dish.

What's wrong? HELP!
I was hungry today and yesterday. I had 1/2 cup of honeydew melon, 1/2 cup cantaloupe, 1 pear, and 4 cherries, 1 cup of soup for lunch, pretzels and animal crackers. Zig Zagging
I had an off day today. I was weak, craving chocolate and ate 6 mini Hershey! OMG, that was 400 calories and with my dinner, it will bring me over 260. I have read a lot about how much better it is to zigzag your calories so I am hoping today doesn't hurt me!

How much weight did you lose your first week on MFP?
I would like to get some feed back from some of you with how much weight you lost your first week joining, how many calories you are allowed and if you exercise or not. I read that some gain weight and I am not sure I could handle that as I have been trying so hard.

Chinese Food
I am a bit nervous about getting on the scale tomorrow. It will be a week tomorrow and I am going to weigh in, but had Chinese food tonight (in moderation) should I wait until Sunday to weigh due to the salt intake? I measured and was still under my calorie goal by 24 calories.

I am a newbie and never had a problem losing 5 lbs in a week before I turned 40. Now that I am 44, I have put on 5 lbs each year for the last 3 years. It's so discouraging. I have been watching what I eat and going to the gym since December 27 and after 9 days, gained two lbs. Ugh, i am hoping this program helps me!
