My One Year and Four Month Journey
Today is day where I feel I need to reflect on how far I've come in my weight loss journey. So, I thought I would just share a little piece of that with you all! I reached my heaviest in August 2012 weighing around 190-200. Today, I weigh in at 136. It's been rough and something that I still have to work at every day, but…

One Long Year
Tomorrow will be exactly one year since I've started my weight loss journey. It has been a very crazy, emotional one but I am very proud of myself. I've stuck with it, through the good days and the bad! I'm not where I want to be, but I'm a long way from where I was. Here is a pic of my progress.

Not seeing what I want...help!
So, in the last 2 weeks I've started weight training. No crazy lifting, just mainly core work and some arms and legs. Since I've started this I just feel so bulky. I feel like I've gained weight, but when I get on the scale not much has changed. My weight usually fluctuates between a pound a two. I'm working really hard to…

Still Sore...help!
Some of you may have seen the posts I made earlier in the week about strength training. I started my new routine on Thursday and I felt pretty good about it. I woke up Friday and didn't feel feel too much pain, I was a little sore but I still went to the gym to do some light cardio. However, I woke up today and I feel like…

Strength Training for Beginners
I'm looking to start switching up my workout routine. For the past year, my focus has been on weight loss and I've stuck mainly to cardio. I've lost about 50+ pounds and I'm happy with that. Now, I'm looking to gain lean muscle. I started strength training yesterday, and am a bit sore, but it's tolerable. I'm usually in…

Strength training and Calories
Hi, I'm planning to start a strength training routine. I recently read an article that HRM don't accurately measure calories burned during strength training. So, is it true that my polar watch won't measure correctly?

Opinions on Clif Bars
I've come across many mixed reviews on these. I realize they're a little high in calories, but couldn't they be used as a meal replacement? I haven't had any yet, but I did buy some. Opinions would be appreciated!

Incorporating JM workouts into my routine
I recently started Jillian Michael's Killer Buns and Thighs workout. I just need some advice as to how I can include the DVD with my workout. My usual gym routine consists of running, stairmaster and some ab work. I don't really have the time to do both the DVD and go to the gym everyday. How can I switch up and get the…

Hi, I'm looking to find suggestions for meal replacement shakes. I've never used them, so I don't really know where to start. Thanks!

Change in diet cause mood swings?
In the last 2 weeks or so I've been dramatically changing my diet. I've been making better choices in the last year, but recently I've made even more changes. I've been monitoring my calories, sugar and sodium a lot more. However, with this change I've noticed some crazy mood swings. I get irritated easily and every little…

Feeling Stuck
I'm looking for a way to tone up, any suggestions? I lost about 50Ibs in a time span of 6-8 months. When I started my weight loss, I was around 204 and I'm now around 155. The problem is, my lower stomach. Because I had been losing quickly, it's just kinda hanging around. Any ideas as to how I can quickly get rid of it?…

Semi-Success Story
I've been on the site for a few months, but I'd like to start actively using it more. I just wanted to share a little of my story and how fitness became a part of my life. About a year ago, my life kinda took a turn for the worse. I was in school for elementary education. I had one more year to go, and couldn't have been…

Just wanted to say hi
I joined the site a few months ago, but got lazy and lost interest. I'm really trying to get back into it to find some motivation!
