Fit & healthy, here I come!
I'm 35 (my profile's lying about my age), and just found MFP. I realized a week or so ago I needed to make a serious commitment towards daily exercise & dieting. I come from a family of obese women (mom 200+ pounds & her 3 sisters at 300-400 lbs, my maternal grandfather was 500+ pounds when he died). I want to get down to…

My new favorite "busy weeknight with no time to cook"
I work 8-5, and then exercise, so by the time I'm ready to make dinner it's pushing 6:30pm and I'm exhausted & starving. This is my new favorite - I need something *now*, but I need something that won't kill my diet. The miracle is Seeds of Change Organic Quinoa and Brown Rice with Garlic. Hunger, Thirst, and Heartburn...
I have moderate-severe GERD (I take protonix twice a day). I frequently have trouble determining if I'm truly hungry, thirsty, or if I've got some heartburn acting up. Any tips/advice?

Southern Willamette Valley?
I'm in Eugene, and was wondering who else in this group was nearby. I'd love to find a gal to go bike riding with this summer. My husband rides at VERY different pace from me, so the two of us riding together usually results in frustration for me (he likes to go much faster than I'm capable of sustaining).

I have a weight bench & an elliptical... now what?
I just got my elliptical set up yesterday. All I could manage was 5 minutes, but my goal is to increase my time by 5-10 minutes a week until I'm up to 45+ minutes. I also have free weights & a weight bench. Should I alternate cardio & strength training? Cardio daily, with strength just a few days a week?

Restaurants without Nutritional Info available
I'm going out to lunch at a bagel place. The only nutritional info they provide is that their bagels are around 290 calories, and high in protein and fiber. Do I just guess at the calories of the toppings/sandwich fixings they put on the bagel?

Supported Girl Scouts - now have too many cookies!
How can I get rid of the Girl Scout cookies I bought? I thought I could just keep them in the freezer and bring them out a box at a time, but that's not going to work (not with my willpower). I don't want to just throw them away. Any brilliant ideas out there?

Losing weight while hypoglycemic
I have to have a good bit of protein with each meal. If not I get tired, clumsy, grumpy, and will eat everything in sight. Does anyone else have this issue? If so, how do you deal with it?
