I've stopped weighing myself, anyone else?
As I notice peri-menopausal symptoms, I've decide for my own sanity, to stop weighing myself. I've maintained my weight for over ten years and and with a recent 3-5pound weight gain (pounds that just won't budge), I've determined that my weight goal may have to shift too. What seems to make more sense to me though is to…

not another "What's the best fitness tracker?" thread
I've been on maintenance for quite a few months after losing my last 10 lbs. With the help of MFP, yoga, Jazzercise 5-6 x/week, I really see little threat of gaining it all back. I'm still tracking on MFP and exercising regularly. Still I think I would like to get a fitness tracker. I've not used one to get to where I am…

I just have to say it (Calories burned during Jazzercise)
Yes, I just have to say it: there is absolutely no way I burn only 280 calories during a whole hour of Jazzercise! I burn about that much during the first 3 songs. I know I need to get an hrm to get a more accurate count. Because I'm on maintenance, I'm not really willing to spend the money on an hrm. I'm maintaining…

Need Advice about Weight Watchers
I've been a WW lifetime member for about 8 years and have been pretty successful. I've maintained my goal weight the whole time. But mostly, WW was the program that introduced me to healthy eating and an overall healthy lifestyle. I so appreciate and am thankful for this. Though I joined MFP because I found myself at a bit…

Weight Watchers Maintenance Frustrations
I've been a pretty happy lifetime member of Weight Watchers for about 7 years and with them have learned so much about my own eating habits and improving them. I've managed to remain at my Weight Watchers goal weight for most of that time. Though in the past year it seemed as though a successful monthly weight in required…

Day of rest.
I generally have one day a week when I don't exercise. Sometimes I'll practice yoga, but mostly I don't track calories burned on that day. However, on those days I generally go over my 1200 (like I do on most days). Should I take in less calories on those days I do not exercise...those rest days? Are those "rest days"…

Fasting on Good Friday and Exercise
Today and on Ash Wednesday I fast, but not at the cost of my exercise. Fasting is simply eating 2 small meals and one large with no snacking in between. But I like to make sure I have enough energy to do my workout. Because I will not "fast" from exercise, I try to be a bit creative with the food. For example, this morning…

Are fruits killing my diet?
My numbers seem to say so. I don't usually eat sweets (cookies, cakes, etc), but I love my fruit. I eat a banana at least once a day, an apple every other day and blueberries and strawberries everyday. I really hate the idea of removing my fruits in order to manage my sugar intake, but I'm not sure what else to cut?…

New here and so happy with MFP
After 10 days I still really like My Fitness Pal. So love that I've not had to add many foods at all. Even the 2 times I've gone out to eat, the meals are here. But most impressive was finding a homemade ethnic dish (Puerto Rican Rice and Beans) already in the database! Thank you all for making this so easy. xoxo
