Awkward problem
So, I checked in with my personal trainer a couple days ago and asked her to measure both of my calves when we were updating my measurements, because I noticed one of my capri pant legs was looser than the other. I've lost an inch in every other measurement, and she told me my left calf is 3/4 of an inch larger than the…

One month result!
I started MFP after I had already been working for a while. I weighed myself back in June and was about 208, but I was down to about 200-202 in the left pic. What do you think?

How much do YOU think I've lost? (PIC)
I know I've lost 30 pounds since January 2012, but looking at this photo from May 2010, I'm pretty sure I've lost more than 30. Feel free to tell me what you think it looks like my actual total probably is. I hardly ever weighed myself before late last year, so I'm really not sure. At any rate, the picture on the right was…

Looking for some cheerleaders
I love all the people on my friends list, but a few of them have gone MIA and I could use some extra support right now. I've been having a hard time with life lately and am trying to get back into a routine, but it's hard because my life is in such limbo and I'm super stressed out. So I could use some positive…

Before and After - 25 pounds
So the first image is from my sister's wedding last May, almost exactly a year ago. I didn't start trying to lose weight until November last year, but I'm officially at 25 pounds and decided to compare how this dress fit me from then until now. It's a size 12, and I had to get special ribbing in the sides in order for it…

NSV - Significant other
I've gone from a size 12/14 jeans to size 8/10 and size XL tops to a size Medium I was wearing today, and I thought I looked pretty good. When I met my boyfriend for dinner tonight on my break from work, I walked up and the look on his face and the smile he got made me feel awesome. I smiled back and asked why he was…

Need some advice on calorie intake
About a week ago I hit 17 pounds lost, and MFP asked me if I wanted to adjust my calories down about 60 per day, and since I did that I have been hungry a lot more. I don't know why that would make such a difference, but I'm just wondering if maybe my metabolism needs more than that now. I keep my foods high in protein,…

Adjusting to a new number
I just went to input my weight on a website for something, and nearly put in 177...which is 7 pounds more than what I currently weigh. Being able to put 170 made me feel SO GOOD. I haven't been at this weight for about six years, and it's hard for me to get used to putting in that new weight! Gotta say I love it though. :)

Shopping experience...try this!
So I'm house sitting for a friend while he's in Vegas, and he's a serious bachelor with absolutely nothing in his cupboards, fridge or freezer (seriously, there was like a pound of potato salad and milk in the fridge). He also has no microwave. Yeah I dunno, he must have gotten left behind in the 20th Century. But anyway,…

Carrying them with me
Some might know that a couple months ago I lost my sister. About 10 years ago I lost my dad. It's been really hard trying to come to grips with the fact that close to half my family is gone, but I've been using getting in shape as a distraction and as a nod to the sister I lost, because she ran marathons and was more in…

How many can't remember being thin?
One of my biggest challenges right now is that I don't have a "picture" in my head of what I could look like if I were at a normal, healthy weight... I started gaining weight when I was about 11 or 12, so I actually cannot remember a time when I wasn't overweight. A lot of people say they want to go back to the time when…

NSV - Skin change
Who else notices their skin gets a lot healthier when they start eating healthier? I've been incorporating a lot more fruits and veggies where I can, and the other night my boyfriend complimented me on how good my skin looks. :D Just a nice, big perk of getting healthier. Less makeup required too. Created by…

Lower belly fat - When you saw results
One of the things I have always hated most about my body is lower abdominal fat that never seems to go away. I know it's gotten smaller over the last couple months of working out, but for people who were in the same boat and have lost enough weight for it to be tightened and gone or mostly gone, how long did it take for…

Death in the family...moving forward?
So history has sort of repeated itself on me. I lost my dad to a heart attack when I was 12, and on Friday I lost my sister. We were really close. When I lost my dad, I set on a path of depression and emotional eating that eventually brought me to the weight I'm at currently. Just before losing my sister, my emotional…

Is sodium a big concern?
Just wondering if anyone knows if I should be concerned about going over my sodium allowances for the day. It's come to my attention that I have a propensity toward high sodium foods, but I have been working out plenty and trying to stay hydrated. Should I still be trying to cut back? Any response is greatly appreciated. :)

Lower back pain?
Hi everyone, I just started swimming on a regular basis last month as part of my exercise regimen to get in shape, but I'm developing lower back pain and I'm wondering if it's because of my form. I do mostly freestyle swimming, but I'm still a beginner to this type of swimming, so does anyone know what might cause that?…

Small victories
Post what your victory for today was, no matter how small or ridiculous you might feel like it is. Mine: Taking jeans out of the dryer and not feeling like I was going to hyperventilate from them being so tight!

Calling all friends!
I'm not exactly "new" to MFP, but I've never really gotten into the social networking aspect of it. Now that I am, I'm loving it and I could use some friends to help keep me on track! Particularly any swimmers out there, I'm using that as my main form of exercise and would love any tips or workouts people have to share. :)…
