Goals
It's goal setting time. I have previously lost (then gained but whatever) 120#. I used to set a goal at each BMI point as a mini then every 15, 25, etc. But this time I want to switch it up. I want mini and milestone goals for weight but I'm also looking for ideas on rewardaable goals that aren't tied to the scale. Oh,…

Reintro
I am done! I did it! 30 days on program, and now I am reintroducing foods to screen for sensitivities, but my husband has agreed to have a *mostly* primal house! We will occasionally have alcohol or other treats, when socially or specially appropriate. Yay! This means a lot more cooking for me, because now I have to pack…

Day 1
Hello! I started whole30 today. I am a little anxious about managing the 30 days, but I am committed. I am doing this to weed out some food sensitivities. I would love your feedback on staples that work. What you do if you eat out, what you keep stocked at home, what you feed your family. :-) it has been a while since i…

How to be supprtive?
My lovely fiance has made acommitment to weight loss. He joined a family weight loss competition, and the pourse will be over $80. I really think he can win. I asked him what he wants me to do, and he said he wants me to be encouraging. Which is simple. Except I really don't know how. I was raised by critical people, and I…

Injury
Well, I finally got in to see sports medicine. DOc says no running for 3-4 4 weeks, and then follow a strict return to runing program. She is encouraging cross training, she likes stationary cycling, but not spinning. She is okay with the eliptical but prefers the bike. I currently also weight train and go to yoga. I feel…

Feed Zone
Last month at my running club meeting a member did a presentation about Feed Zone and Feed Zone Portables. Is anyone familiar with these? I do currently get diarrhea after runs over 10 miles, but am tackling a full marathon in October. I Have primarily used cliff shot blocks for fuel, in runs over 10 miles. I only eat 2…

Full Marathon training plan
Hey all, I am running my first full this fall! 10/19/14, and today I reviewed Hal Higdon's Novice 1 and 2 plans. I was inputting Novice 2 into my google calendar, and adjusted around some already planned events (a 10k, 5miler, and oh, my wedding day) just fine without any real adjustment to weekly mileage. Until I got to…

I am making some cabbage and potatoes tonight, and I am thinking of using the ground lamb I have in the freezer. I have never made ground lamb before. I will probably just brown it and toss it in with the veg, but I need some advice on seasoning. Thanks!

I am looking for suggestions on how to get more protien without breaking the colorie bank.
