Clothing NSV
I went shopping for dresses for the Christmas party season at the weekend and grabbed a bunch in size 12 (that's a US 8) to try on. I had to exchange every single one for a size 10 (US 6). I've been slacking a bit recently and not feeling too great about my body, so this was a boost I really needed! Some days I think my…

BMI from obese to healthy!
I just needed to share this because it's a great feeling: I am at a healthy BMI for the first time in years! When I started on MFP I weighed around 178lbs and my BMI was 31.5 - in the obese range! Today (126 days later) I weighed in at 139, giving me a BMI of 24.6 which counts as "normal"! Such a great feeling :drinker:

Jillian Michaels' other DVDs
Hi all, I just finished the 30 Day Shred and I am trying to decide which of Jillian Michaels' other DVDs to try next. I have 6 Week 6 Pack, Banish Fat - Boost Metabolism, and No More Trouble Zones. Has anyone tried these? I'm curious how they compare to the shred, and to each other, in terms of difficulty etc. I'd like to…

NSV - new jeans
This actually happened last weekend but I didn't post about it, and as I'm feeling a little demotivated today I thought I'd remind myself how well I'm doing so far :) Anyway, I get a lot of my jeans from this store called River Island (I don't know if you have it in the US) - just because they seem to fit my general shape…

Well, I guess that's a compliment!
I just caught my husband looking at me a bit funny. When I asked what was up he started laughing hysterically and said "You're becoming borderline slim!" Good to know he thinks that (although it's nowhere near true yet) - but I'm not sure why he finds it so funny! :indifferent:

Huge personal victory (alcohol related)
One of the main reasons I'm overweight is alcohol. I'm not an alcoholic or anything, but I do drink a lot. My family drinks a lot, my husband drinks a lot, my friends drink a lot, pretty much my entire social life involves pubs, clubs, parties etc where getting drunk is par for the course. Prior to starting MFP it was not…

Good day - SV and NSV :)
Today I weighed in at 69.7kg - 153.3lbs. I've yo-yo'd between 70 and 80 for the last few years, and it's been so long since I saw a number starting with a 6! I also had a nice comment from a co-worker. She said to me "Wow - you look so different! You're obviously sticking with it. You must be having to buy new clothes…

Is this right? (calorie defecit)
Hello all, Sorry for my n00bness - I just want to make sure I'm doing this right and not eating too much/too little! Anyway, I am 5'2", lead a sedentary lifestyle, and would, ideally, like to lose 2lb a week. I entered this information into the MFP iPhone app and it generated a net calorie goal of 1200 per day. However,…
