NSV - new jeans

This actually happened last weekend but I didn't post about it, and as I'm feeling a little demotivated today I thought I'd remind myself how well I'm doing so far
Anyway, I get a lot of my jeans from this store called River Island (I don't know if you have it in the US) - just because they seem to fit my general shape pretty well. When I started on MFP I was fitting into my size 16s in the loose, baggy styles, but in the more regular shaped jeans I had to wear the 18s (I could SQUEEZE into a 16 but not without bulging out all over the place!)
After a few weeks I was delighted to find that I could wear my size 16s again. Gradually they became looser and looser until I was on my tightest belt buckle
I was in town last Sunday and decided, just out of curiosity, to pop into the shop and try on a smaller size. To cut a long story short - the 14s fitted perfectly! Ok, so they are a *little* snug, but definitely wearable! Although I've been able to wear the odd size 14 in tops and dresses for a while, it's been at least 3 or 4 years since I fitted into size 14 jeans
I'm never sure how UK sizes relate to US sizes, but I think a 14 is equivalent to a 12 or a 10.
