Race Funding
I am just restarting my journey in running. I have big plans, but not a big budget. How do you go about getting sponsors for races? Or would it sound too desperate to ask for help in funding my races? I have three that I would love to do end of this summer and early fall. Opinions?

Strength Training for Runners
I am training for my first half (October 13) and was told I should do some strength training. Does anyone know of a good program for runners. I would rather it be inexpensive as my budget is pretty tight. Also needs to be easy on my back, I am "healed" but still have my bad days post-spinal compression fracture.

Packing boxes in your calorie burn. It isn't something i normally do. I spent an hour today going through and repacking (and tossing!) about 12 boxes of stuff. I repacked about half, and tossed or recycled the other half. Took me nearly an hour! I have found ranges from 166 to 286 calories burned. Would you add it?

5k number two DONE!
I did my second 5k this weekend. My first was back in October, then I ran a 10k in March. I didn't beat my personal record, but I am okay with that. This was my most WET race. It poured (I was soaked through 4 layers!) but I only finished 2 minutes slower than my PR. =) My ending time was 39:40. Here is a pic of hubby and…

leg soreness
I have this pain on the backside of my knees and instead of getting better, its worse then it started. UGH! Any ideas on what it could be and what I can do to make it feel better?

I am doing a program right now that gives me one "rest" day each week. Do you take a rest day? I was thinking about just walking... not sure though.

Sodium vs Potassium
Okay, I gathered from the reading of posts that potassium can help with sodium intake, but HOW? Does the potassium cancel the sodium out? Should I consider a potassium supplement?

Net calories?
I am just trying to get some clarification here. I have a calorie goal of 1550 (in my opinion that is the "max" so I am for between 1200 and 1550) anyway.
