Just found tahini from Trader Joe's, need more ideas!
So I just found TJ's tahini for some falafel I was making, and I fell in love. I know tahini is good for dipping veggies, but its also pretty calorie dense. What recipes do you have that include tahini in small amounts that stick pack a bunch of flavor?

Need help with binging...
Need help with binging... Netflix binging! I seem to do better at going to the gym if I have a TV show to look forward to watching while on the treadmill. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt got me through about a week at the gym. Archer just isn't amusing to me. What do you recommend to binge on Netflix to get through my workouts?…

Egg muffin ideas wanted!
I am going to make egg muffins this weekend for a quick and easy breakfast for myself and my husband next week. The three ideas I have so far are 1) egg, spinach, cheese, topped with a tomato slice, 2) egg and chorizo, 3) egg, turkey sausage crumbles, and cheese. What other egg muffins have you come up with? Although I…

Day 10 - Starting to feel hangry.
So this is day 10 of dieting (with a 2 day blip on days 6 and 7). I am starting to feel hangry in the afternoons. Take a look at my diary and tell me what I am missing? For reference, I am 5'0", 246 pounds, and my goal is 1500 cal a day.

Just got a up move and have a question
So I think I've synced both apps, but MPF is showing 0 steps, while Up is showing the actual number. Does it just take some time to sync?

Food intolerance post-gall bladder removal
I had my gall bladder removed in April 2012. I didn't notice any food intolerances, but to be fair, I was eating crap and so everything upset my stomach. In the last month or so I have been trying to eat less processed foods and more whole foods, and I noticed that my stomach started being a little nicer to me. Until…

Tell me if this sounds good or what you would add/change
I bought a LOT of chuck tender steak that was on sale and I am trying to find creative ways to use it. Tell me what you think of this - I just combined a couple things I saw on Pinterest. This would make 3 servings at 425 calories a serving. 1 lb of beef in a crock pot cooking in enchilada sauce; shred beef mix can of…

Packaged raw chicken breast
So why would my packaged, raw chicken breast (no skin) say 110 cal for 4 oz but USDA website is closer to 136 cal for 4 oz. Is it because of the water/sodium/whatever filler the packager adds?

Coping skills
I quit smoking about 2.5 years ago, right around the time my husband and I started dating. I became pregnant a little over 2 years ago, and I am now 40 pounds heavier than I was when my I met my husband. Anyway, I know I used to use smoking as a coping mechanism. I am honestly not sure if I turned to food at that point,…

HRM and Calories Burned
I am thinking about getting a HRM but I have some questions. Can the the HRM determine that my elevated heartrate is due to exercise and not anger, fear, anxiety, arousal, etc.? Does an elevated heartrate due to anger, fear, anxiety, arousal, etc. burn more calories than just doing nothing?

I bought a bag of frozen, cooked shrimp
And now I don't know what to do! It was an impulse purchase, I thought for sure I'd find a recipe, but nope. Any ideas? I don't like ginger. And trying to keep it low cal.

is my goal odd?
I am 5"0' and currently 243 lb (down from 250). My goal is to be 135 lb which (surprisingly to me) is still considered overweight for my height. When I was 150 lb I was close to a size 10 or 12 I think. I'm thinking I will be an 8 when I get down to 135 lb. I've never been much smaller than that I and I don't think I…

headaches
I cut calories about a week ago, headaches started in the last few days. I've started getting headaches a lot more frequently, and OTC medicine isn't helping. My diary is open. Am I not eating enough? Not getting enough of the "right" foods? Or will this go away once my body adjusts? I tried googling but couldn't find a…

Do I really need to eat breakfast early in the day?
I can eat less if I postpone breakfast. I get up around 5:30am every day and get to work around 7:30am. Usually, I would eat breakfast between 7am and 8am, but then I would be starving by 10am and end up snacking and snacking and snacking. Now it is 9:30am, all I have had today is coffee and water, and I am not "starving."…

What's harder? Quitting smoking or quitting overeating?
I quit smoking over 2 years ago, and while I still have cravings (and have maybe had 2-3 cigarettes socially in the last two years), it was fairly simple. I did use Zyban but only for one week. Once I was quit, I was quit. I've tried to stop overeating on and off for... 6 years? And I can't stop. Not only do I think I am…

30 YO Mom of 2, Oklahoma
I have been on MFP several times, with some success in the past. I lost about 30 pounds in 2012, then got pregnant, and it all creeped back on and then some. My husband and I are committed to losing weight now for 3 reasons - to be more active with our kids, for vanity reasons, and to be able to RIDE ALL THE RIDES when we…
