Losing 15-20 pounds in 3 months? Realistic goal or no?
I'm 5'10 and currently 153 pounds, so I'm not "overweight", but I'm uncomfortable with myself. I'm studying abroad for the next 3 months and I really want to come back home 15-20 pounds thinner. Is this too much weight loss for a short period of time? If not, any tips on how I could achieve this? I imagine I would have to…

Are MFPs calorie burn estimations fairly accurate?
So yesterday I was way more active than I usually am. I did running/walking intervals on the treadmill for 20 minutes, elliptical for 15 minutes (worked up quite a sweat) and then ended up walking over 13,000 steps (7 miles) throughout the day, not to mention dancing for a couple hours when my friends and I went to a…

Calories burned hiking?
So I hiked 7.5 miles today in 3 and a half hours. I'm 5'10 and weigh about 145 pounds. About half of the hike was uphill and half downhill. The calculators I've used say I burned anywhere from 400-600 calories, but, although I'm pretty sore and tired, I just don't feel like that's right. I decided to log it as walking for…

Should I log my steps as exercise?
Most days I don't account for the steps I take and just log my work outs, but today I walked way more than I usually do and ended the day at over 12,000 steps. Obviously I burned more today than I would being more sedentary, so should I log this? I don't want to adjust my activity level because I'm not this active every…

Not seeing results?
I've been trying to lose weight for about 3 weeks now. I'm 5'10, around 155 pounds and want to lose around 15. I went from eating around 2200-2500 a day to around 1600. I'm eating healthier, drinking more water, and exercising now as well. I look the same. My measurements are the same. I don't have a scale but it doesn't…

Possible to notice weight loss in just a couple weeks?
So I started working out consistently about 3 weeks ago, and then last week I got a job that requires me to be on my feet moving around constantly. I went from sedentary to being pretty active and also have been eating less. This week I've been noticing my pants are a lot looser (after just being washed, too); is it…

Calories you burn working at a restaurant.
So I work at a restaurant, similar to Chipotle. Mostly I work at the cash register but I also do a lot of cleaning, sweeping, taking out trash, putting together meals for customers, etc. My shifts are usually 5-6 hours and I'm constantly on my feet. Would this make me active?

Really impatient and discouraged
I just wish this weight would fall off of me right now. I'm not even overweight I guess (bmi of 22.5) but I weigh a lot more than I usually do and it's from eating too much. So this is obviously not the weight I should be at. I only really want to lose about 10-15 pounds but just last year I was dealing with anorexia so…

Am I sedentary, lightly, or moderately active?
Yesterday and today were pretty average days for me in terms of activity level. Yesterday, I slept in pretty late and got a full 12 hours of sleep because I got home late the night before. When I woke up, I made some breakfast, went outside and played with my dog for about 15 minutes, went upstairs, showered, cleaned up my…
