The Need to Praise Workers
As one who has many awards from My time in Military, which mean Nada to Me...I just don't get this heaping praise on workers. Even the Navy sent message saying it was something needing to be done. Nuts. As a current Great NFL Coach says: Just do Your Job If Ya need praise then go see...nevermind :) , I'll be nice.

Instructors music selection for spin class
Obviously up tempo is needed (imo). Might be my age, 52, but 95% is music I've never heard of, current stuff it seems. The techno is ok...rap, well...., country, not a rednecker  The instructor makes it easy to want to really push yourself, but I find the music "really" hinders me sometimes. I stick it out only…

Extreme sugar intake & weight loss
Post not really for help etc., but mostly about why no health issues and still able to lose lbs. Reckon' some of us are just lucky??? :) My recent full blood workup showed all levels etc. normal..whew. I'm only posting since many sites i've read make it sound like this kind of weight loss should not be..hmm  My…

Confusion on food diary & calories burned
This is what confuses me...."You've earned 2,422 extra calories from exercise today"....All or most diary entries will have xxxx extra calories. Is this of any importance? I just eat till I'm full, and do my 2hrs bike, and or treadmill, and even at 1500 cal/day, I still feel great. Just saying 160lbs is goal, currently at…

Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream Chips 8.5oz
Purchased before starting gym 9 days ago, so I'll call it a treat, being My all time faves. I'll just spend an extra 90 min recumbent to cancel. Looking at numbers though, I thought it would be worse....1300 cal, 85 fat, 130 carbs, and 17 protein. Maybe their the right kind of carbs to fuel me. :)

My crazy dieting
5/23 thru 5/31 my totals are: 8987 cal, 425 fat cal, 831 carbs, and 477 protein. Only thing I concentrate on, that and ensuring foods have no more than 20% fat. Makes Me wonder how I'm standing and/or feeling good doing 2hrs cardio and 1hr weights daily x 7 days. Calories burned---10,623....Excercise minutes---1050. Like…

3 yr hiatus ends
3 yrs prior, lost 40-45...began at 200 lbs...met goal 160. Gym closed, so I regained weight lost, just re-started week ago, same goal as before. Instead of going 5 days/wk, now it's 7, 2 1/2 hrs day. 2 hrs which is bike. New gym opened much closer to home.

Frustrated by No weight loss..I think
Been reading and calculating, but still get confused (?), frustrated is probably more accurate. Especially the flab at waist. That is where I center alot of my excercise routine. My current weight is 166 +/-, 160 I'd like My averages for past 7 days.....2110 tot cal, 26% fat, 42% carbs, 32% protein. Average excercise…

Just venting about hitting goal
Dropped my 20 or so lbs to where I want to be, but when I look in mirror I still look fat. So depressing, on top of my depression. Along with my doing spinning, I do 7 different core exercises trying to lose that ugly excess flab on the backside. Can feel the muscle development, ah well. Reckon' I'll just keep plugging…

About daily summary?
When figuring deficit, would you take RMR+calories burned-calorie intake x 7 then divide? Read about it, but slow of mind, I think I got this right, right? Also, regarding sugar intake. Recommended is 36g/day. Love my coffee, so avg. 135g sugar/day. I know, bad. Question I guess is, due to mega excess cal. why am I able to…

confusion over excessive sweating
Hope this isn't to confusing but I've read many answers on this from a host of sites, with a host of different answers. the basic answer I get is, ok you sweat, great. I sweat so much after 2hrs on treadmill. Like many posts, you'd thought i took a shower. I do this 5 days/wk. I decided to measure it before and after…

3 questions..low calorie, weight loss, strength gain?
Uhm, how to start. Started exercising 6/24. Since then I've lost 14lbs. on avg. Calorie intake, well, it's "bad". I've also had increases in amt. of weights I lift. I understand all about proper calories, and if not proper calories then low metabolism. Where i'm getting extremely confused is how did I accomplish the above,…

Am I allowed to be here based on guidelines?
"No Promotion of Unsafe Weight-Loss Techniques or Eating Disorders " I'm not here to promote, but I am quite under the minimum recommended calorie intake for men (appx 1000-1200 cal/day). Have been this way for at least 5 yrs. An aquaintance at the gym recommended this site, so here I be. Obviously if I'm not allowed, I'll…
