I too workout 5 days week, sometime 7, or as my chart shows, many skipped days. I always strive and do 2hrs cardio on bike mostly (high intensity), burns most calories 600-650 cals for 1hr give or take, and moderate (?) weight, oops resistance machines. As most cyclists do, I put biggest workouts on legs, core. Since May…

For me, I would say No. Maybe I should read about it, but I do see one must pay to join. I only say no because why pay for something one can do for free. As some have said, MFP is free, and Lots of support is available here for those needing such.

Just some humor on topic first. What's a shower, did not know they exist :) . I thought that is why the have Glade air freshener, just spray on and go (joking). Take one in morning, and then after workout. Using showers provided at gym, no, I have no problems using.

Hello again. Read a bit on detection of diabetes, which I hope I never get. Based on topic started, You could say my excessive sugar intake with my coffee began at 18 when I entered military. It's now been 39 years since. Read CBC blood tests can reveal onset. Last CBC done 1/14/2019 all levels test revealed showed I was…

#2 the biggest reason...#1 I'm a neat freak :) ....#8 not saying all, but I just don't need drama, and the word "Love" is one I don't like to use. I figure Mom and siblings know this, so why say it

Who as I like to joke about, those that need to constanly be on cellphone, esp. in my car, or at gym on treadmill..it's like, really. :) So I have a No Cellphone Use as my passenger. Guess I"m just to old. I'm just curious, is it all about feeling important having to be on cellphone constantly? (mostly humor)

No wonder I have no friends :) , I iron toooo much...socks, underwear, sheets, pillowcases (4), but can only use 1 pillow being I'll wrinkle the other 3 :) Or basically everything that comes out of dryer.

The one area I do show respect for, non-smokers. I always keep my distance if around them.

All great replies. Seems I left out the "thank you's". Quarterly or Annual performance bonuses are good. Which I and others did receive if no blemishes for year while I drove tractor-trailer. Though Me being such an "oddball" kind of guy :) , I just told them to pass on bonus to a charity. I got some eyes on that one. :)…

I get we are all different, but even my getting "Sailor of the Year" did not mean nothing to Me. Sailor of the quarters numerous times, same thing. I always give 110% and do my work as if my own company. Hmm, makes me wonder, do the owners and such praise themselves? Doubt it, but good for them if they do. I also firmly…

Totally agree, but after smoking for 41 yrs now, trying to quit and failed, i still feel good (but obviously not the point), at least it's my only vice.

"Blud Danube Waltz", My fave classical song, though I couldn't use it on music player at gym. I picture myself falling asleep, lol. Not good, especially if on treadmill, lol, ouch. :)

"Cheat Days"....I started by giving up my pints (2) weekly, but now I just consider it a treat, but only one pint..mmmm, just love my hagen daaz pistachio :), though I do try to still watch cals in weekly, and concentrate on portion control and fat intake.

As jjpptt2 posted, there ya go. Just keep on, you'll get there, but as discouraging as it may be, as I like to say, "Keep on Trucking" as us tractor trailer drivers say. :) I know My workouts seem excessive as a few have said, but the bike burns many cals. Mostly stationary bike, and moderate upper body workouts, since…

My last entry was July 17. I'm at 175 from 205...Mine said this: If every day were like today... You'd weigh 149.5 lbs in 5 weeks No way do I want to go as low as 149. At 5'8" and small boned, I'd be a skeleton, lol. Goal is for 160 again.

Low-carbohydrate diets have tremendous potential in the prevention and management of psychiatric disorders. I just wanted to comment on this part, being I'm diagnosed with Bipolar, Depression and Anxiety, which I take Meds for...since 2005. That part is just..like I joke about Myself..."Wacky" The bullet points I can't…

Great You still are a go, go, go individual. The "elderly" comment just had me laughing, I almost fell over. :) I turn 58 soon, and I am the same, and as another commented, Age is just a number, for most anyway.

Carbs are not bad, or as Tony the Tiger would say "They're Great :) Without them, I could never do my 2hrs on the bike...need that gas so to speak :)

:) I can only take people, in this case a woman for a short time, and who knows, them me ;) , so a deal breaker if it makes sense, is No relationship....that being said Drama would be the issue, based on my 39 yrs from age 18

I use the 220 less 57= 163 max HR. I just wanted to comment on the harder, decent shape, and it's not pleasant I'm not fit really. Recently started back at gym 5/23, but skipped many days, so total days so far is 25. I strive for 2 hrs on bike with a steady HR between 125-130 (77-79%). I don't find that really all that…

I see and read that cycling don't seem to be on list for HIIT. That's nutty to me. Oh Well. I just used 1hr of bike in gym as my example...i'm 57, using 220 -57, max HR is 163. (1)..79% = 130bpm ....(2) 85% = 140bpm....(3) 93% =153bpm In that 1 hr I'm pretty much constant at 75% to 79%. I'll get to 85% 2-3 times briefly in…

i reckon' with some it can be difficult. I also believe many that come here and do food loggings, you get an idea of what is ok, as in not having huge calories from fat. Salads are safe with FF or low fat dressing :) , with chicken strips. Or as missysippy930 said

Just wanted to inject some humor, my side anyway. Past 5 or so months I've gone from 205lbs to 178 currently, with 18 to go. Noticed the trend of buying new clothes...I get crazy pay  , disability. I asked for a clothing allowance for new, they laughed :) ...obviously last sentence just a joke. But kudos for ya'll…

Just started working out again 5/23...gave up all my fave comfort foods...especially pints of Ben & Jerrys Pistachio Ice Cream....Am I correct in understanding that I can still eat a pint or two weekly? As much as I really really want to, I just look at those fat calories..680...ouch. Calories 280 x 4 = 1120 cal Fat cals…
