I'm 46 and weigh 213...down 15 lbs since last year. I'm perimenopausal and I have PCOS. I'm having a hard time losing the weight at a steady pace despite staying under my calorie goal. I need to add exercise and I know it will help but I hate exercising and that sucks because I used to love exercising.

Cleaning as exercise!?
Every Monday I clean a karate school and I wear my HRM. According to my HRM, I burn well over 200 calories in an hour and a half to two hours. This includes vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping the entire place. I do sweat. Should I count it or not?? I just don't know. Everything we do burns calories..

Swelling after workout?!?!
Do any of you ever swell up after a vigorous workout? I feel and look like a blimp and it is discouraging! My weight has even gone up :(

Fad Diets VS Healthy Eating and Exercise
I wonder if anyone has ever done a study on how many people lost weight with fad diets and kept it off versus a study on those who lost weight with healthy eating and exercise and kept it off. Gain over 20 lbs but only go up 1 size in jeans??
I just don't understand how I gained over 20 lbs but I only went up one size in clothes! There are people who say "I don't weigh myself, I just judge by my clothes". Well I tried that and guess what? No Bikini for me

Too many calories to eat!!!

Discrepancy in Calorie count
I really am struggling with this...Why does MFP say I need 1330 calories a day to lose 1lb per week but other calorie counting sites say more? Example; caloriecount.com says 1600...??

Do any of you fellow women ever feel completely discouraged
I gain 3-5 pounds during PMS week! All I can think of doing is drinking tons of water to combat it! It is extremely discouraging when I hop on the scale and see that jump! I feel like giving up...Does this happen to you too?
