Amusement Park Rides
Last night my family and I went to the county fair. My 5-year-old is able to go on some of the bigger rides this year but needs a parent for encouragement. My husband gets motion sickness so I have become her designated ride partner. We went on the gravitron (or something similar to that) and it was fine. But when we tried…

110 push-ups to represent type 1 diabetics
My step sister is a type 1 diabetic and started an awesome challenge to help raise awareness. Each day 110 people are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Everyday she does 110 pushups while recording herself. She posts the speed up video on Facebook using the hashtag #repthe110t1d. I have not posted a video yet and I am…

Introduce yourself
Hello, I am a 26 year old stay at home mother for 1 beautiful little girl (1 1/2) and I have a little man on the way. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and have already gained almost 20 lbs. My goal is to hopefully only gain another 10 lbs before my due date and develop healthy habits which will make losing the weight an…

Road trip Snack Ideas!
My family and I are going to be leaving bright and early Sunday morning for a road trip! While I am not going to be logging my food I do want to try and make some healthy decisions. Typically when spending long periods of time in the car I tend to eat pretty much Non-Stop! I am open to any and all snack suggestions, but…

Cravings!
I know dealing with cravings can be tough. What tricks have you come up with to help manage your cravings? I have been craving everything sweet, so I have been eating oatmeal or cereal with fruit. I have also learned that brushing your teeth mid craving can help.

What's your workout?
I started my pregnancy pretty out of shape. So, my workouts have been pretty simple; pregnancy yoga, walking, 20 minutes on the elliptical, and chasing after my 20-month-old little girl. My midwife has encouraged me to take my idea of working out and "let it out of the box". She told me many of the women she works with…

Let's be kind
I believe it is important to remember we are all pregnant here and maybe a little emotional. We should all do our best to be kind and encouraging to one another.

Is it ok to be doing other things besides just walking?
In addition to walking I have been planning on doing a 30 min 30 day DVD. Is anyone else doing additional workouts or are we supposed to keep it walking only?

I have been using MFP for 53 days so far and love the support I get and how easy the site/app is to use. Map My Walk
I was just wondering if anyone else uses this app? When I use this app I feel like it says I burned a lot more calories than if I had used my treadmill (to tell me the speed I walked) and then entered the info via MFP. Just wondering if I am the only one? it may also be the treadmill I use not displaying an accredit speed…

Step counter question
Hello, So I have a jawbone up which I have been using for a few weeks. My question is since most of the exercise I do is walking/running should I still enter that in to MFP in my exercise diary of just let the jawbone keep track. I do have the two synced, and have not normally been hit my 10,000 step goal.

Not much support at home?
I was just wondering if anyone else seems to have a lack of support from their family, specifically from the significant others. My husband met me when I was very healthy and I got even healthier once we were married. But after a loss in my family I started to let my eating and working out habits go down hill. He has often…
