Fitbit syncing problems
I just can't get my Fitbit to sync with MFP. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both apps a number of times and it just won't work. So, my question is whether there is actually any value in continuing to use MFP, or if it just makes sense to log my food directly onto the Fitbit app. The food tracking portion of the…

Breakfast Ideas
I am in a serious breakfast rut. I find myself eating an egg in a tortilla almost every day. Occasionally I mix it up with a bagel and some smoked salmon, or a bowl of cereal, but I need more choices. I don't really like sweet stuff for breakfast, but I'd love to hear any savory type dishes that people can come up with for…

Friends with open diaries
Hi, I really enjoy being able to see how other people eat and to get ideas from their food diaries. If anyone keeps an open diary and is looking for friends who also keep theirs open, shoot me a friend invite.

Salsa Recipe
Ripe tomatoes on the vine, bunches of cilantro in the garden, bush limbs heavy with serrano and Jalepeno pepper...it's time to make some salsa. I just tried Trader Joe's serrano salsa fresca, and I really want to try and duplicate it's awesome flavor. Anybody have a recipe that gets close to this one? If not, I'd love to…

Taco Time
Holy crap! Late dinner last night, so I swung by Taco Time to pick up some food. Apparently I consumed 1,300 calories for dinner :noway:

Best short duration workout video
I need a video that I can do in 10-15 minutes. Finding the time or motivation to set aside an hour for a video is unrealistic for me. Any recommendations of short, but effective, videos would be appreciated.

Dressing for Broccoli cole slaw?
I came home with a bag of broccoli cole slaw yesterday, instead of the regular slaw that my wife asked me to pick up. Now I need to figure out what to do with it. Can anyone here recommend a good dressing to put on it? Or a recipe it can be used in?

Kid friendly stir fry
Dinner tonight. Very quick and easy to make, and my three year old absolutely stuffed himself with this. I kept the hot sriracha on the side for us though, or I'm sure he wouldn't have touched it. Oh, and I used some Lundberg Black Japonica rice, instead of the white stuff, so it did take a little longer for that to cook.…

Cooking Light
Anybody else subscribe to this mag? It has some really tasty and healthy recipes in it, and the articles are usually really interesting. And, suprisingly enough, I've found many of the recipes listed in the calorie database here. Last night we had an artichoke and goat cheese strata that was from Cooking Light. And,…

Not a good start
So, my first day and I'm already over my 1,500 calorie target, and I haven't even eaten dinner yet. Who would have guessed that so many calories were locked up in a couple of breakfast burritos and a small plate of gnocchi? I may have to forgo my artichoke and goat cheese strata for dinner tonight in favor of some tree…

No calories for strength exercises?
Maybe I'm doing this wrong, but I did 25 push ups this morning and entered it into the exercise section. But it didn't register as calories spent. Should I assume that you only get "credit" for aerobic exercises, or did I do something wrong?

Greetings!
Hi, people. I just stumbled across this site and think it might provide some good tools to track my calories, both coming in and going out. I live in Moscow, Idaho. I'm 38 years old and could stand to lose ~10-15 pounds.
