Too much cardio?
Two - three months ago I started strength training 3x a week. It's going great and I feel so much stronger already. I also do Zumba or other types of cardio (running or elliptical) twice a week. I still have 15-20lbs I'd like to lose. Should I step up the cardio or would that hurt my strength training? What would be the…

Hello Ladies 35+ Do any of you have before/during/after strength training pics you'd like to share?

2 month progress. Strengt training. Pic!
Was tired, grumpy and had a rough morning. Totally unmotivated to go to the gym. One of those days where I tried to convince myself I wasn't making any progress anyway and that since the damn scale wasn't budging I might as well just skip the gym and eat chocolate instead. Scrolled through my Instagram feed and saw a…

Vigorous excercise - water retention?
Hi everyone I put approx. 10lbs back on over the summer (starting in spring). Now I'm desperately trying to get them off again and the scale won't budge. I'm eating 1200 - 1500 net calories per day and excercising 7 days a week (2 Zumba classes, 3 x strengthtraining + cardio, 2 x cardio only). I average 10k steps each day.…

-40lbs - Face comparison. PICS
Wow. When I compare these it's crazy to think that I don't see my success when I look in the mirror. I was around 205lbs in the before pic and I'm now around 165lbs.

The bare truth
Warning - if you don't want to read about personal body image issues, stop reading! This is my moment of truth! One I know plenty of my friends can relate to. I've been bitchin' to my reflection in the mirror lately. That I'm still not skinny enough, toned enough...good enough. That I "need" a tummy tuck, a boob job, a leg…

From 5k to 10k
Hi everyone I'm finally able to run 5km with no stopping or walking. This is huge for me as I couldn't run 200meters when I started my journey to a better lifestyle last year. I now want to train towards a 10k and sign up for one in the summer. Is this realistic? If I run 3 times a week how long do you think it will take…

Alcohol and water weight
How long does it usually take you to lose the water weight that comes with a night om the town?

New goals - when?
I'm very close to reaching the goal I set up on MFP when I started my journey. I thought at that time that it was my UG and barely allowed myself to dream I could reach it. Now that it's just around the corner I have a new goal in my mind. Should I register it on MFP now or wait until I've reached my current goal?

Down 48lbs. - Are those abs??? PICS
I'm down 48lbs since early spring this year. A slow and steady weightloss. I still have around 15-20lbs to lose but I'm really happy with the results so far. I think my abs may even beginning to show, or am I just crazy? LOL I'm not complaining. After having 5 kids I didn't even know if they were there anymore ;)

NSV with PIC
Bought this dress 10 years ago (without trying it on) and it didn't fit. Was too small! I loved the cute print and even though I clean my closet out every year and donate to the Red Cross I always kept this dress. And guess what? Now it fits - and it's almost too big!

Same dress - 1 year apart
I posted this on the motivation board but also thought I'd share it here. I' written before about how our minds play tricks on us and about not being able to see my weightloss when I look in the mirror. Comparing photos is the best way to see how far we've come. Just the other day I was telling my husband that my fat arms…

I've lost over 30lbs!
I can't believe I've already lost over 30lbs. Losing weight used to be the only thing I thought I couldn't do. Turns out I'm actually pretty good at it ;) I still have approx. 20 more pounds to lose and I can't wait until they're gone. Funny thing is, I still don't see the change when I look in the mirror. I do when I…

Bikini pics?
Does anyone want to share bikini pics and tell me their stats? Especially those who haven't hit their goal weight yet. I'm 5'4 and 166lbs (bmi 28) and hoping to lose 10lbs before we go on holiday in August. I would love to see some pics for motivation and inspiration.

Visible results - when?
How long did it take those of you who had no visible biceps/triceps to see visible muscle definition after you started working out? I'm 5'4 and weigh 167lbs (BMI 29) and I can't wait to see my arms get toned.

I'm halfway there
Wow. Can't believe I reached my halfway mark today :) 28.6lbs (13kg) gone since february 25th!!!

OK to run daily?
I wrote here a while back about not being able to run due to shin spleens. However, after having walked for hours every day for 12 weeks and doung lots of stretching the pain went away and I can now run for about 12minutes straight. This makes me extremely happy as I love running and really want to run a 5k (hopefully by…

I don't weight my food
I started my weight loss journey 10 weeks ago. In these 10 weeks I have lost 10kg (22lbs) just as planned. However, I hardly ever weigh my food. I measure with cups, spoons and my eyeballs and each and every week I have met my target. If I am eating something I've never had before and which I find impossible to figure out…

For how long will I lose 2lbs per week
Hi everyone! I have been losing 2lbs per week for the last 9 weeks. I know that my weight loss will slow down eventually but I'm wondering for how much longer I can "count on it" staying like this? What is your experience? At the moment I have a daily 1000 calorie deficit SW: 198 CW:178

Difference in 3 months?
Hi everyone I started my weight loss journey end of february and I have lost almost 20lbs since then. I still have 30 more to shed so will be working on this for some time. I haven't done any exercising besides walking at least 12k steps daily but now I want to start working out. I have made an agreement with my daughter…

Ugh!!! Please tell me it's waterweight
I went on a 4 day trip with a lot of food (and some of it very unhealthy) involved. I went 500-1000 calories over my daily goal everyday (I usually have a 1000 calory deficit daily). I stepped on the scale as soon as I came home and I am 6(!!!!!!!!)lbs heavier than I was Monday morning.

I see change! PICS
Yay! First 15lbs gone and I can already see a difference (hope you can too, lol). Really didn't think I would be able to notice visually until much further into the weight loss process. Stepping way out of my comfort zone here... Image removed by staff

30 day shred - Every day???
Hi everyone! Do you have to do the 30 day shred everyday to see results? I get much too sore if I do it every day. I would like to do it every 2-3 days and then walk for 1-2 hours the days in between. Will that prevent me from seeing results?

Heavy lifting-Women.How to start?
Can anyone offer advice on how to start lifting? I can't afford a personal trainer and don't want to do things the wrong way and end up hurting myself or using a ton of time and energy on something that doesn't work. Also, will I be able to build muscle while I'm on a deficit?
