~60 lbs and still going strong! Pics
So I started last year summer time, seriously since November '11. I've posted one of these before with some pictures of muscle development after doing strength training heavy. However recently I've had some serious NSVs and photos that really hit home how far I've come. I lost most the weight in the last 7 months. I hope…

45 lbs down and 5 mo strength training.
So I normally don't take pictures of things like this. But I was so awe struck by something I seen in the mirror the other day (a mirror different than my own). I realized that I have come a long way and wanted to share what a small investment in yourself can bring. I decided to take some pictures, this is after eating a…

Whey protein and nausea?
Does anyone else get nausea (upper abdomen ache) consuming whey protein? This has happened last 5 or so times like clockwork. Almost like I want to throw up, but then passes after hour? I'm not lactose intolerant, this same protein never bothered me before (+6lbs). Don't matter one scoop once, 3 scoops during day. Same…

Exercise NSV
So today I experienced a pretty neat NSV relating to my fitness. I been pretty hardcore the last few months with my routines, not compromising and finding a love for fitness. I definatly have my favorite things I do regularly. Well today, I had an appointment with a fitness trainer from my college in the a.m. Which is…

Question about loose skin
I'm roughly half way to my goal. I started this journey 245ish and now weight 206. I have also gained a bit of muscle and completely changed my lifestyle to include nothing but health. I'm now active, building muscle and found a new love for life as a result. I have no doubt I will get to my ideal. However, I do have some…

a Few NSV!
Since I started hardcore, doing this fitness journey I have had alot of positives. Things like self esteem, stamina, improved cardio, good strength training. I took a couple classes at the college in Hapkido and kayaking, which I would NEVER have done before. So those are just a few positives in my well being side. But…

Bodybugg vs bodymedia vs heart rate monitor
I know that the HRM only logs workouts, where the other two are more for an all day thing. I am looking to buy one for myself and am leaning towards a BB system. Anyone use these and can help me with the pro and cons? thanks

No inches, lbs lost but I gained a new vein?
So I am at a plateau. I lost 20 lbs over 3-4 months steadily with 1200-1400 calories and exercise regularly, (strength train 3x week, walking 3 miles 4 days). But then nothing.... for like 2 weeks. I did up my calories for fear I might be riding too low, have yet to see those results. But I'm not gaining, so that's a plus…

For the elite gym goers out there.
I have eased onto fitness training over the course of about 12 weeks. It started first by changing my diet. I eliminated nearly all processed foods, and educated myself on nutrition. So now I eat to live, not live to eat. And I rarely make compromises on this value since starting. I always get good sleep, keep my protein…

Does anyone else do strange foods to get your cals in?
So, I have noticed that my weight seems to be steadily deteriorating. I'm okay with that! Since I know, without a doubt its fat. Now, since I been active I take my 1200-1300 at 40/30/30 and often, I'm left with no carbs left, yet I need to fill a 20-50 gram protein gap and maybe 200+ cals to meet my goal. Who knew yogurt,…

How did you ease into 5k running?
So I have recently in the last 4 months slowly progressed on my journey to fitness. It started out eliminating processed foods from my house. Then to actually eating the foods I did buy (oatmeal, fruits, vegs, whole grains). I been doing at least a 75% whole foods diet for around a month straight. I feel great as a result.…

Despite weight, diet no budge for week!
So I am getting frustrated. I'm 222.2 on the dot and have been for the last 5 days. This is morning weight BTW. I work out 4 days a week, walk 3 miles at least 4 days week, and weight train. Why I feel the muscle, especially in my arms and legs. My capacity is high, my diet is at least 75 solid non processed foods the dang…

Sleep loss since working out
Since I started to be really strict with my calories and exercise (working out 3-5 days week 200-400cal, weight training) Last 2-3 weeks. at least 75% non processed foods. I have noticed that I am not sleeping 8 hours. It's not that I have an alarm or anything, or any responsibilities that wake me up. I simply just don't…

UGH I'm not sure I get this....
So I am 223lbs at 5'8 (31yrs) and have been exercising for 2 weeks now roughly 3-5 times week. I was at 239-245 (depending on scale) at my highest over summer. But I am getting confused by this whole calorie defeceit thing. I set my goals to roughly 1.5 lbs/week at 1500 calories since that falls perfectly in the middle…

Curious what everyone elses cal/exercise goals and success i
I am 31, 5'8 and weighed 239 at the start of my membership here. I originally in March, reduced most all foods that were processed, and starting counting calories. But I don't feel like I lost a lot of weight. So I bought a scale a month ago. I weighed 232 then. Today I weight 224 (these are morning weights BTW). I did…
