a Few NSV!

Since I started hardcore, doing this fitness journey I have had alot of positives. Things like self esteem, stamina, improved cardio, good strength training. I took a couple classes at the college in Hapkido and kayaking, which I would NEVER have done before. So those are just a few positives in my well being side.
But then about a month ago, I managed to fit into my favorite old jeans. They are 42 in mens, but what it meant to me was that I could actually wear jeans, that you can buy from a trend store! But more important, it meant a reversal of all the weight I gained in the last few years. There was a point in time I couldn't wear jeans not from Lane Bryant, and that weren't workout pants in XXL. So that was great, then a week ago, I fit into a single pair of 40s that I bought and don't think I ever even got to wear more than a few times before I gained weight. Then today, I managed to fit into a windbreaker jacket that I had bought in 2008, when I identified with being the thinnest in my adult life. Not only that, but it fit looser than when I originally bought it.
I tried that same jacket on maybe a couple months ago? And it was so tight, that if I wore it out and sat down, it would effectively be a girdle.
I already feel like I won! But I am staying on the journey... I still have 45 lbs to go until I will be "societies" ideal. But I'm sure smiling my *kitten* around in what feels like brand new clothes.
I am so happy, I took a knife to every single pair of XXL workout pants and tshirts I owned. Now that is a release!

Good for you!!!! I moved countries a year ago and bought with me the clothes that I didn't fit into and now I'm back to wearing all of them except for 2 pairs of jeans. I completely understand the feeling of fitting into things you couldn't previously, it's like your body's reward for being nice to it! lol0
