Sleep loss since working out

Since I started to be really strict with my calories and exercise (working out 3-5 days week 200-400cal, weight training) Last 2-3 weeks. at least 75% non processed foods.
I have noticed that I am not sleeping 8 hours. It's not that I have an alarm or anything, or any responsibilities that wake me up. I simply just don't sleep as long anymore. And I am fully energized after just 6 hours.
I started taking those BodyFortress protein shakes to supplement for protein for the weights. Could this have anything to do with it. Or is it just my metabolism is changing?

Same thing happens to me pretty much... I sleep about 8 hours or so and then I wake up like a pop tart in a toaster! I do get to the mid-afternoon time and feel kinda tired though and sometimes I nap.0

I just finished reading New Rules of Lifting for Women. The author talks about this and suggests its a sign that you're pushing yourself too hard, doing too much. He recommends backing off and then easing into the exercise again. You should be exercising enough that you're tired, but not so much that you're causing major stress to your body (which would presumably shoot your cortisol levels through the roof which would make you sleepless and anxious).0

It happens to me. Over ten years ago I was doing 45 mins weight training plus 1 hour of cardio six days a week for 15 months and had insomnia the whole time. As soon as I stopped, I could sleep.
I've been working out steady since May and have found sleep issues to not be bad at all. Then I started p90x last month and didn't sleep good for two weeks. I took a two week break doing not as intense exercise and slept great again. Then started p90x again a week ago and sleep issues again. Since I'm only working out an hour a day, five or six days a week, I'm just going to push through and hope it goes away.0
