Almost four years of strength training and attention to diet
On the left: 25% body fat and a 38 inch waist. On the right: 15% body fat and a 33 inch waist. Not quite where I want to be yet but I didn't think I'd ever be able to fit into size 32 pants again.

Why is tracking steps a thing?
I honestly don't get it. Why are people tracking how much they walk around during the day doing normal activities? I suppose if you're always sitting that it could be a motivator to get up and move, but when I see people complain that their Fitbit isn't recording the steps they're taking when grocery shopping I am…

Hit a long-term goal of 175 pounds
Broke the 175-pound barrier over the weekend. First time I've been at this weight in over a decade. I've come close to this weight a couple of times over the past few years, but could never seem to break through 177 for whatever reason. This time wasn't much different. Despite continuing to eat at a deficit, my weight…

Lost 13% of my BW since November.
Spent last year training powerlifting and put on a lot of weight (mostly fat but also muscle). Tipped the scales at my meet in October at 205 lbs which is the heaviest I've ever weighed. Hit all my goals at my meet and decided to get lean in 2019. I'm now 179 on my way to whatever weight will put me under 15% BF (probably…

Chicken Cacciatore
I made this on Sunday and have been eating it for lunch all week. Serve over pasta or add a cup of chopped zucchini or yellow squash for a lower calorie option. Dredge 4 lbs cubed chicken breast with 3 T. of flour. Saute chicken until golden brown in 1/4 cup olive oil with 2 T. chopped shallots and one clove minced garlic.…

In the 170s
For the first time since proably 2008 or so, I weighed myself today and was below 180. When I weighed myself about a year ago and tipped the scales at 194, I knew it was time to do something about it. I decided to start exercising again and really watching what I eat for the first time in my life. I've been losing and…

Just started Crossfit, What diet to bulk up?
Hi everyone. I just started Crossfit one month ago and am really enjoying it. I am pretty fit as it is but I've never done any strength training before and I'm looking to add a bit of bulk. A little about me. I'm 43, 5'11, 188 pounds and in good shape from a CV perspective. I run probably 20 miles a week. I also cycle some…
