Apple Watch sync question
So it’s been about 6 months since I’ve been on MFP. I previously had it linked to my Fitbit. I’ve recently upgraded to an Apple Watch. I have MFP set to maintenance calories. For yesterday it shows 1780 base + 258 adjustment = 2038 for the day. But my Apple Watch app shows 2347. That’s over 300 calories difference. It’s…

Getting bored. Need new cardio ideas.
I've been doing mostly step and zumba on my cardio days, but I'm getting bored and need new ideas -looking for strictly cardio (I do weights on alternate days) -I'm far from a beginner, but like low impact. I try to avoid running and jumping. -I'm not super coordinated -I need it to be indoors, I workout at 5am and it's…

Help figure out my activity level/TDEE
Trying to recalculate my TDEE. I'm female, 33, 5'3", 165lbs This time last year I was at the gym 5-6 days a week, swimming or lifting weights. Step count averaged 4-8k. I was eating 1800 calories. The scale was staying about the same, but I dropped 2 full jean sizes over about 6 months. Then I fell off the wagon. I haven't…

Workout tanks (women's)
Why are they all racer back? The sports bras I like have straps like a regular bra, so I can't wear racer back tanks with them. Anyone have any non racer back workout tanks they like? I don't care if they're cotton, I actually like cotton. But I don't really want to wear tanks from the regular clothes section as they tend…

Long slow walks giving crazy high calorie burn?
Anyone else find that long slower paced walks are giving crazy high calorie burns? Examples... 1 hour 16 minutes 5300 steps average HR 97 410 calories 2 hours 14 minutes 11500 steps average HR 102 794 calories (I know this was about 5 miles) These are not overly hard walks, they're walking with a friend, only slight…

Am I understanding this correctly? (Activity levels and adjustments)
So I've had my activity level at lightly active, which I believe is accurate. But I tend to be more active early in the day. My fitbit is giving me large positive adjustments during the afternoon, then subtracting calories in the evening and after I go to bed. Which is driving me crazy. So if I change my activity level to…

Is there a way to enter steps if you're not wearing your fitbit?
Say I take the kids to the pool. There's a big water slide and a play area. I know I'd get a decent amount of steps, but I can't wear my fitbit in the water. Is there any way to enter this? I wouldn't worry about it too much if it was a one time thing, but I'd like to make it a regular activity with them.

Food Diary problem
Sunday I changed the titles and order for the categories in my food diary. I figured for awhile I'd have to hunt for previously logged foods. I expected things like something that I had logged under lunch (previously 2nd line) to be under morning snack (new 2nd line), ect. Then after a few days my frequent foods would be…

Coffee vending machine calories?
Anyone know how to track something like this? I've looked at the database and googled, but I'm stumped. I've been getting coffee at the halfway point of my 8am Biology class twice a week, so I'd like to be as accurate as possible. The name on the machine is Cafe Pronto. Example 12oz cafe mocha. I thought of entering it as…

Would you log this?
We're taking the kids to an amusement park tomorrow. I expect to be on my feet and walking around for 10-12 hours. Defiantly way more active then a typical day (I'm set at lightly active). Now I know I shouldn't log all of that time, but would you log a portion of it?

Evening workouts, when do you eat dinner?
I prefer to go to the gym in the morning, but since school got out evenings are sometimes the only chance I get. So if you go to an hour long class that starts at 6 or 6:30 when do you eat? I feel like we would have to eat really early to eat before, and I don't really like to workout on a full stomach. On the other hand…

Spaghetti
I attempted to search the board for this but wasn't finding it. I know one serving of pasta is 2oz/56g dry, which is 1 cup cooked. Anyone know how many grams or ounces a cooked serving is? I need to measure it cooked since I'm cooking for the whole family, not just myself.

Food scales
Looking to buy a new one. Is there a difference in ease of use between the round ones and the rectangle ones? Anyone have one they recommend? Under $20.

HRM questions
I've been researching and I think I'm leaning towards the Polar FT4. Is this a decent budget pick if I'm mostly looking to track calories burned? This one doesn't sync to your phone, just the watch, right? I usually leave my phone in the locker room, I have no issues manually entering later. How long does the chest strap…
