Rate of Perceived Exertion for weight lifting
I've just started weight lifting and I'm trying to calculate calorie burn by RPE. I'm just trying to get a gauge to go by. I've got cardio figured out, now I have to figure out weights. Muscle gain question
Just a really quick question. And as I write it, I'm thinking it's a stupid question. "You can't gain muscle in a calorie deficit" What exactly does this mean? Does this mean your calorie NET can't be in a deficit, or that your food calories can't be below your BMR or TDEE? Or something else?
