Blood sugars won't stay down
Hi Everyone, I'm so glad this group is here and I'm hoping some of you have some insight. Last week I was hospitalized with the flu. I was so very dehydrated and all my numbers were off. A couple days after I came home, I noticed my sugars were going up and up. I'm on humolog before meals and lantus at bedtime. My fasting…

Weight Lifting/Strength Training
Hi everyone. Can someone please explain to me in layman's terms, why on earth my blood sugar shoots up on days I use the weights...I'm just not getting it. Am I not supposed to use weights? Also, if you're one that does, how do you prepare for the days you do lift weights. By the way, I'm on shots, not on the pump. Thanks!

Arc Trainer
Hey Guys! What am I doing wrong? I tried to use the Arc trainer yesterday at Planet Fitness. I'm on the treadmill a lot and wanted to try something different. I could only get through 20 min. of it...I felt like I was falling backwards the whole time. My feet were pushed all the way forward in my shoes and the tops of my…

MFP Exercise Calories vs. Machine Count
Hi Guys! I go to the gym regularly and have notice there's a HUGE difference between the calories MFP says I burning and what the treadmill or elliptical says I'm burning...any insight? Which is right? I normally put in what the machine says, but want to be sure that's what I should be doing.

Introduction
Hi Everyone, Glad I found this group on MFP! I hope to make some friends here  I've lost 30 lbs. It's taken me over a year to do it, and I do have a long way to go, but I'm thankful I've come this far. I have type 1 diabetes, thyroid issues and a lot of diabetic nerve pain, on top of the fibromyalgia. Every day is a…

Eating after 6 p.m. and cheat day
Ok, 2 questions...I seem to do better eating my dinner early. I'm wondering if this is psychological or is there really something to not eating after 6 p.m.? Also, I've heard people have had success with eating the goal calories most of the week, but having a cheat day...what do you think?

Fat, Carbs, Sugar....
If I stay at or under my calorie goal, how important is it to stay at or under the amount MFP has for the fat, carbs, and sugar?

BS rises when I am working my muscles
Ok, I've been a diabetic for nearly 26 years, but I still don't understand why my blood sugar shoots up when I go to Curves. I'm wondering if I need to just stick with cardiovascular exercise so this doesn't happen.

30 day Plank Challange

Easy C2 5K
Hey guys....anybody know of a C2 5k that's a little easier going? I cannot run, but I really want to try and think I just need a little longer to ease into it. Any ideas?

Sooo frustrated!!!
I've lost 26lbs...took me well over a year to do that and I need to lose 15 more to get to my goal. However, I've been stuck for over a month. I'm not eating any more than I was and exercising even more...what is going on?!?! I so wanted to get to my goal by the end of June and it looks hopeless. Okay, I'm done venting now.

Under 1200 calories
This has probably been asked before, but I wondered if it truly is "unhealthy" to eat below 1200 calories. It seems that is how I lose weight. If I eat 1200 or above, I really struggle, but under 1200 it's coming off. Anyone else experience this? I should add that currently I have no exercise routine.
-
Back Fat
Can anyone suggest some exercises for back fat that I can do at home? I only have small 5 lb weights...no machines.
-
Under 1200
Yeah, Yeah, I know...this topic has been discussed a million times over, but I just hav one question. Is there research in stone that eating under that amount will keep you from losing weight. Really, it's just a healthy curiosity I have :) Thanks!

O Calories but carbs?
I bought some lifewater...it says " 0 Calories, no artificial sweetener, but also says it has 4.5 g. carbs/serving. How does it have no calories, but carbs ? I thought carbs = calories...no????

Couch to 5K
Was wondering if anyone that isn't an athletic type tried the couch to 5k and if it's helped with weight loss. A friend of mine said it's really helping her.

Carbs, fat, protein...ect...
I'm on 1200 calories a day. I'm just wondering how much attention I should pay to the recommended values of the other things. If I eat the 1200 does it matter if I'm over the recommended carb, fat or protein amount?

Hi Guys! Just wondering how many of you who have been truly successful in losing weight drink alot of water. I'm not a water drinker and it seems like most people I know who've lost drink alot of water. What do ya think?

Hi guys! I'm so happy there's a group for Type 1's ! I started with MFP back in August, but didn't keep it up. Now I'm back to do it for real this time. I'm glad there's others who understand the unique issues of JD. Anyway, was diagnosed at age 14 and now I'm on humolog before meals and lantus before bed. I've already…

Adding calories because of exercise
I'm confused and I'm hoping someone will enlighten me. I'm pretty new here and I don't understand why calories are added on after I enter my exercise. I'm still eating 1200 calories without it, why should I add more? Isn't it better just to stick with the set amount of calories and exercise? Won't that help me lose faster?…
