Unsupportive friends??
Bemused by some people's reaction to me saying I've signed up for a 10k. Stupidly I suppose I was expecting support and for them to be pleased I handmade the commitment. It's a big deal for me.. Instead I have got , "Oh I ran a 10k a few years back. Should be fine."

When did you up your calories?
I joined MFP in July 2011 and have lost almost 50lbs since then . I have been on 1200 calories, but exercise and always eat my calories back. As I'm nearing my goal I am wondering whether it is time to up the calories a little. I have 8lbs to go before I meet my goal, but I'm still not sure whether this will be my ultimate…

5K runs and how to improve stamina and time
So....went for another run this morning. I found it really hard. Running tights?
Anybody have any advice on running tights for winter? I have some cheap ones which are not very thick. I think I might prefer something with a bit more compression.

Where do any of you get running tights? The only place I can fide them for tall girls is Nike and they are £50 which is a bit steep for me at the moment!!

Finished the couch to 5k but not running 5k. Advice?
I have just finished the couch to 5k programme. This is an amazing thing for me. When I started the programme I had never run before and now I am managing to ruin for 30 mins. And I have lost 41lbs so far. However, I am not yet running 5K. I am so slow that I am only managing about 3.5K in the running section. Anyone else…

Breathing problems during intense exercise
I attended an intense bootcamp session outside ( it was colder than normal) yesterday and suddenly 5 mins in found I was having breathing problems ( tight chest and couldn't catch my breath) and a runny nose. I don't have asthma. Any ideas what this could be?

I have been sooooo hungry this morning!! For a while now , hunger seems to have been under control ( I mean generally. over the past few months) .
