FYI: Beware of scammers & fakes
Ladies (and maybe Gents)... It has come to my attention just recently that there are people here on MFP who are claiming to be someone/something they are not. I have not used the community section of this app in a long time, but recently started using it again. A recent friend request I received was from someone claiming…

MFP Groups...Dead, Dying or Thriving?
When MFP Groups were first introduced I thought they were a pretty cool idea. Now I'm not so sure. I say that because it seems like GROUPS are dying off or already DEAD!!!! I am a member of several groups (5+) and NO ONE, absolutely NO ONE, posts in them anymore. What happened? Did everyone give up &/or quit MFP? Is…

What does your workout routine consist of?
I have been using Leslie Sansone Walk at Home dvds/vids, regular calisthenics (keeping them low-impact), body weight exercises (squats, wall push-ups) and doing strength training using resistance bands/tubes. Although I love Leslies workouts I have been using them so long, I am getting bored with the same thing. I have…

Still here
I haven't been active in the group the last month or so. Things have been crazy and gotten even more so. We're in the process of moving among other things. Just wanted to stop in and say HI, wish you all the best and PLEASE do not remove me. I'll be back when I can. I don't know if/how long we might be without internet,…

Any other 'Scapers' out there?
I've been debating posting this... but I'm curious to know if there are any other people on MFP that play or have played Runescape? I've met at least one so far from an old gamers thread in the forums. I've been playing for about 5 1/2 years.

Santa's Reindeer
Last night my sister told me about a website where you can watch a couple of Santa's Reindeer. Santa feeds them at 10am & 5pm EST. (EST = -5 GMT) The family gathered around the computer this morning & the kids squealed with glee to see Santa give them oats and more straw. He checked his mailbox cuz it's on camera too. We…

Attn: Walkers -- message from Leslie Sansone
I read this on a link I received from LS ( @LeslieWalks ) via twitter last night. Q.) What is the reason for the varying lengths of the walks? One day five miles, one day one mile. Wouldn't it be better to just walk three miles (or whatever) all days? A.) Varying lengths is so your body doesn't get "used" to the same thing…

Attn: Protein Powder users
I've just started using the Gaspari Myofusion & have noticed a bit of "change" in my body. An hour or so after drinking my shake it seems I get slight stomach cramps (gas maybe?) and shortly after need to use the restroom. Does it affect anyone else like this? Maybe it's something my body does as it gets used to it? I've…

Some Good News
Before I started MFP I couldn't stand more than 5 or 10 minutes without starting to get a backache. Tonight I stood and made my dinner and barely had any pain. I started MFP a week and a half ago. That's what happens when you're less sedintary. WOO HOO!!!

High Daily Sodium Intake
Lately my daily sodium intake has been high and I've been concerned about it. I know high blood pressure was a factor but I didn't know what other possible risks there might be. I did a search and found a helpful article. Sodium in the body is mainly found in the fluids that surround the body's cells, such as the blood and…

HELP: creating a "my food" entry
I've been trying to figure out how to make a food entry for a meal I prepare for my family. It's not the healthiest but if I choose to eat it, I need to make an entry. It's kind of like a soup or hearty stew & I make it in an 8 or 12 quart stock pot. The serving size would be 1 cup of the stew along with 1/2 cup of cooked…

Odd Cravings (not pregnant)
Over the last year, I've been getting what I call an odd craving. It doesn't happen often but it concerns me somewhat. Sometimes I get the craving for meat. I don't know if my body is trying to tell me something (need more protein?) or what. I am not a vegetarian or vegan or anything like that. I haven't had any cravings…
