Is it harder to start being active at 50?
I have been fighting my weight all my life. In my 30s I hit a sweet spot of healthy eating and exercising for a few years. The weight and bad habits creeped back and here I am still struggling with weight as I’m about to enter my 50s. I’m exercising again and am finding it difficult to keep up with my 10-years-younger…

I slipped and fell
I slipped and fell and have been going down a mud slide for 9 months now. Spiraling out of control... yet on purpose? I tried something new but somehow the damage done over the years was too deep. I was losing grip. A grip I found so hard to hold. I thought this change was my answer. Instead, 9 months later, I've lost…

Fitbit the "one"
Hi, I'm looking into getting a fitbit for Christmas to not only motivate me but also to gauge how many calories I am actually burning. What are your thoughts? Recommendations? Is it worth it? Accurate (or close enough)? Anything better out there? Thanks!

Easy question
How often do you recalculate your TDEE? As your weight fluctuates, I imagine TDEE will have to be readjusted? I've put on some weight in my upping and reset...started about 3.5 months ago. I just know that this is the way it should be, it feels right. I believe I'm doing the right thing, though not sure of the journey and…

I've tried to lose the weight I've regained, but over the past 2 - 3 yrs, all I've managed to do is maintain my weight. Been on MFP for…

I'm stomped..
After completing my daily diary, MFP forecasts what I would weigh if I ate the same for 5 weeks. Well, every time I complete my diary, MFP says I'd be about 5 to 10 lbs less if I'd do the same for 5 weeks. Sounds great! So why is it that I've yet to lose anything after 140 days? What am I doing wrong? Any insight/theories…
