I was very very slow (but not last horray!) and I'm already mentally planning a training plan to get into shape over the next year. I didn't have loads of gear, just my normal commuting bike etc but it was…

Half way photos! 196lbs ->165lbs
I started on MFP in February 2011 and I have made it halfway to my goal and lost over 30lbs. I am only 5ft2 so starting at 196lbs was pretty bad. I'm very proud of how far I've come. I'm halfway to my initial goal of 132lbs, which will get me into the 'healthy' range. I can't really see much difference in the photos but…

Electrolysis experiences?
Hi everyone. As I'm starting to feel better about myself (woo hoo for losing weight) I'm considering electrolysis as a method for permanent hair removal. I was wondering if anyone has tried electrolysis (professionally done) and if they really got premanent results? I'm willing to spend my time and money doing this as long…

Hi everyone, Like a lot of you, I work at a desk. Not only does this mean I'm stationary most of the day - I also have a whole host of yummy treats in chocolate machines and shops nearby. One of the major ways I've managed to lose weight so is by cutting out the office snacking. Here are my tactics 1. Drink masses of…

I need some ideas and motivation. I've always been crap at sports in general. I've got big boobs and short legs and just don't feel…

Ahhh my legs!! n00b runner needs advice!
Hi All, I've been on MFP for a few months and had success so far with cutting my cals and eating healthy to lose weight. I'm now trying to gear up my exercise and the most efficient way seems to be to get into running. I'm 5ft3 and currently ~180lb so quite overweight for my height. I'm not, by any means fit, but I'm not a…

Working out at home - no shoes
Alright people, this is a bit of a weird question but I'm going to ask it anyway. I've recently starting doing some exercise DVDs at home in front of the TV on the carpet. However, I've been taking my trainers off and doing it barefoot or with socks on. I just feel a lot more comfortable without shoes! I used to do ballet…
