    Good day all. I was bad yesterday with family get-together. I ate too much junk. My FBS was 124 this morning.

    133.2 7.4 I'm starting to think that the 7's(126) are my 'normal'. I'm going to the doctor today, so I'll see what she thinks. My diabetes educator said the numbers they quote are a general guideline and that not everyone will fit that range. I do notice, when I'm below 6 or 5(108-90) I start to feel shakey and ill.

    Same here! That was my BG today too.

    To make the conversion...
    Mine was 4.9 fasting this morning so multiply it by 18 to get the US number..so mine was 88.2. That's pretty normal for me..I usually hover just under 5 for the last 4 months..before that I was in mid 5's. I think it's great because I have lost 66.2 lbs and that makes a difference to my insulin resistance :)

    If you have fasting of 117 then divide by 18 and it's 6.5.

    Canada, UK, Australia and most everywhere uses our metric system. The USA is imperial. Hope that helps.
