    Noodle~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Sorry you didn't win at Bingo! But at least you had a wonderful time!!! Why would you skimp on shrimp! They are a GREAT food choice…low in cals…high in protein! I LOVE shrimp too! And lobster…luckily I live in New England where it’s readily available FRESH!!!!

Karen~ Never feel silly about any comment made here! We are all here learning all kinds of new things! I too find the APP not particularly user friendly…that’s why I asked! I know how frustrating that scale is…it is for me too! But we can not let it rule us! Give yourself a BIG HUG because you didn’t get discouraged or give up!!! You are still here!!!

Aaliceinw~Too bad we can share a little of our weather LOL…I could cool it off for you and you could warm it up a little for us!!

MdwstQT~So glad you had a nice walk! I can’t wait for the warmer weather either…hubby and I already have plans to do some good mountain climbing! Although I am sure I have a longer wait than you LOL! We got another 14” of snow today and it’s supposed to snow through tomorrow afternoon! UGH!!! We went climbing in June and found a snowman had built on top of the mountain once!

Cindy - I am sorry for you with all that snow. Instead of you having extra curricular activities, you have extra curricular exercise ;)

Noodle - I am glad you had a nice birthday and enjoyed your shrimp.

QT - you are tearing it up!

Karen - Hang in there. Sometimes we are the last ones to see the progress we make.

Alice & barlovo - Are you ladies home or on the road this week?

    Hi Ms. S

I wish all of you an awesome and fruitful week :)

Cindy, I have to stay away from shrimp because it's one of my "danger" foods, as in I lose all control. Also on the list carrot cake, lasagna, popcorn, peanut butter cookies or cups and a few other not so great things. A lot of foods I can have a little & be ok, or skip altogether, but these are the foods that I cannot resist, so I try to avoid them so I don't overeat.

I hope everyone has a great Monday, I'll check in later.

Noodle; I hate fish so shrimp would be the furthest from a danger food for me but give me some Restaurant Chips and Salsa and I'm in my danger zone. Strangely enough I've had to banish going to Jack in The box for their beef taco's, I don't know why I love them so much but I do. I've been Jack in the Box taco free for 3 years now.

What I get now when I go there if I have to is the chicken fajita pita

Another danger food is Nacho cheese Dorito's, Almost any kind of fruit pie especially cobblers like apricot or peach OH MY!!!!

Then there is the 3x a year insatiable craving for Panda Express Chinese food, spicy chicken, rice, noodles and teriyaki chicken. Ughhhh. So much sodium and calories. I can't eat there like I use to.

My gf laughs at me because I absolutely love a good garden salad and every time I'm eating salad which is often these days, almost daily I say "Gawd, I love Salad" lol, she has to be tired of me saying that

Karen~ Glad you are finding your way around better lol! I know it's seems easier the more familiar and comfortable it is! We don't have Jack in the Box here on the east coast any more. I remember them from when I was a kid but I think they went out from here around the late 70's early 80's.

Liz~ I am definitely getting the exercise part of this snow lol! They are predicting another Nor'easter for us Thursday into Friday! :'( I think I'm losing my sense of humor about it now!

Noodle~ i hear ya with the shrimp. I LOVE it too but fortunately for me I love it sauteed with lemon juice...mmmm and VERY LOW cal!!!

Have a FAB_U_LOSS evening my friends!!

Cindy: whoa that's snow!! I grew up in MN and that's a lot even for us!!

Mystic lizard: I'm home most of the week except for a thurs overnight. One biz dinner out, otherwise I am bringing my own food.

One positive thing I wanted to share: my appetite is finally adjusting to the MFP calorie level. I started MFP almost six weeks ago and it was brutal at first. I had been on weight watchers where the plan is that fruits and veg don't "count". This has been a big change and I do still get hungry but it's not as intense as it was in January. Yay for small changes!

Wow Cindy. That really is a lot of snow. Meanwhile on this side of the earth people are crying for winter.... not me, I had almost 40 years of real winters thanks but never, ever this much snow. I can see where you would lose your humour. I do hope that you don't get too much more with the next storm.

That is really awesome Barlovo. Well done for sticking to MFP regardless of the hunger pangs. I've become addicted to fruit... so it's a challenge for me too at the moment.

Karen, hopefully you can reintroduce some of your favourite foods again within reason.

What a beautiful home Alice, so lovely and warm looking lol.

Cindy; My goodness! I remember those snow days living in Colorado and Big Bear lake, California. I have to say I don't miss it lol. I do miss the lovely spring and summers though. Beautiful country. Heck one can even find beauty in the snow when you're not getting clobbered as you are. I feel for you. That's a lot of shoveling. Can you say how high is your Berm? LOL

Barlovo; I have to say that is one of the most encouraging posts I've read on here. THANK YOU! I mean seriously this hunger thing wants to make me binge and I am fighting it every day. It's great to know eventually my body will adjust. Thanks for posting that as it really made my day :)

Alice - What a beautiful home and how blue the sky is. It is blowing and snowing, but nothing like Cindy has.

Barlovo- Thank you, I too am struggling with being hungry, especially in the evenings. I am coming in under, but just barely some days.

Went to the memorial service today. It was a beautiful gathering, confirmation that he was was such a good guy.

These last two days I've been "off" with healthy choices. I've just been in the dumps.

QT healthy eating sometimes is an Eb and Flow. You will get back on track. Be kind to yourself knowing your heart is grieving. I'm so sorry for your loss. ((((gentle hugs)))). Its times like these we realize how fleeting life is and how we need to embrace living it to the fullest and getting healthy is a way to do that. Take one hour at a time if you need to.

    Hello my lovely L.O.S.T. friends!!!
Liz~ It’s actually turning out to be a great way to work out but….wow enough is enough! I’d rather go to the gym lol! I am a New Englander heart and soul though…snow and all!

Barlovo~ Yea we get snow every winter but this year is crazy!!! I’m so glad you are progressing daily with this lifestyle change! I also did weight watchers but they change so much all the time. My fruits and veggies were never freebies…fruit was supposed to be very minimal ;certain fruits were very high point values and 3 years later those same fruits were very low point values? It was hard to get used to again. Then they started pushing a lot of processed meals like smart ones etc which had such high sodium content…I liked WW when I did it but it became very confusing for me when one time something that was good became bad when they revised things.

Aaliceinw~ Your home is lovely!!! I like your gardens. I won’t be seeing my yard for quite some time and I think most of my flowering bushes will need to be taken down in the spring. This snow has been quite rough on them.

Karen~ Even though I’m getting clobbered with snow and honestly quite frustrated some days…I LOVE New England. I moved out to Indianapolis, In when I was younger…I actually taught there for 8 yrs…but I hated it! I am not a city girl at all…give me a small town where everyone knows everyone any day! Here I have the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire within a 40 min drive and the ocean about 45 minutes away! I LOVE it!! LOVE the chameleon comment! I always look the same…it gets very boring lol!

MdwstQT~ (((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) to you! I am so sorry for your feeling down. Losing someone is the WORST!!!! And there is nothing we can do to make it any better…I think that is the worst part! I truly wish there were something I could say or do but my prayers are all I have for you and the virtual hug! Please know we are here if you need to chat!

    Have a FAB_U_LOSS evening my friends!!! <3

Aaliceinw - what a beautiful home!

MdwstQT - big big internet hugs and a shoulder to lean on too. It's a tribute to your coworker that you are feeling this loss so deeply. It's clear he touched many lives and that legacy will live on in all of you. Hang in there, we never really get over a loss like this but we do learn how to live with it.

Cindy - yes part of why I left weight watchers was because of the food pushing - all the junk food being marketed as "diet" food, the posters of pancakes and cakes at the meetings - it seemed like they were just trying to get us hungry so we'd buy more junk! And it's been good for me to track EVERYTHING - I had no idea how much I was grazing and nibbling on fruit and veggies through the day, until I started MFP.

So I've been sick all week and finally went to the dr. Strep throat - ugh! At least it's something that can be cured.... I just got my penicillin and started taking it this afternoon. I had been feeling sad I hadn't joined in the exercise challenge but now I know why I didn't have any energy at the end of the day.

Just to keep it honest- when I am sick I crave simple carbs. Knowing myself I'll be eating more white bread and pasta over the next few days, but I'm committing here to keep tracking whatever I ate, whether or not I go over my daily goal.

Thanks ladies! I really appreciate it, you guys are so awesome. I'm hanging in there and I'm not going to give up. It's like flood gates have opened but I'm shutting them down! I'm sad and that's okay, food isn't going to change anything in a positive way. I'm mustering up the courage to dust myself off to try try again.

QT take the time you need to grieve. Life always moves on regardless and too often, we think we have to get back to "normal" to please everyone else. Don't try to shut the floodgates while the waters are bursting through. If need be (and if you haven't already done it), get help from the psychologist because your colleagues passing may have triggered other painful emotions unconsciously that you might also be grieving. We are all here to support you but don't forget to get support closer by too. Big hugs to you in the mean time.

Karen, you look gorgeous and no it is not creepy at all - lol for the chameleon comment

Barlovo - strep throat sucks! And it really does kill the immune system so look after yourself and don't be too hard on yourself. Try and get some chicken soup - I don't l know why it works but it does help a lot.

Thanks everyone for liking my home. I was actually sharing the sunshine and beautiful African skies with Cindy and all of you stuck in the throes of winter.

It's a bad MFP week for me so far but it is what it is. I'm battling to get my three meals in and my calories. And no exercise at all yesterday. :(:\

Barlovo~ So sorry to hear about your strep throat! That is terrible. Make sure you get plenty of rest so it doesn't turn into anything worse!! I left weight watchers for the same reason. All the processed pre packaged foods. I had to giggle at your comments...our meeting leader, Hal, used to say if you bite it...WRITE IT! Because you don't realize how many BLTs you are having throughout the day! (BLTs= Bites, Licks & Tastes) LOL

MdwstQT~ We think you are AWESOME as well!! I'm happy that you have not given up on us or yourself and keep checking in! That is a HUGE VICTORY! <3

aaliceinw~ Thank you for thinking of me and sharing your beautiful blue skies and sunshine!

Sorry it's short for tonight...I'm pretty exhausted today! Have a FAB_U_LOSS day my friends!

Thank you guys :) Alice, I'm not shutting down the grieving gates, just the emotional eating gates. I know it will take time for me to grieve and I'm ok with that. I'm not ok with stepping back into my old comfort zone.

I can grieve without the pint of ice cream each night :# My coworker fought til the end and I will too. I'm not comfortable with staying here so today I'll begin again. B)
