Good evening ladies. Well the hungries seem to be leaving, almost normal day today (maybe bone broth?).
@Jane sorry sorry to hear of your family's loss. Prayers & hugs.
@May would you like to come do my nails for the wedding? Those pics are awesome.
@Janice glad you're finding it easier to do all the gardening you've been doing. Sounds like you did a marathon on your "holiday".
@Karla as soon as my daughter gets home to show me how (lol), I'll post a picture of the Atkins treats I bought.
@Ellen sorry ZC isn't working the way you hoped it would, but at least you're not throwing in the towel. It's so interesting to hear how other people are trying different things (valerian, Rodiola, Sytrinol). I guess we all have to keep tweaking here & there.
Well off to bed (way early for me), another full day planting tomorrow & then I get to start weeding. (Have to wait til some plants are up so I can tell difference. Have a good night all.0 -
@Karlotta Thanks for your encouragement (and also everybody else)! If I remember correctly the lady who gained the 20 lbs when she began zero carb had already lost a large amount of weight on LCHF. Her appetite had increased a lot on ZC and she was consuming far more fat/protein/calories than I am. I don't know whether that makes a difference or not. My appetite dwindled when I went zero carb. I'm continuing the ZC but may eat a few carbs now and then. Like the avocado that I ate yesterday. Poor thing was ripe and soft and ready to be thrown out. I had to rescue it instead and it tasted might fine.
@Kitnthecat Whew. That's a demanding job you have, so kudos to you for keeping a level head with all the things you juggle. I'm glad the ZC is going well for you, and I hope it starts a big ol' series of losses! I agree that meat is very satiating and it doesn't take much to fill up. I have trouble getting in enough fat before my protein runs out--kind of the opposite of what you do. I don't usually put fat in my coffee. I'm not very much of a HWC girl either. Anyway, the best to you with the ZC!
@krazyforyou So sorry I didn't see your question about my ZC reference. Karla to the rescue! Hope you get that loss you're waiting for!
Have a great day, everyone!

This is post #700 for me!! Can't think of a better place to use it! You ladies are amazing and I am so glad to call you friends!
@wheatlessgirl66, I use her experience for motivation with my own scale ups and downs. Knowing that there are others who have been, or are going through, the same experiences has provided me with the ability to not give up. You are doing great by yourself for sticking with it too, even when it's frustrating.
I was visiting with my parents on Monday, who are both morbidly obese. Had the chance to talk to them about LCHF though I did try to not throw it up all over them, lol! I may have inspired them to try. I told them to give it thirty days, if they decide to, just to see. I'm hoping it happens and maybe can get my sister's, bil's, and nieces on board too. My mother did comment that I am looking skinny! I felt that was my opportunity to tell them about this woe!
Have a great day/night everyone!

@Kitn LOL at the honeymoon sleeping. You could be right I really hope that you get caught up easily at work. It really sucks that nobody fills in for you when you have time off.
@Jane I’m so very, very sorry to hear of your husband’s family news. That would be a lot to take for anyone and I truly hope it doesn’t impact on your holiday. I have once managed to find a spaghetti squash, it was fascinating that’s for sure! I did laugh about the Wind Wars. Fair’s fair after all, and ‘Do as you would be done by’ comes to mind. And I read your sentence to David about wanting me back and he laughed. And thank you for liking my nail art. I always used to get in trouble at high school for drawing so very, very small. Now we know I was practicing ready to paint my fingernails LOL And I agree – come on ladies, show us your other talents. I love that we’re all friends as well as ‘dieting’ buddies here in this thread!
@Karlotta Oh… wooooooooowwww! Heartiest congratulations to you on having a ONE at the front. Squeeee. I thought I heard something, so now I know it was you!
Thank you @Karlotta @Kitn and @Ellen for enjoying my nails too. It’s a hobby and creative outlet that I enjoy so much! My little once-a-week treat to myself.
@Ellen I so hope that you start to lose weight really soon. I know how frustrating and bewildering it is to be stuck even when you’re doing everything humanly possible.
Hi @krazyforyou
@Kate I’m so pleased your hunger is under control at last. Whew! If I lived closer I would definitely love to do the wedding nails.
All went well with the surgeon today. As he walked in he said something like “I see it was all a huge success by that happy grin!” David returns to work as scheduled on Friday, and then resumes properly on Tuesday arvo after his 3 rostered days off LOL
It's taken me about 3 hours to write this, and we're off to bed now. Sleep well each of you, when it gets to be your turn for bed.0 -
@GrannyMayOz, I told you that you would "hear" it, lol! Glad the surgeon was happy with the recovery. I know it's so nice to have hubby home, but it's nice when they do return to work too, lol! They do cramp our style a bit! Good night! Oh, btw, I ordered me some valarian last night. I do need something to help calm me too and hope this helps! {Hugs}!0
-
I've got to put this out there! My "sticking to it"has finally paid off! Weighed myself last night (which I don't normally do) and showed a 3.5lb. loss! Then, this morning it's down some more, another 1.2lb.! I'm amazed at the whoosh my body is finally giving me! I could have given up, felt defeated, many times through this process, but I'm sooooo glad I didn't! Sticking it out is so worth it! I now weigh less than my hubby for the first time, ever. We've been married almost 24 years and dated for four years before that. I've spent way too much time being obese! Oh, and this morning's weight loss makes me just overweight, not obese, according to the BMI calculator! It's definitely time for a pedi! Need to seriously reward myself!0
-
Woohoo! Go Karlotta!0
-
Oh Karlotta, that's the most amazing and fantastic news for you - and all of us here who are rejoicing with you!!!0
-
Way to go Karlotta? Think it was turning meatavore that kicked in the losses?0

Hello Everyone!
What a busy bunch you have all been. I'm not even going to try to comment on all, just know that I'm glad you are all here and that it seems most everyone is doing really well. I actually missed you ladies!
I went on a cruise for a week and came home to a flood. UG! Some pretty bad damage to home and property but thankfully everyone in my world is safe and healthy. We are making in thru this mess and will come out stronger and closer on the other end. Lots of kids graduating and celebrations going on right now so we are working really hard a focusing on the happy stuff and not the water/mud. I hope all of the rest of you came out of it safe and without much damage.
Work?! again, UG! lol I've missed so much and no one else fills in for me so I've just now started to be able to even see my in baskets! They were so full I couldn't even find them for a week or so. I'll get there, and I'm grateful at this point to have a job and something to pull my mind from other things for a few hours a day. Sorry if that sounds "o poor pitiful me" as I really am grateful.
Looks like there are several new ladies with us and I welcome you all. I've read thru most of the posts and I've again learned a ton. I'm going to try the valerian root, sounds like something I would benefit from. Have any of you tried Ashwagandha? My Doc says its great for women and cortisol levels and helps with weight loss. I've only just started it last week and with everything going on I can't really say if it's helping anything. I'll let you know. I'm trying to get my walking in everyday. Usually just 15-20 min a few times a day but it gives me a break and the weather is actually nice right now. All you fellow Texans know it will be hotter than hades here all to soon.
Gotta get back to work for now. We are meeting with the ins people about the house at 3, that should just be LOADS of fun..........
Take care ladies and thanks for being here!0 -
@Karlotta We're all so pleased that you've had this monumental WHOOSH and moved into a whole new territory! That's a huge accomplishment!
@RATSMITH69 I'm so sorry about your flooded home and thankful that you're all safe! Such a difficult thing to return to. I hope the insurance coverage will be what you need to get things repaired! I just bought a bottle of Ashwagandha after seeing it mentioned so many times in my reading. Do you know if it can be taken along with valerian root? I haven't started either one yet, but I'm eager to get them going after my procedure. Plus the Syntrinol! With all that plus ZC I ought to get some kind of response. I measured myself again this morning---yep, it's all still there. Hope the Ashwaganda works for you soon!

Oh@RATSMITH69! I'm so sorry for your flood experience. I've see on the news where they have compared it to hurricane Katrina, which I lived through on the Mississippi Gulf coast. I know that the pictures I've seen don't do anything to reveal the true damage! Just know that I understand what you are going through! I'm glad your job didn't wash away, like mine did, and you do have somewhere to be to occupy your mind a bit. Maybe being so busy catching up has been somewhat of a good thing. Is your home still livable? Gosh I hope so! I hope y'all are getting the help you need too! What a way to return from vacation! May all of the graduation celebrations be joyful for all! Good luck with the insurance adjuster too! Bless you!0
-
@Rebecca Wow! It’s so good to have you back, and your amazingly positive outlook too I hope the cruise was truly awesome and I’m so sorry about everything that you came back to. Truly hope everything works out for you quickly and that life can become the ‘wonderful boring’ that I appreciate every day that gift is given
I just came across this video on YouTube and, although I don’t agree with everything she says, it’s the most wonderfully uplifting and joyful celebration of the lives of us older ladies. I hope you all may enjoy it too.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=OgZVRV7jqWc
I have a hula hoop and learned to use it a couple of years ago. Let the skill go when we moved house... ahem... 3 years ago and, when I tried to use it again recently I'd forgotten how. I can't seem to pick the skill up again for some reason, but now I will keep trying tee hee!
I was back down to my lowest weight again this morning after only a tiny deviation of a couple of days, not the usual rollercoaster for weeks and weeks. Still very happy with the valerian. But, as others have said... should we also take Syntrinol and/or Ashwagandha, or is it a 'choose which one you want' situation. Decent answers are so hard to come across aren't they? There is no exhaustive list of possible interactions between natural products.0 -
@GrannyMayOz Thanks for the YouTube link, I'll give it a watch. Uplifting and joyful is always good! Good luck with the hula hoop--your hubby will enjoy watching your practice sessions! So nice that your weight is responding more quickly these days. I can't wait to get started on the valerian, the syntrinol and hopefully the ashwagandha. Just still have to find out if they can be taken together. My doctor wouldn't have a clue and would just say no. I've tried to find the answer online, but so far no luck. Will keep trying though. I don't want to load up on too many substances that might clash with each other. It seems like the sytrinol could be taken with either of the others, but not sure about mixing valerian and ashwagandha.
Wonder of wonders, dear ladies, I have lost a new pound! I hope it's the beginning of the trend that seems to be going around! My calories have been low the past few days, so maybe that's the reason. Whatever, it is nice to see!

Oh Ellen, my fingers and toes are so crossed for you that the pound lost is the beginning of many more to come! And please let us know what you find about the supplements.
I sure hope you enjoy/ed that link now. I just found it lovey.0 -
I've emailed my Doc and herbalist about the mixture of Valerian, Syntrinol and, Ashwagandha. I'll let you know what they say. I'm blessed to have a Doc that is willing to work with natural before resorting to chemical/drugs. I'm taking the Ashwagandha and have put the Valerian on my list of things to get but I think I'll wait for a reply before I go in search of the Syntrinol. And what is the ZC?
Ms May and Ms Karlotta thank you for the kind words and concern. Who knew you could log into a random website for info on diet and stumble upon such an amazing group of women! and congrats to those of you that have found things that are working for weight loss.
I HATE to be a downer!! We all go thru things in our lives that crush us and we wonder how will we ever survive and move on. I try very hard not to dwell, try to take the lesson to heart and move on, try really hard to forgive and let go, and most of all I try very very VERY hard to find all of the other things in my life at that time that are positive, good, and blessed so that I am focused on the half full and still hoping for the "cup runnith over". For every one bad thing in my life I can name ten good things so I am very blessed.
Insurance adjuster came yesterday.... kinda hard to explain -- the houses look great from the outside but all three have shifted on the foundations. **note - we built four houses at the end of a cul-de-sak about 11 years ago. My Moma and I live in one, my oldest son and his friends live in one, my Grandflowers and their Mom live in one, and we rent the other out to a lovely older couple. The three houses that my family live in are damaged but not one scratch on any of us! The 'shift' has damaged all of the plumbing, walls, etc (think anything that comes from the floor thru the walls) so they are not livable. The adjuster says we will need to demolish and start over. Sounds horrid but I'm really grateful that we were able to save "stuff". Yes, there is a lot of damage but we still have pictures, family Bibles, baby things, ... you know, all those things that you hear of people loosing and it just makes you hurt for them. While the furniture and some stuff was damaged so many precious things were not. It has really put us back in a place of remembering how lucky we are to have each other!! And, as my Moma pointed out, we can rebuild knowing what little things we want changed - like the bigger pantry she has wanted for years and the wider hallway where the washer and dryer will be. She's right, we can build pretty much the same with just a few little tweeks. So, see, my cup is almost full as I will have a completely new home in about six months!! My Moma, my Grandflowers and their Mom, and I will be staying will a niece just a few miles away, and my oldest son Gavin and his friends are settling in with my youngest son, Codey until then. So there is another positive as I will get to see my Grandflowers and my great nephew Luke every day. The insurance will pay most of it. And the added cost? well, I will be paying a mortgage payment for the rest of my life anyway so what's 10 more years?!?!
Ms May, I took belly dancing lessons a few years ago. It was great fun and I was really surprised as most belly dancers actually have a belly! lol They say working yours hips and belly like that is not only good for your core but for your "lady muscles" too. Just a thought to keep you motivated with the hoola hoop.
Just found out that Kris Kristofferson will be doing a set at the Continental Club in Austin on the 20th and a friend got us stage side tables for 10 people!! That man just gets better with age, yummy!! pardon my drool.
Have a great day everyone and keep up all the great work with the weight loss. Hopefully I'll be back to loosing again soon.0 -
Good morning/evening ladies. Interesting thoughts on supplements. If my valerian ever gets here I'll start it. Been doing Mag on days I don't soak in Epsom salt bath (read here that it can go thru skin so don't want to double up) & cramps have settled down.
@RATSMITH69 so sorry to hear about your flooding. Sometimes the insurance people are worse than the event to deal with. A few yrs ago I returned from a trip to see neighbours carrying stuff out of my basement. It had flooded from a dam breaking. Their kindness overwhelmed me but sure made dealing a lot easier.
@GrannyMayOz glad to hear your roller coaster is slowing down. The hula hoop sounds great! (I never could get the hang of them).
@Karlottap & Kitnthecat so pleased for your losses. This is me happy dancing for you.
@wheatlessgirl66 hope your trend continues. Keep us posted on the supplements.
Have a great day/night everyone.0 -
Hello all!
@GrannyMayOz, I've been wanting to get a hula hoop. Love it when I was younger. Don't know if my body can move like that anymore, lol, but I'm willing to try. My valarian should be here today and I'm hoping for some restful nights and more calm too!
So glad your rollercoaster ride on the scale seems to be behind you! Thank you for the video too!
@wheatlessgirl66, Yippee for the loss!! I've been dancing all week for others and myself and now I'm dancing for you too!
@RATSMITH69, wow! Total rebuild on four homes! Amazing! Your good attitude shines through. The ability to see that you can come out better is awesome! Watch out for contractors coming to town just to rip people off (sad but it happens). Don't pay anyone in advance for work. Reputable people won't ask, but people looking to rip you off will. If anyone asks for money up front, send them packing. They don't have your best interests at heart. I'm sure you know all of this but sometimes the desire to get it done can make you forget. I sure hope things work out for the best and a bigger pantry sounds great! I look forward to hearing about your progress, aggravations and celebrations alike!
I had the opportunity to talk to my morbidly obese parents about this woe on Monday. They are really seeing my results (I knew they were watching) now. My mother called me this morning and they are starting! I've told them that I will help them as much as I can and will head their cheering section too! I've tried really hard not to "throw up" LCHF on everyone and let them see the results instead! I believe it's working! Hoping my sister's are next and my nieces too! Have a great day everyone!0 -
Hi ladies. Help! While I'm extremely happy for everyone's losses (whoosh would be nice) & forward momentum I'm just soooo frustrated (which is probably why I ate the stupid cookies last nite). No movement at all (weight/inches) in 2 weeks. At this point I'd be happy with even 1/2lb per week. Still haven't reached the "not hungry" stage & I'm pretty sure I'm in ketosis. Any suggestions would be welcome. I guess I shouldn't whine too much as health wise I'm feeling better most days.0
-
Help is on the way ! Don't give in Kate, it will happen to you too in time, I know it ! After an initial weight loss in March of 13 or so pounds, I only lost 2 pounds in all of April and May. I know how frustrating it is to have no movement on the scale except in the wrong direction !
Stressful or busy times for me tend to make me want to eat more in general, but to also eat more carbs. I am learning what my body likes in terms of weight loss, but it takes time. My experiment with dairy free was a good one for me, as well as giving up nuts and berries. But knowing that I wanted to be zero carb in June had me upping my carbs during my vacation, so my weight went up a bit. I knew my calories weren't sufficient to be able to truly gain that weight and have it stick, so felt in the back of my mind that this weight would come off as soon as I lowered the barbs again. My biggest indication of that was that, although the scale had not moved, and in some cases went up.....my clothes have been getting way looser and falling off me ! So now that I am as close to zero carb as I can be for now, this weight has been whooshing off !
The best advice I can give is to stick with it through thick and thin. If temptation arises, choose a substitution that will cause the least amount of damage, one that will allow you to still feel the satisfaction of having a treat, but that won't make you feel so guilty that you screwed up, that you continue to up the carbs. Yes, I chose to have carbs May 27-29, and I enjoyed some of them, others not as much, and I have an idea formulating in my mind about which of those was worth it, and which I might not choose to eat again due to how it made me feel, or how enjoyable the experience was. And the scale went up, which I expected. But I did not allow myself to jeopardize my downward trend by continuing to eat carbs and not be as careful as I had been from March to May 26. I laid the groundwork during that time, and now it is time to be more careful once again.
I can tell you very certainly, that I still had cravings for food when I upped my carbs. Drinking alcohol too can make me want to eat more. Not necessarily bad or more carby food, but just more food. My hunger only goes away when I reduce the carbs dramatically. I seldom had cravings when I was aiming for under 20 g carbs, but now that I am trying ZC, I have no craving whatsoever, and that is so cool ! Maybe watch the carbs and see if this happens to you. I suspect that any sweet taste in any form, as well as nuts, and anything remotely starchy are triggers for cravings for me. I am also having more success monitoring my dairy intake. If ZC allows up to 4 ounces of cheese per day, I will aim for under 2 ounces for instance.
On another note, I also know how frustration over slow weight loss can make me feel more depressed and not as motivated to continue. But this time feels so different for me, way different than any other weight loss adventure. I am extremely determined to succeed. But also very different this time around, is an utter lack of pressure on myself. I feel so calm, I am not worried about how long this might take. It reminds me of my mindfulness meditation training....where you learn how to separate yourself from the judgement we usually subject ourselves to when the multitudes of thoughts enter our minds ( not always good thoughts....) I feel like I am outside my body, observing with detachment....I am floating and observing, and making changes to suit, without the emotional distress I have previously felt. This is huge for me !!!!
I will stick with it until I am satisfied that I have completed my journey...but after that I will work hard to maintain what I have lost. I am having so much fun with this ! I feel so much control, it is amazing. Having all the support on MFP and especially this group, makes all the difference. We have all been in the same place. We will hold each other up and provide advice when someone needs a bit of help.
If this helps, I will share my progress over the past 2 weeks. My weight fluctuates widely depending on many factors, I have learned. But I am only concerned about the downward trend. I also only will report a change of weight on MFP when I reach a new low weight. I never log the increases or fluctuations. And I can stay in one place for one month before finally seeing a lower weight, after bouncing around for weeks.
May 23 - regular LCHF - 96.6 kg / 212.52 lbs - up from my low weight of 96.1 / 211.42
May 30 - after vacation carbs - 97.9 / 215.38
June 6 - after 7 days of ZC - 93.6 / 205.92 - new all time low - 9.46 lbs less than 1 week ago, but only 5.5 pounds less than my previous low weight, if that makes sense. I know the true weight loss ( hopefully) is 5.5 lbs.
I don't let myself get down when I stray or if the scale doesn't move in the right direction. I think we just need to stick with it, experiment and see what works for us. I'm sticking with ZC for now, and will likely eat veggies again when the garden veggies are ready. I have no desire to eat any treats at all, so that is a great feeling. I will be looking forward to the fresh lettuce and tomatoes and cucumbers as my new treats.
This whoosh I am having now, is such a nice surprise for me. But I think I did all the hard work in weeks before. And since eliminating the carbs, my body has let go of a lot of water again, just like in the beginning. Maybe my weight loss will continue this way, in steps. No movement for a month or two and then whoosh, who knows ?
I'm sorry if this post may be too long, and hopes it helps you.0 -
Thanks Janice. Was really ready to throw in the towel this morning, but after working (& pouting) in yard all day I realized I can stick with it. I went back over the past 30 day carb report & only a few times was I over 20g, & past week have been mostly <10g, so things should start shaking up soon. I really appreciate your help. Going to have BPC with extra cream with hubby on deck & enjoy the rest of the evening.0
-
@Sk8Kate, it would have been easy for me to throw in the towel during April and May too! The lack of loss can be very upsetting. Just remember how far you've come already. The time you've committed will pay off eventually.
@Kitnthecat, we sort of paralleled each other there. Your story reads near the same as mine! I agree, this time is different for me too. I know it's working and am not concerned with the timeline either. Plus, not being hungry!! That's one of the best parts. Having achieved that benefit of this woe is something I don't ever want to lose! Happy for you and your new all time low!
Went to see Spy, with Melissa McCarthy, this evening with my son and one of my sister's. She was asking me about this woe and wanting to give it a try! Her husband will hopefully be getting on board too! I'm so happy that I've been able to influence my family. I've promised to help them all too.0 -
@Sk8Kate You are not alone! I've had a pretty dismal April and May, too. Since the last week in March I've lost 2.4 lbs. Not great. But yes, better than nothing. I haven't lost anything in measurement nor are my clothes hanging more loosely. I get frustrated and discouraged too, but when it gets down to it, there's no recourse unless I throw in the towel and gain weight like there's no tomorrow. I have to stick with this, and I will. It is definitely hard to read of others' successes and have none myself. I'm genuinely thrilled for those who see pounds melt away. It's easy for some, but I know others, esp on this thread, have struggled long and hard for every loss. It gives me hope that it will one day happen to me/you too, even if it takes longer than most people. I know you feel the same way, because you're sticking with it too. As much as I hate it, this is apparently time for the grunt work of getting my body to the place where it will finally let go of the accumulated fat. There's not much pay-off now, but I have hope that it's ahead. I mean, really---doesn't it just have to eventually respond to the deficit of carbs and calories? Good luck to you and everybody else who's in the back of the weigh- loss pack. We'll eventually have our day.0
-
Thanks everybody. Throw in menopausal mood swings & a bad day turns into a really bad day. I know age, menopause, & the Hashimoto's makes it tougher sometimes, but I have far less problems than some on here. So I just need to suck it up & carry on. And my health is definitely improving so that's what I'm going to concentrate on instead of the scale for awhile.0
-
I may be the youngest one on this feed at 31 but being the fact my body thinks it's time for menopause I thought this may be a good community for me to be in..... my weight loss fluctuates. My starting weight was 224 I've been as low as 207, right now I'm 218. One year ago I was 180. Two years ago I was 140. It's completely frustrating! The keto calucator tells me to eat 1750 calories and i aim for 80% fat, 15% protein, 5% carbs. When I'm doing keto properly I find hitting that calorie mark impossible. I'm not hungry and don't want to eat more than 800 calories....I think it holds me back not eating enough. Right now I'm trying to eat a lot more fat, very few carbs, and not focus on calories. It's so hard to not feel like I'm making progress..... I know some of you understand that!!0
-
Welcome ! You will get a lot of support here. I have found so far that this is all experimentation for me. I've learned some points that work for me. We can help with almost any topic, so ask away.0
-
Welcome @winninglosing43 If you struggle, you're welcome here. I was set at <15g carbs, around 110g fat and around 70g protein per day and truly struggled to lose. I'm allowing more carbs on days where that's needed and seem to be losing more steadily now. I don't *aim* for higher carbs, but I don't watch every gram to stay under 15 any more either. My carb grams over the past 2 weeks have been 27, 34, 25, 38, 33, 31, 12, 53, 20, 8, 21, 21, 52, 42 and I seem to be doing a little better overall. I'm also taking a daily valerian tablet in an attempt to keep cortisol levels down. There's a whole separate thread about that if you feel in the mood to find and read it.
David's still home today so I don't want to take the time on here to respond to everyone (please forgive me). He goes back to work tomorrow and doesn't have a day off until 12 days' time. I have a *lot* to catch up on in real life and on the computer
I was up 400 grams (.8 lb) today but overall in the past 2 weeks have still lost 500 grams (1 lb) and live in hope this 400g will go away quickly. We shall see LOL0 -
Hi ladies. Another late evening, but had quick question. Going for Botox consult tomorrow. Daughter convinced me it's alright to do something for myself & I must confess have been thinking about it for awhile. The high fat is simply not plumping my wrinkles (crows feet). Anybody here tried this? Does it work? & how much does it hurt (bit of a baby about needles). IS it too selfish/self absorbed?0
-
@wheatlessgirl66, you are a trooper and will get your reward! Hugs to you!
@Sk8Kate, good luck with the Botox consult! Just remember, it's not a filler, it creates paralysis in the muscles where injected so you are unable to use them to reveal the wrinkles, but won't do much for what you may have. I don't see a problem with trying it though. Good for you!
@GrannyMayOz! The honeymoon is over. So glad David has recovered so well! I'm sure the next twelve days of work will be exhausting for him! Hope you're able to catch up with things quickly! Still hoping for some pictures of the fun/creative things you have been working on!
Hearing the usual excuses from the family! Oh well, was a nice thought anyway. They have to be the ones to decide. I will keep on keepin on in my LCHF world!

Hi Karlotta and everyone. Indeed the honeymoon is over, but he gave me a lovely massage today before he went off to work. We bought a massage table really cheaply on eBay a few years ago and David did a brief, one-day course on massage, but he's a natural anyway. I'm very fortunate. We love our lifestyle where we have the mornings and early afternoons together before he goes to work.
It's 8pm as I write this and he's not due home until 1am. Plenty of time for me to get up to mischief while he's away Though today most of that 'mischief' has been housework so far, including breaking the toilet roll holder. I only cleaned it, truly!!!
David is getting really close to finishing his craft item so he wants me to wait until I photograph it to share. Mine has a long way to go, so I'll take a photo of wherever I'm up to when I do his, so be patient. My latest manicure was a toy train because we went to the miniature train show last weekend so here's that to tide you over
I understand about your family stalling. I guess they're going through the mental antics of what it means to give up their current lifestyle, treats and emotional crutches, and that will take them various lengths of time before they're ready. You're a wonderful example for them to look to though.
@Kate That's not a question I have an opinion on, you must do as you desire after gathering all the evidence. I'm sorry I can't be of help, but I support whatever you decide.0
