Bought a pair of skinny jeans for the first time in.... ever and have had quite a few compliments at work today about how slim my legs are. Feeling super skinny today, although I still have a few kgs to go to my target weight.0

New Starbucks bold Anniversary Blend out !!!
I'm in my happy place
Oh and my NSV - yesterday I wore a Peyton Manning Jersey to work. It was a 4X and was HUGE on me. Today I'm wearing another football jersey to work and it is a 2X and while not huge on me, it still fits with a little room for breathing!

I am wearing my Manning jersey today and blue jeans that I haven't been able to wear since last December (granted I was pregnant BUT my son is only 7 weeks old so I am at least not much bigger than I was before I got pregnant so that is a NSV!! LOL0 -
Down to size 16 jeans without any "muffin top"!
@mrron2u and @clayswife13, Denver is my second favorite team! Love Peyton Manning (even though we beat him in the Super Bowl when he was with Indianapolis, just sayin, lol!))! Props on the smaller sizes!0 -
@Karlottap I am a huge Peyton Manning fan!! (Actually named my son Peyton LOL). I have to say I do like Drew Brees and am following Benjamin Watson on Facebook (he is very inspirational in the things he shares, don't know how well he plays the game because I only found him on Facebook during the off season and really didn't pay attention to him before that).0

@clayswife13, Peyton is one of the really good guys. Of course he comes from good "stock" since his dad, Archie Manning, was quarterback for the New Orleans Saints when I was a kid! Will look in to what you read on Watson! I love how some of these guys create inspirational platforms that help others! Have a great day!0

Awwww darn, I finished reading the thread. Now to find some NSVs of my own.
Congratulations to all.0 -
My supervisor, a married man who is probably 10-15 years older than me and with whom I have had my discussions about low-carbing, FINALLY remarked spontaneously about how I've lost a ton of weight. I started working here almost 3 months before I started this WOE, so he has seen me throughout this whole journey. I know people at work are always hesitant to remark on other people's bodies, especially in a person of the opposite sex, so that was HUGE for me. I'm sure I beamed and then said, "Thank you!"
Also, one of my aunts started a private Facebook group for our family, and I posted a before/after pic there today. Of course there are the usual, "Great job, you look great," kind of comments, but my cousin pointed out that I look happier in the after photos, and I realized that--even though my life is full of the same level of stress as before--I AM happier now. I have more energy, my mood is better, I am more optimistic.... I just FEEL BETTER in every way possible!
Now if only my feet would stop hurting.....0 -
I dropped a clamp behind a machine at work today.
I didn't have to go get a broom to get it back. I just
walked behind the machine, bent over and picked it up.
Oh, the little things....

Well done everyone. I've been reading these over the past couple of days and they have really inspired me to keep going (its been one of those weeks). I've been doing this WOE for 27 days now and my NSV are:
My daughter (she is 6) likes to stick her hands up my shirt and wobble my belly if she is sad, it instantly cheers her up - she asked me the other day where my belly had gone.
27 days of no binge eating, late night munchies only once a week (i normally fast from dinner to lunch time) and my munchies are a cheese toastie with bacon as the bread - nom - i actually feel in control of my hunger/eating0 -

This is great and reminds me of one of my own biggest NSV's. I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, the knob that controls the thermostat broke a few years ago, but apparently replacing it requires replacing the entire front plate and is a $700+ ordeal, which seems ridiculous to me and I refuse to pay for that. But a mechanic showed me where I could reach down under the dash on the drivers side and find the lever to change from heat to cold myself. The first couple years after this happened when I was still 350 pounds or more, I couldn't reach it, too fat. So in the winter I just bundled up and pretended the car didn't have heat available. Now that I've lost all the weight that I have so far, I can easily bend down while sitting in the drivers seat and adjust it, it takes like 3 seconds, so I get to have heat again in my car this winter!0 -
Hey folks! Please forgive me, but what is NSV?0

I am sure you will be successful in this journey! You are well on your way.0 -
Well done, my friends!
Today, I went bicycling for the sake of exercise and not just to travel to a particular place. My rear is killing me and it was a terribly short ride, but I did it and I'm going to do it again tomorrow. And now, chicken broth and some yoga, because my rear is killing me!!! lol0 -

Took all 3 kids to an outdoor festival by myself. They're 14 months, 4 and 6. Don't think I had the stamina or strength to carry and chase the little guy while helping the two girls in that scenario before I started down this path.
Stumbled on a pair of my black knit workout pants in my husband's clothing drawer. They used to fit perfectly. And now, even with the elastic wonders of knit, they're baggy. Yay!0 -

Let your sore bum be a reminder of your dedication and new healthy life. Maybe it'll help.0 -
I just got back from my 1/4 mile daily walk wearing shorts. The shadow of my legs while distorted due to the light angle looked like bean poles/skinny. A year ago I had to rest several times and now I can even come back up the steep hill walking fast non stop. Dropping all grain has done so much to improve my health.0

So very happy for you!
The progress you have made is awesome!

Last night hubby made a comment about how he has never been able to wrap his arm around me and feel my hip bone before. As in really truly never. He likes it.0

I have successfully tracked my diary of foods for 7 days so far again now. Today makes day 8, but is as of yet incomplete.0

Was trying on outfits in my cupboard last night as I have a wedding to go to on Friday and wanted to see what would fit now. All possibilities are a little too big now so I will have to go shopping (oh dear how will I ever cope ) For a laugh I decided to try on the skirt of my wedding dress and it fits, not only fits but is a little loose. Was at my lowest weight ever at my wedding 10 years ago and haven't reached that weight again yet but clearly my body shape has changed. Went dancing into the lounge with it on much to the amusement of my husband.0

I went to the Halloween candy aisle today to see if the kind my son wants was there (It's not even October yet, damn you, stores!). Then I wandered off to get my cheese. Walked past that damnable front facing ice cream freezer. Stopped and stared for several long seconds. Went on my way with just my cheese to the checkout. I was shopping hungry, too.0

More like I thought about how much I'd hate myself tomorrow if I had to go through days 4-6 of carb flu again so soon!
