Just did measurements. The original ones were when starting a 6-month Transformer DietBet

Was that diet more than meets the eye?

    I'm sorry... I'm a dork.

Went to my husbands end of year function on Saturday, for the first time in a few years I didn't stress about being the "fat wife" (not that my husband ever made me feel that way I just always felt inferior to some of the other skinny wives) Felt sexy and slim and got many complements on my weight loss from people who haven't seen me since last year and I was also very pleased with myself over my food choices. I had lovely steak medallions with grilled eggplant and mozzarella (gave the potato wedges that came with it to my husband) was not tempted by dessert and munched happily on some blue cheese from the cheese platter instead. Think I am going to be able to handle Christmas this year without going off plan. :)

One of my 6-year-olds loves Transformers so that did make me chuckle. :)

Was looking for a winter jacket. I'm looking on the Large section. My grandaughter picks out a style for me and I try it on. When I get home, after a closer look, I found it was actually a medium. I really can't believe it fits.

Most of my Extra Large sizes are getting to big. Wow! To think I was wearing size 24/22W not too long ago! I'm still scared to try on a large because I don't want a negative try out. I am just accepting it as slow as possible. :-)

Traded in some jackets at a consignment shop for a new pair of jeans (noticed the one holdout pair I've got left is about to wear through in spots).

The new jeans are the same size but they are tailored to my body shape, which I am now delighted to display! My husband thought they looked fantastic, so now I know all jeans I buy will be form-fit!

The NSV of this is that I once would have run from jeans that advertised they were for women who are "ample in the thigh" - but now that I'm feeling far more slender than I ever have, I'm able to see that's a feature, not a bug!

I've been LCHF for just over a month. I get tempted and have had a few slip-ups, but today was a proud moment. There is a grocery store close to work that has been convenient for a stop when I forget something. I used to go in for a frozen meal for lunch and leave with a frozen meal, a bottled coffee drink, a pack of eclairs, cookies for my "students" and more...you get the picture. Today I forgot my water jug and was slightly hungry after my BPC. I left with a 3 liters of water, a pack of hard salami and a pack of Havarti slices. o:)

    Great work!!

That ability to just walk past the junk is a super power!

I needed to wear jeans to work today, so yesterday I went to the local store to pick up a non-ripped pair that actually fits. I tried on a few size six's, and a few size eights. They all fit fine (except a pair with a funky zipper), but they had a really low waist that was a bit loose. The one size eight was the only pair that had a high waist. They felt loose, but not too bad, and I really needed a pair, so I grabbed them. When I got home, I looked at the label, and to my surprise, they were actually... size six. So apparently I am getting to the stage where some size 6 pants are getting a bit too big. On another note, I shaved 30 seconds off my two-mile run time and added 5 sit-ups in the last two weeks. That's what I call a good start.

Someone who hasn't seen me since February of 2014 had to do a double take when they saw me today in the supermarket! They couldn't believe how much weight I have lost. Makes you feel good.

Ok this is somewhat embarrassing but here it goes.....

I have had toenail fungus since about 15 years old, I am 34. I have always heard that fungus feed off sugar. So since I started this WOE I started a home remedy for my nails and it's been a month and they are getting better. God willing if I keep up this WOE by next summer I will finally be able to get a pedicure!

I think it's both that are helping, not eating sugar (well not like before) and the home remedy.

I'm finally below 170lbs, so my doctor and dietitian upped my calories from 1,003 max and 700-800 suggested to 1,250 max and 1,111 suggested. My weight loss will slow, but it'll keep going. The starvation symptoms should begin easing soon, although it'll take a year or more for my hair to come back.

I can also get rid of my in-home heart monitor. For over a year, I've been hooked to an EKG when I'm at home and a Holter monitor when I'm not. The EKG goes away, although the Holter will stay for a few more months when I'm exercising or deployed. I'm down to 1 cardiac FMRI a year instead of every 3 months and lab work to every 3 months instead of weekly.

I'm gonna make it... providing I don't get hit my a bus or fall off the roof while cleaning the gutters!

@moonius, I'm experiencing the double takes now too! It does feel good!!

@ vazquezmom7, wonderful testimony to more of the benefits of this woe! This adds to the motivation to maintain it too!

    Those are really great NSVs!!

I'm wearing the belt I wore when I was 20 - over half a life time ago. Another few weeks and I'll be able to move in another hole. :)

I'm also surprised by how sharp my inner knee bones and hip bones are. I don't remember them being pointy. LOL

Every year I bake 20-35 pumpkin pies. Tonight was the pumpkin fest - turning the first round of pumpkins into mush.

I lugged the heavy bowl of mush out to the garage to keep it chilly overnight, but before I lugged it out I weighed it. It weighed 15.3 lbs - but felt like it weighed a ton. In reality, it weighed 3 pounds less than I have lost in the last 7 weeks.

Nice reality check (both visual and physical), since I'd been feeling like the loss has been relatively small, so far.

I am starting to get strangers (men) opening the doors for me, smiling and saying hello. I am even having women walk by and say hello without turned down eyes. I bought a size large dress (knit) last week and when I changing out of my Church clothes today, I thought oh why not!----It fit me! Not even tight in the belly area! I realize its a knit, but straight knits are not to forgiving most of the time! I am in love with the picture I saw in the mirror. happy dance!

You have had a great journey. Most people should take a double take! Congrats

My husband posted a picture of me and him that he took at his work end of year function on Facebook and made it his profile picture and I didn't hate it and make him take it down. In fact I quite liked it.

As I was walking in from the parking lot the other day, a neighbor called out to me asking if I was getting ready for the catwalk! Wowza! Made my day. Feels good to be noticed again. Wasn't even dressed up!

The cashier at my local Aldi grocery store called me "Sir" instead of the usual "Mate". LOL

Yesterday I was wearing pants that were cutting into my waist 7 weeks ago. I had been enjoying how loose they felt - and pulled them off without unfastening them last night :)
