Another small NSV today! The family went to yogurty's this afternoon and it wasn't even hard to not have any. I just had a Coke Zero while they all enjoyed their excessively candy topped frozen yogurt... It's all about the little victories right now!12

Husband letting me begrudgingly know that a dude was checking me out while I was getting our daughter out of the car yesterday. It's been a long time!20

My NSV today is that I had a really stressy, rubbish day and did not five head first into a vat of baked goods. I'm actually trying to deal with issues instead of burying them under food.17

My NSV for today is technically my mom's but I want to share it with all of you because I think you'll appreciate it. She had her annual check up a couple of weeks ago with blood work. Well...the doctor put her on metformin! So when I heard that I said she had to quit buying all the cookies, candy, pastry type crap and start eating more like me! Yes, I've been preaching low carb to her but she hasn't been willing to give up her sweets and breads...until now. We are attending a country music festival this weekend and I have been eating fairly off-plan. Yesterday I brought her a cookie from the buffet line and a little while after she ate it she commented that she can tell she's cut back on eating sweets because that cookie tasted really sweet to her.10

NSV! 10,000 steps on my fitbit yesterday.14

My NSV: done with the low-iodine diet, and have returned to my logging of foods on Keto.8

So last night after I cleaned up the scale I got at a thrift store, I hopped in the shower. Upon getting out, the bf rushed me, like..get in here, let me show you this! C'mon, you NEED TO SEE THIS! I had a gallon of vinegar and a liter of cheap dish soap for weeds/poison Ivy. He puts the vinegar on the scale, like, nine pounds, then he balances the soap on top....12.5 pounds. He hands them to me and tells me the next time I complain about my fat, STRONG arms, or my GORGEOUS legs, I should carry these around for awhile, so I can get a realistic grasp on what I've accomplished. I was a bit amazed by the fact that not long ago,my joints were carrying this much extra weight! NSV!!
And I have a great bf...21 -

Total NSV: I am apparently fully "indoctrinated" to this WOE. Even my "cheat meal" yesterday ended up low carb...
Congrats! I'm finding the same thing. I actually managed to survive my two kids' back to back birthdays while staying within my macros. While my daughter indulged in a cookie sundae I had a cold brew coffee with cream. I ordered it with sugar-free syrup, which I hated so ended up just sitting and talking comfortably with the fam while they slurped up huge services of ice cream concoctions. It surely wasn't me being a martyr because I believe in celebrations. I really and truly didn't want an ice cream sundae (it's a topsy turvy world!).
Keto style eating has really cut back on my taste for sweets. Next test will be whether or not I can withstand the smell of Chinese food.

NSV today, I have a scrub jacket I wear for getting called in to work (I'm an MRI tech). I haven't gotten called in since before I started this journey. It's always been a bit snug, but it's a stretchy material so it has worked for me. Today, I get called in and when I start to put it an and I stop and am like, wait, how is this going to fit? I put it on and it's actually loose in the stomach area! Extra material around my waist (still a little pulled in the bust, but I'm going to consider that a win XD). I got so excited that I don't even mind being called into work when I was about to go grab a Caesar salad with a friend.10

I FORGOT to eat lunch today!!! I thought those skinny b!tches that "claim" to forget to eat were just lying (and they may be), but I am just so dang satisfied with this WOE. It is so nice!!!! I was out running errands and happened to look at the clock and couldn't believe it was 2:00!14

I went into a vape shop I haven't been in for several months yesterday. The sales associate commented (totally unsolicited!) on my obvious weight loss, and we talked about diets and exercise regimens for a bit. It was really, really good to have an almost-stranger notice and recognize my efforts.
Also, I went to the gym in a hot pink top on Thursday. Not something I'd previously worn out of the house, because the color is unforgiving and shows every roll. I actually looked pretty darned good in it, too.15 -
Every morning I go out and sit on my steps with my first cup of coffee and enjoy the (not always so quiet) calmness of pre dawn. This morning I couldn't figure o why my butt hurt then I realized it's my bones on the cement! I am finally starting to lose some of that cushion!! Haha!16

Bumping this thread!2

Got to fasten my bra on tighter hooks today! Considering I was using a bra extender at the beginning of this year, I am thrilled!14

Waist size is down about 3/4 inch.12

My 21 year old son has been watching me get healthier and slimmer. So he has given up soda and started eating a paleo diet 4 months ago. He bragged to me today about the 10 pounds he lost. Score one for leading by example...19

My shirt billowed! I am wearing a cute tank today. It is the kind that is supposed to me a looser fit. Not long ago it was kind of a tight fit but it fit so I wore it. I noticed not long into keto it getting looser. Today it actually billowed in the breeze. OMG!!!!13

Today, I was able to put my belt behind another loop.
It is a belt without holes... it just cinches and tightens against itself, so it is adjustable as small as I could need it to be. It wraps back around me for the end to sit underneath one of the loops in the back of my pants. It isn't easy to see, so I put my finger on the end of the belt for the photo.18 -
I've been doing lchf for less than a month, and haven't lost much actual weight, but the changes are remarkable. I have much more energy. I don't feel "down" as much. I have more zest for life. I feel smaller, tighter, less puffy or inflammed. My digestion is generally better, but I'm still working to find the ideal meal plan. I don't obsess over when I will eat next and I don't constantly feel the need to snack. I don't get as hungry, and I fill up faster. I'm sleeling deeper (downside is it's really hard to wake up now). I swear I look better overall. It's pretty great, and honestly surprising.12

Isn't that crazy? I have a clavicle. Just holding my breath til I have hip bones again!7 -
I've always said that if I ever find my belly button again is get it pierced! I know it's there, it's just over shadowed by my muffin top! Lol, the day will come!5

This morning I put on an active wear tank top and it fits! Three weeks ago it was quite snug and unforgiving.10

I just put on a pair of shorts that I haven't been able to get on all summer!!!
I mean the button wouldn't reach the other side by like 4in!!!

My spring cleaning is going to be a major wardrobe pruning with the left-overs donated or consigned to the next person who will appreciate them. I call it retail therapy with a mission!
Yep.... finding the Anne Klein, Gucci, Prada, etc in tiny sizes at the resale thrift store, and they fit! My clothes closet is SERIOUSLY overstuffed, just because I can find awesome clothes for very inexpensive prices that most people can't fit into, BWAHAHAHAH!
Also not borrowing my husband's 32" jeans anymore.... (when I was at my heaviest - that was a wake up call)4 -
I started out at over 300 lbs and I'm only 9 weeks in... I haven't lost a ton of weight, but I have PCOS and an old SI joint injury, and I'm already starting to see huge improvements to my quality of life after losing just over 14 lbs eating Keto-style...
I'm WALKING without my SI joint injury flaring up!! It's been SIX YEARS since I've been able to do any kind of regular exercise... I'm getting my mobility back, people... Last week I set my fitbit goal to 1500 steps (10-15 min daily walk) and made my goal 6 out of 7 days. This week I'm up to 2000 steps. I could weep, this makes me so happy!!
I'm SLEEPING normally for the first time since puberty!! I'm 40, so that's 27 years of insomnia... long, exhausting, irritable years. I tried EVERYTHING (or so I thought!!) and just couldn't fall asleep on my own... Now I'm sleepy by 10:30 PM, I fall asleep right away, and sleep soundly till around 7:30-8:30 AM. I'm waking up feeling refreshed and energized instead of groggy and foggy headed. I no longer crave sleeping in...17 -
I intentionally left the house in a tank top today, for the first time, and felt confident.16
