My NSV is....I ran 8 miles today...I had been stuck at 5 miles for a month or so but I pushed myself and ended up with 8 miles ...(over joyed )20

I have lost 51% of my total goal as of this morning.... so far I've gone from a 3X to XL. First time I've purchased anything in a store not specialized in plus size clothing in 11 years.29

These are great.2

When I bought these pants they were sausage-tight. I fit in, but had a muffin top from heck, and they hugged... everything (but 'cmon, $15 for a brand new pair of Calvin Klein pants? Still worth it). Well, as of today, they're lose. I can feel the fabric move around my thighs instead of being stretched to the breaking point on top of them. Since I am not losing any scale weight, I am counting this as a win, because hey, I feel like I am moving in the right direction in size.19

When I put on my work uniform today I noticed I had to do my belt up one notch tighter13
-
I lost half an inch off my waist and an inch off my hips in the last two weeks. Woohoo!11
-
Was able to fit into my 2 sizes smaller dress pants yesterday and two people in the last 24 hours have told me "Man, you're getting skinny girl!"13

The scale has been bouncing up and down lately, but I can now put my wedding ring on any finger of either hand. Since I have already had my wedding ring sized once, this is a pretty big deal to me (also considering that when I started this journey, I couldn't even get my wedding ring off my ring finger).13

I bought a really nice pair of jeans about 5+ years ago. One of those "magical" pair of jeans where it fits in the fitting room and then when you get home and try to wear it a week later it feels like it shrunk by 5 sizes; not just a little tighter but you are really wondering how you fit into it at the store. Well I forgot I had those pants still in my closet. I wore them for the very first, er, second time the other day with a little room to spare. My new favorite pair of jeans and actually the only pair of jeans I have right now that fit me well.
Another sign that I'm losing weight though I wouldn't call it a "victory" because I hate it: My bras keep unfastening while I'm just sitting down at my work desk. I'll stand up and think, "Well the girls want to come out to play again." My boobs have either shrunk or the measurement around my back has shrunk. Also, the bras that do remain fastened have some extra space in the cups :-(
Trying to figure out how to puncture a new hole in your belt because that's now too big as well. Wearing a belt is basically useless as it doesn't keep your pants from sagging. The bottom of all your work pants are getting ruined as they are dragging across the ground. Even more so than before, you REALLY despise parking lot puddles of water caused by the rain.
I don't think my weight loss looks very noticeable but I am getting a lot of comments about it.12 -
I put on a pair of shorts that have been in my closet for a while...they are probably 20 years old and I haven't worn them in probably the last 15...they fit...and they have a velcro closure (surf shorts), so it's not like you can squeeze into them, they actually fit nice and don't muffin top...though my booty is kind of cheeky at the bottom...which my husband likes...still not sure if I would wear them in public except perhaps the beach, but THEY FIT!!!11

Today was a coworkers 60th birthday. Not only did I politely turn down the cake but I also legitimately DID NOT WANT IT. I have never not wanted to eat the cake. In the past I may have even snuck a second piece. I felt great all day long because of it.18

I love NSVs! I had 2 small ones this week: towel doesn't gap when wrapped around me and moved to 2nd row of eyes, on sports bra instead of third!15

Kept up and completed an intense 1 hr weightlifting/kickbox class! It was very challenging but I did it!14

I can wear my wedding ring again!!!11

Just wait too it becomes too big and goes back into drawer again.2 -
Walking to my first meeting of the day I had to climb a pretty significant hill. Arrived at meeting not terribly winded and not terribly sweaty. Lol. I remember when I wouldnt have been able to do any of that!11

To me, this is the type of NSV I like the best. Not feeling physically limited is so freeing. The frustration of not doing something because you don't think you will make it or if you do, you will be winded and sweaty totally sucks especially at places like work or special events like weddings. Being able to participate in life is great.9 -

My husband and I were helping a lady change her tire by the side of the road this weekend and mine fell right off my finger and landed on the asphalt. Whoops.....4 -

When I had mine re-sized, I had washed my hands and was shaking the water off my hands over the sink and caught my ring on the second bounce in the sink - went out that afternoon and had it sized.
For another NSV, I started with my Fitbit on the 4th notch in the band, went to the 5th notch several months ago, and I noticed this morning that (at the 5th notch), it was sliding down my wrist! Almost time for the 6th notch now...7 -
I put a belt on this morning...moved down a notch...only one more to go!7

Excellent NSV! I love when that happens.
I ended up getting one of those belts that don't have notches (Bison Design brand) for daily wear. The only time I wear a belt with notches now is for formal dress. I was always half-way between notches for sooo long, so getting something that just tightens to any length just makes sense.
Of those that just tighten, I no longer wear the first because it wraps all the way around to my butt crack. I thought about cutting it, but just decided to buy a new shorter belt instead. I figured the end might become frayed anyway. When I went to the store for that, I had to ask for help finding that style of belt in a small enough length - finding clothes that fit are a bit of a challenge now, but one that I am happy about! Just because most Americans are bigger around than me doesn't mean I need to be that way.9 -
Sitting here at work doing some paperwork. 330 slump kicks in with a vengeance. I have carbs and calories to spare and though "I'll get some chips from the machine." Instead I remembered I had some pre-packaged nut mix in the drawer and ate one of them. Probably not much different calorie wise than chips, but carbs are much lower and that will hold me until I get home!10

That's an awesome NSV!

Wonderful!!! I am very impatient to be able to do the same.
My NSV is although I have only lost 5 pounds, my jeans are literally falling off me. I think I'm going to start taking measurements.0 -
I had to take off my ring because it kept flying off AND I can do up my fitbit using the SMALLEST hole!3
-
My clothing is getting very loose and I am thinking I will retire the pants I am wearing in two weeks, right along with the rest of my size 6-8 work pants.5
-
Cleaning out my closet, tried on some pants I couldn't zip up before the holidays. Today, I can now comfortably fit into pants I wore 10 years ago, and I was 10 lbs. lighter than I am now. I know my loss has been slower this time, but my body is going through more changes. I'll take these changes over the higher loses.4

My leggings/workout pants have gotten baggy. I didn't even know that was a thing since they're all spandex/stretchy. Anyone else against buying new clothes until you're where you want to be?3

I waited until I was where I wanted to be before buying new clothes, but I did get made fun of at work for wearing pants that made me look like a homeless man.
That said, I 100% believe in getting rid of the clothes that are too big to make it a real inconvenience to put on weight again. I think holding on to those clothes makes it too easy to gradually slide back up to that size again. If your loosest clothes start getting tight, and you don't have those old clothes to fall back on, you have more motivation to address it before you regress too far.5 -
