    eing around too.

Ed...are those clothes folded and put away? Funny that we all 3 seem to have 'laundry issues'. So far I'm caught up...folding and putting away has been most of my activity these past 3 weeks. And letting the cat in and out. :)
They are folded and put away, though that almost didn't happen today. While my frozen chili was warming up slowly, I did finally get that done. They were washed Sunday!
    Hi Ed
We tend to put the frozen items in the refrigerator to defrost, Items such as meat portions or the Pea Soup come to mind.

Last night my brother warned me not to use the pea soup in the refrigerator as ha had left it out on the counter overnight and it did not sit well when he used some of it the next day, I do appreciate the warning as he has a cast iron stomach and if it bothered him what would it have done to me ?

Looking at my laundry basket it is about 1/2 full so no rush to do laundry for a few more days, maybe Saturday or Sunday, Sunday while my brother runs to the ShopRite on his Sunday grocery run.

FWIW the news broadcast last night said some items would be going up in price. Surprise, Surprise, Not.

    Have a Nice Day

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! 2C/36F with an expected high of 13C/54F and 0% chance of precipitation.

I went nowhere yesterday but today sounds like a good day to go shopping.

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and no money was found. The Temperature out the door was 33 degrees. However I suspect that may not have been accurate as the snow I tested was crunchy. Before I forget, Yesterday I could see Deer tracks in the snow going across the front yard and today I could see them in the left over snow in a Playground I passed while walking.

    Hi Ed
You and my Brother with Wednesday Shopping. He did bring home the on Sale Ham, He brought home the on Sale Ham, and two of the on sale Jimmy Dean Bacon. One for each of us, in the next few days I will bake the bacon off to be portioned into some frozen and some to be used, I do feel a BLT on Rye in my future. The Ham will be going into the freezer since we just defrosted a Corned Beef and he wants to defrost and slice up the Homemade Pastrami that is in the freezer, that way we can set up the slicer and do both at the same time and portion them out to be frozen after being Vacuum Sealed. That will save one setup and cleaning of the slicer.

There were also a couple of Snow Flurries yesterday afternoon.

    Good Morning..
A quick hello before I head to the shower. Today is meet Ortho Doc and get his opinion on my healing right, broken leg. I DO NOT WANT A CAST....maybe I should write that on my leg???? LOL!

Looks sunny outside. but my weather thingy, (Another annoying Tech Name :) ) says its only 40 degrees. Humm, no sun bathing today..LOL again!

Doesn't surprise me that GA would tax Netflix, etc. THey'd tax the very air we breathe if they could... I was surprised to see that the Gov. was not supportive of the idea. A check + for him.
    Hi Valerie
Maybe they can give You one of those strap on things that have a Boot as part of it, I suppose it depends on which part of the leg is broken. I had to wear one for weeks when I broke a leg bone, I was supposed to wear it 24 hours a day :( Still it was better than a cast.

40 degrees and You do not want to work on Your tan ?

I still think NJ has Georgia beat for taxes, NJ is the worst for taxes in the country, We deserve them since the Morons that vote voted in a Governor that said he was going to raise taxes is elected :(
I may have posted this before however, Give me a break.
    https://newyork.cbslocal.com/2019/02/04/rain-tax-likely-to-become-reality-in-new-jersey/
‘Rain Tax’ Likely To Become Reality In New Jersey
Not much else happening. Cat still snuggling with Ted in the mornings. :) Its really funny.
I need to go outside if just to breathe for awhile..need some fresh air. Will consider that later today.

Again, haven't really investigated all the video's and articles...and then there are the 30 emails in my mail box, and an hour lecture I'd like to watch, etc. I did watch the dog show last night...that was fun...love seeing the dogs all primped and on their best behavior... I know nothing about the ins and outs of judging dogs, but was a bit surprised at the Best In Show winner. I'd have bet money on a couple of the other dogs... :)

    Later...
Maybe Ted is the perfect warmth for the Cat ?

Fresh Air, what's that ? An overrated thing

Most days I have 80+ unread emails, many not important, Things like Amazon pushing things and other vendors I have done business with in the past.

I did not watch the Dog show, we had excerpts on the news and some of them running the various obstacle courses were awe inspiring. I did see the dog that won. That made me thing of the Dogs mounted on a magnetic base that we played with a kids.

    Have a Nice Day

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! 1C/30F with an expected high of 16C/62F and 0% chance of precipitation.

I had sausage patties, pancakes, and scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast. I need to feed the felines and clean up yesterday's food bowls. A nap would be lovely as I didn't sleep all that well and woke up with a headache. I got out yesterday for shopping so shouldn't have to get out today unless I just want to.

    Hello Ed
Interesting, All good foods, I have decided against eating pancakes except in moderation despite that I would love a stack of them from the Diner with a side of Bacon. The Local Diner Breakfasts include Eggs with or without meat, Home Fries and a choice of toast or Pancakes. If I choose the Pancakes they bring out a platter with three large pancakes :(

Cheeses I like with eggs would be Cheddar or American Cheese.

I hope Your headache went away quickly.

Another quick Hello, and Good Morning!
Niece is on her way to my house this morning...She's coming from Marietta (not to be confused with my friend Marietta!! And it gets funnier. Marietta came to GA to get her specialization in Blood Banking. Met D. Cobb.. and the city of Marietta is in Cobb county!)

News...leg is mending, as shown on X-ray...NO CAST or boot needed. Just a repeat x-ray in 3 weeks. Knee x-rays shows no broken anything. Hope I am allowed to go to the gym after that checkup!

Those Deer Roger, are scoping out the good places to stop and munch come spring!!! :)

Ed...I did watch Simon the Cat and I will admit to jumping at the end too!!! About that muscle headed guy...Nobody looks like that..unless you put in hours at the gym. (or has a friend who's really good with PhotoShop) And who wants THAT??? VeGreen has a big, huge even wall decoration...the letters in Protein are made from artificial turf. And at the very end is says something like I get my protein FRESH, not secondhand from a cow. I love that...

    Later...
    Hello Valerie
    Coincidences can be interesting.

That sounds like good news for the leg and knee. Did they offer any reason as to why the knee is bothering You ?

Oh, Oh, I hope You are wrong about the Deer. They are why I can't plant Sunflowers, when I tried them the one year they ate them off at the ground and the few that they missed doing that to did Bloom until the Deer ate the blossoms :(

VeGreen is the Vegan eatery as I recall it ?

Howdy all y'all. It's fantastic Friday! 11C/16F with an expected high of 52C/60F and 70% chance of precipitation.

For some reason, this recipe for VEGAN biscuits and VEGETARIAN sausage gravy calls for vegan "butter" for the biscuits, but then (maybe because the "sausage" isn't vegan anyway?) calls for just butter for the gravy.

While I heartily agree with that particular choice of "sausage" for taste and texture, I believe one could make an actual vegan gravy just about as good with oil and vegan "beef" crumbles, with the addition of some seasoning and spices used in sausage.

I use oil for my gravy anyway. Also, most chefs seem to think a proper roux should be equal parts fat and flour, and this recipe breaks that rule too. Not that I have a problem with that. I break cooking rules all the time! :)
