I'm back home from walking no cents. The Temperature out the door was 63 degrees. The Humidity is down, When I got up and looked out the living room window I could see stars in a nice clear sky and unlike yesterday the sky stayed clear.

    Hi Valerie
Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! 78 with an expected high of 91 and 30% chance of precipitation. If there is any, I expect it won't be snow...

J had thought today was going to be cooler than yesterday but I don't know that 91 is all that much cooler. We have his sister and a cousin visiting but J and I have a pool party. They are going to a flea market and doing some other shopping.

Beans are not in the oven as this one is being done entirely by the hosts, and there will be donations for a charity.

Need to clean up yesterday's cat bowls.
    Good Morning Ed & Valerie
Yesterday was not to bad outdoors. Today on my return home I opened a window in the Dining Room, back of the house. And the Inside door so that I can get fresh air inside from the Screened Front porch.

When I was really Young I thought that they sold Fleas at a Flea Market and wondered what They were used for

I'm sure You will enjoy the pool party.

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! 72 with an expected high of only 78 and 70% chance of precipitation. Since the same forecast says we're currently experiencing a rain shower, I can't say why it doesn't say 100% chance.

On the other hand, it's not actually raining at our house, despite the report saying that it is, so maybe the 70% is accurate for us. :)

I think M and F are leaving today to go back to Kentucky, and if so there will be laundry to accomplish. The party yesterday was nice. M and F went flea marketing (but didn't buy any fleas) and then sight seeing while J and I were at the party.

Need to clean up yesterday's cat bowls and feed today's STARVING cats.

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and one thin dime found. The Temperature out the door was 65 degrees. The Humidity is the same as yesterdays. When I out the door I could see a partly cloudy sky and I could see stars in the clear area of the sky. As I was walking the stars disappeared behind clouds that had moved in. According to the weather forecast the Clouds are remnants of Florence and Rain should be moving in later today through tomorrow with occasional Thunderstorms.

    A Little Humor now:
A software developer, a hardware engineer and a mid-level manager were on their way to a conference center located near the top of a mountain. After the conference, they were driving down the steep mountain road and suddenly the brakes on their car failed. The car careened almost out of control down the road, bouncing off the crash barriers, until it miraculously ground to a halt scraping along the mountainside. The car's occupants, shaken but unhurt, now had a problem: they were stuck halfway down a mountain in a car with no brakes. What were they to do?
The manager said, "Let's have a meeting, propose a Vision, formulate a Mission Statement, define some Goals, and by a process of Continuous Improvement find a solution to the Critical Problems, and we can be on our way."
"No, no," said the hardware engineer. "That will take far too long, and besides, that method has never worked before. I've got my Swiss Army knife with me, and in no time at all I can strip down the car's braking system, isolate the fault, fix it, and we can be on our way."
"Well," said the software developer, "Before we do anything, I think we should push the car back to the top of the mountain and see if it happens again."

Been up for awhile... same old story...laundry, sweeper, etc..its the etc. that keeps one busy, right.
While typing I'm listening to the docuseries, Remedy. Interesting. Had to laugh. The night they talked about the microbiome, and mentioned the microbiome, both internal and external...I have friends that hearing parts of that might send some people I know to drink bleach....'kill your microbiome today, die tomorrow.' Could we call that 'germ warfare?' (my comment not theirs). Lots of talk about medicinal mushrooms, (no not the 'funny ones'), and foods, etc. Its interesting. I have eaten, and some I regularly eat, cuz they're tasty! My fav. was ones in MO we searched for in the spring... morels! Look like little christmas trees made from a sponge! Hi
I'm back home from walking and no cents found. The Temperature out the door was 75 degrees 10 degrees warmer than yesterday. When I left the house it was dry outside which is why I decided to go walking. About 30 minutes into the walk I took shelter under a tree while I struggled with the rain Poncho which was giving me problems due to the breeze. I ended up turning for home at that point and the rain became moderately heavy :(
According to the weather forecast the remnants of Florence AKA Leftovers according to the weather forecast will become worse as the day progresses with 1 to 2 inches of rain.

Yesterday was a day of good and bad news. The good, the scale is treating me OK. The weather was not too bad and I ordered 5 NS gift cards from CostCo where they are on sale at $59.95 for $100 face Value, Thank You Irene for the heads up.
The Bad happened when my Brother went to dry a load of clothes and all the dryer did was give off a loud AC Hum and not spin. The Most likely candidate is that the motor has seized, less likely would be a bad bearing in a Pulley or a belt tensioning pulley, since I was fine when I dried my last load the other day... :(
A new dryer is likely in the near future since neither of us wants to use a laundromat dryer.

Thanks for the chuckle with the image
yesterday we hit 100% with light rain in the afternoon, Today another 100% rain day with the leftovers from Florence, Oh well. Highs around 80 if the weatherman is to be believed from this mornings weather report.
Worlds largest deliverable pizza. How they make it, and deliver it.
Once I watch it my questions will likely be answered, Why ? How do You lift it intact and maybe how many $$
It does look good OTOH, I wonder if it is a regular Pizza Oven or a special one
Making elegant braised lamb shanks. Sounds tasty.
Nothing I would eat since I do not eat lamb nor seafood, Possibly I am deprived, OTOH There are enough tasty options to eat.
$2 curry vs. $75 curry. I'll shoot for somewhere on the lower end of that particular scale...
Same thing as above, I do not recall ever having a curry. I am somewhat interested in trying something from a Halal Eatery that also has a shelf of foods to sell since it is nearby. If You have had anything from a Halal eatery, keeping in mind I do not like Hot AKA spicy foods, any suggestions on what to try. I gather the meats for example are treated similarly to Kosher Meats.
The secret to a perfect pie crust?
I have a recollection that one secret ? is to not overwork it and to use cold Butter not room temperature. The easiest is to find one that You like in the refrigerator section at the Grocery Store
Tonight's hash of steak and potatoes with scrambled egg and sourdough toast.
That looked pretty good overall, I think I would have toasted the bread a bit more as I like my toast nearly burnt. I see someone took the easy way with the plate for the toast, I tend to use disposable too. I also reuse the Containers from Chinese Takeout and NS, Call me cheap
I would have likely had more eggs and a taste of the potatoes as the Carbs AKA Starchy foods make me retain water and feel overly warm.

The last Ham and Cheese Omelets I had I put the Home Fries in a plastic take out container and my brother used them with his breakfast the next day. There was enough carbs in the Rye or Whole Wheat toast for me. I passed them on since I hate waste.

    Have a Good Day

    Hi Valerie
I see Morels used on cooking shows and I would not pay that much for any fungus

Yesterday my brother said I need to pick up the apple that fell off of the tree and see how it tastes. That is the first one since they were planted  He did not realize that the protective anti deer cage was loose against the fence he thought it was secured hence asking me to get it. Something had damaged it in two spots and teeny tiny ants were all over it. I used the knife we keep in the garden to cut off the damage and that got rid of the ants. It was pretty tasty too. Now if next year we get more than one

Need to feed the cats and also get yesterday's cat bowls cleaned up. I think I have one little bit of folded towels left to put away because they go to the hall bathroom and it wasn't available at the time I was folding the towels so I haven't delivered that bit yet.

Might get out to Kroger to see if they have any more of J's favorite Mt. Dew since they had it 3 for $10 this week (through today) and I cleared the shelf yesterday. If they have put some more up, I'll get some more while it's at that price. The price just doesn't get better on that so I might as well stock up while it's on that sale if I can.

Oliver had fun knocking some old dead plant pots over this morning and then tried to pounce on my hand when I was cleaning it up. He's definitely ALL KITTEN.

Would you buy $140 dog food? I wouldn't.
