I got it all in, except a quick trip to Publix. Could probably have done that too...but didn't!
Got my tasty Split Pea with barley and potato soup. Bought some to bring home too. I said to the gal over straightening the 'to go' containers...just offhand said I loved the pea soup. She looked at me and said 'So you're the one'...Me: so nobody likes it but me?? Mmmhuh she said! LOL! I have 'plans' for this soup. Soup today, sauce tomorrow'!! I think a few pulses in the processor, or a really short blitz in the blender, and it would be a great sauce over vegetables, or rice, or baked potato....yep! And some will get frozen in one cup single servings, or maybe instead of all those little baggies...freeze it in a large muffin tin??? Then transfer to ONE baggie. huh??

Hi Ed,
Loved the video's! Grandpa cooks!!! Interesting way to make egg rolls. And I never have eaten butter chicken, but was always curious. Now I know! Wowza butter, cream, oil, etc. never mind the chicken!
Not sure what's on my list today other than gym...and I honestly may not even look at the list!
Enjoy the orchid show. My orchids which have been in bloom since January, are about done. Some of the plants have lost all their blooms, others are hanging on a little longer. I doubt any of them will still have blooms thru the month. But, 6-7 months of blooms??? YES!!! Though I will admit until about December when the bloom stalks are growing, the plants look rather, well, boring!
Ok, off to start my day with a core workout before I go do my cardio!

Hey Ed,
Here I thought I'd watched all of the vid's, and while I was watching them, you snuck in a bonus video!!! Gettin' sneaky are you?? LOL!
I'm over here having a fit. I've been aware and trying to fight off a few of Tom E's little friends for about a week. Damn little flea's. So, today I've either removed, covered, or tucked into drawers as much as I could, ran the Dyson once again, and sprayed my bedroom and bath. What really irks me, is Tom hasn't been in my bedroom, I don't think since the New Year...which means I'm also carrying the little devils. Grr-rose! So in the interest of my health, that room will be off limits for the day, possibly until tomorrow. (best option)
Then I'll figure out how to do the living room carpet, dining room, kitchen. That will be tough. Once I've got that done, will be time for the front room, which is where I'm hanging out today.
I think I need to investigate an alternative brand of flea drops for Tom, as Front Line is obviously not working. I've used it for years and apparently the fleas have mutated? maybe? or Frontline's formula has changed....
Anyhow, I find the whole thing disgusting!!!
I totally enjoyed the video's this morning...and I'll have to try the Rice Pudding breakfast, as well as the lunch and dinner recipe's.
Speaking of which....I've been using the Split pea/Barley/Potato soup from Sweet Tomatoes once as 'just soup', and as sauces twice. So, I need to run some thru the blender to make into a sauce, and then to freeze some. The soup is one of their seasonal soups, so it will be gone by August. I need to mark my calendar to make sure I have a fresh batch of soup to use and to freeze by months end. And then I'll need to wait until March for the Potato Leek soup!!! They do a nice black bean chili to help tide me over!

Computer just reminded me it is 10:00 o'clock...need to do my core video, and then make a gym run! Hope I remembered to get out ALL of my gym clothes...I can see my shoes and socks, and gym pant...concerned about having remembered a bra...I have gym shirts hanging in the laundry area, so..I may be making a really quick run into my bedroom dresser......
Finishing my mushroom coffee, I really like it hot, but before I drink the entire cup, it gets room temp, which isn't exactly good...or bad!! Smirk!!

Sunny, not to hot, (yet), just a great morning!
Spent the last hour on the screened in porch with my spoiled rotten silly cat! Tom E. was a charmer this morning. Hated to call it a morning, but......
Core workout up next, and then off to the gym for some cardio. Home for a quick shower, lunch, and a run to Lawrenceville for my scheduled hearing aid check up.
I just may have to make some 'Mushy .....what ever she's saying...that looked good. Follow My Heart makes a really nice fake Parm. cheese.....There is a variety of pasta around here. I have some regular wheat with added protein, a black bean pasta, and Edamame pasta. So, all I need is some squash! I'd be tempted to add in some sautéed mushrooms if I have a few rogue mushrooms in the refrigerator. As usual Emmy is a hoot!

Its Wednesday, and the first (and only) Wednesday morning that I don't have an appointment for Heath, hair, eyes, etc...!!!
Looking out of my window I see breezes, and some bursts of outright wind! I think maybe we'll get that 40% Ed!
I know I watered plants in pots yesterday.. if I don't get overnight rain tomorrow will be def. a day to hook up the garden hose to a sprinkler. (I'd rather not have to do that...)
Trip to the gym, and Walmart Cat food run hummmm?? Low on canned cat food, but not 'critical' for another 2 days!
I have a mountain of paper stuff to be shredded, so should it rain..........

Good Friday Morning!
Off to the gym shortly, then back to the hospital, return the container of washers to Home Depot, and today I'm having a meal at Sweet Tomatoes...It didn't work out yesterday....
I also have a load of clothes in the dryer to deal with.
And if I should run out of things to do, there are some interesting speakers on today's summit. I just watched a 50 minute tutorial on blueberries, and I don't have a blueberry plant!!!! go figure.. There are several others to watch, and they're online til 9pm tonite. I missed the one I really wanted to see on raising micro greens, but hopefully the will re-air the entire series over the weekend, and I'll catch them then.

So, the Pasta and Mushroom dish looks great. Will give that a try, and smash my mushroom caps instead of slicing them! Chop kale, then wash. I was guilty of doing that backwards......
Made it to the bank, home did my core video, and am currently watching the news. So, Home Depot, and gym is all that's left on the old list!! ||

Howdy. It's sassy Saturday! Beans are baking for this afternoon's party. I may not stay long, but we'll see. At least the folks will have their beans! If the rains hit, there may be soggy people eating the beans. At least the food is in an indoor area, so we don't have to worry about the food getting soggy.

Good Morning..Saturday holds promise. Of what I know not!
Finished my coffee, spent time with Tom E. and just finished culling the emails. Now, on to things like gym and Home Depot (since I didn't go there yesterday), and dashing into Sweet Toms (decided to steam a big batch of veggie so didn't go there either!) LOL!!
Other than the making up for yesterdays unfinished list!, nothing on the agenda!
Hope you enjoy the party and that the rain holds off. After the party, and you're home, can it rain??? LOL! Still rain short over here...I didn't get all the rain that Ted and Jack got last week. I did get nearly half an inch, which I am grateful for!

Good Morning! Sunday, no sun yet!
Lots of 'odd and ends' of chores for today. From kitchen to bath and everything in between.
Spent a good bit of the morning outdoors with Tom E. Was a nice quiet time, but didn't advance my day at all!!!
Fell short yesterday in my calorie burning by about 40 calories...so I won't be getting that 7 day goal pin. But, all's good. I needed a day off from the gym. Will be at the gym today for sure.
Need two bales of pine straw, and little else shopping wise.
Watched Jason make old old cookies. Not exactly on my diet, but he's always fun to watch,, and learn about cooking from earlier centuries!

Good Morning!
i think it's likely to be a fine day. Lots of little chores, etc. Nothing earth shaking. When you wake trying to remember the words to a kids song about Mother Goose, you know it will be a 'different' day at least. I bought an LP record for Jack when he was about 2 and we'd sing & he'd dance...so this morning I had to come here to the computer to find all of the words to Old Mother Goose. Its the English version I remember, as now there are even Asian versions of the little song on the internet.
Ok, enough of that. Food is cooked for both meals today (read leftovers ) Yay!!! And no I don't cook in quantities like Grandpa Kitchen!! Good heavens! I wonder if all those children are related to him, or if he's feeding a school, or something? Anyhow, a lot of food!!!
I think I'll start my chores with a load of laundry....

I read on one of the videos that Grandpa is feeding orphans. I think it's wonderful that he's not only feeding them, but letting them eat varied, and multi-cultural food.

Good morning
waiting for the rain! When I went out on the porch this morning it sounded like there was a very light sprinkling happening, but I couldn't actually SEE it?? The rain gauge said 0.07. from midnight to 8:00. Not much, eh?
But, I do believe it will actually rain sometime today!
Watched Grandpa make the veg. Manchurian dish...that was a LOT of work! And then I watched a Grandpa briyani with little asian eggplants. That was interesting! And I could just smell those wonderful spices!
Today while it rains, I am going to shred paper...old bills, etc with my name, address, etc on them. I don't get them anymore, but Wells Fargo and another bank used to send various offers with blank checks for me to use to start a credit balance....those for sure got shredded! So, I have a backlog of shredding and it an rain for days!!! LOL!!
Sometime or other I am going to be forced to cook...but I think it can wait until tomorrow or maybe Thursday depending on how big my lunch will be from lunch tomorrow while I'm in town with Ted. We're going to Green Sprout Ga. Menu is entirely vegan, so if the food tastes good it could become a 'go to' kinda place.
TIme now to get moving. I think today I'll stay home and use my video's and bike to satisfy my watches exercise demands!!

I yelped, scared the cat, etc. So, I made a new cup of coffee later when I came indoors. So just don't scare the cats!!

Well, it hasn't rained yet, since I have been up this morning, though there is evidence of some overnight rain. I took advantage of that to get the garbage and recycles to the curb, for tomorrow's pick up. As usual, General Kiara supervised the scooping and refreshing of the litter boxes, with Corporals Dinah and Orion assisting. Apparently my work passed inspection, as refreshed boxes immediately got christened.

What happened to the rain? It just cleared up and the forecast changed to 20% and then 0%! I wanted the rain, though I didn't miss the additional thunder and lightning at all. Oh well. Maybe some house cleaning today.

Good Morning...its Wednesday already!
I too would like to know where the rain rained, cuz not at my house. When I woke there was 7 one hundredths of rain from overnight...and that was ALL the rain for the day. Glad I'd watered the potted plants and didn't wait for the rain to happen.
Glad to know you have an 'army' of helpers at your house!! Tom's more like 'I'm gonna sit here and yowl til you get that plate on the porch! '
Bossy and I spent a bit over half hour on the swing after he ate, no startling noises like flying coffee cups, etc!!
Chiro appointment today, then Ted and I are going to Green Sprouts for lunch, and I'm going to Trader Joe's before I leave town. Just need to be sure to be on the road home before 4 p. or else be prepared to creep my way home. Have all the ingredients to make a lime millet salad...mostly raw veggies, and millet with a honey lime dressing. That probably won't happen until Thursday morning though.

also no bears! There have been several around the area...more north towards Sugar Hill area. And then for days the 'news' was all the copperheads more than usual...last night they switched to spiders and black widows and brown recluse, They re-run these 'scarries' every July!!!
