Good Morning..it was cool and beautiful early this morning. (like 69 degrees or less),
but, now at 10 its 74, and heading for 80 at noon!
Ted put on his 'landscaping hat' and is in my yard working. I've finished my indoor chores, mostly, and heading out the door. Back later today to watch Grandpa cook up some tasty food, and peek at fb.

Good Morning!
Laundry started, cat fed, me fed, coffee cold.
Watched Grandpa make chocolate pancakes....and with chocolate syrup as well!!!! I'll bet that was one 'wired' orphanage full of kids after that breakfast!!!
Gym and laundry are my primary aims this morning. Maybe a Kroger run? We'll see.....
Beautiful cool morning. Have the house opened up. Love it when Mother Nature gives the A/C a rest!!!
Ok, recycle truck was about 15 minutes ahead of the trash truck, so I can go retrieve the cans.
Yard looks nice. Ted did a nice job yesterday! He did a couple other little odd jobs then washed his Honda Fit, and headed home. I offered him lunch, but he declined. We both enjoyed our Green Sprout lunches Wednesday. My crispy tofu and veg. lunch was good, and I really wanted to know what they dipped the tofu in before frying, cuz it was really crisp...and tasty!!
Ok, off to get those trash containers, and get my gym clothes on...

Quick hello...
I slept in this morning....now I feel like I'm 'behind' in my day...and that's ridiculous!
Hitting the laundry button today, and gonna really get it ALL finished. Then the usual...gym, 20 minute core, etc.
Hope you have a good nap, and the cats let you sleep soundly and wake refreshed.

Good Morning! Sunday! Funday!!! (except for the stack of mending that I Will, will, tackle sometime today)
Watched the smashed potato video. I've made something similar, only it had cow cheese on top, and was billed as Smashed Potatoes/Australia. This will all work for me, and the FYH Parm cheese is really nice, so..... will make sometime soon. (also have fresh rosemary and thyme growing in pots in my yard, as well as oregano, and some really tasteless dill ) I have no idea what if anything is happening with my pot of potatoes. It was a spur of the moment thing. Later I did some reading,...I couldn't have made any more 'mistakes' if I'd tried. So, I will repeat next year with some added knowledge.
I've had coffee with Tom this morning. (more 'with Tom' than coffee. I'm finishing off the last half cup at my desk while I chat with you. )

Me again...like you were expecting Santa Clause???
Sitting here mentally crafting dinner...I have eaten all the leftovers. EXCEPT, I have half a bag of Asian Vegetables with Beijing Style Soy Sauce. Is Vegan. and came from Trader Joe's freezer section. I cooked mine in the microwave, but it can also be done in your wok, or a big skillet.

It's marvelous Monday! J got back in the wee hours and is still asleep. I am on my second big mug of hot tea, having finished with breakfast. Dinah is near me, supervising from a spot just a bit unusual for her, but she has been wanting to be closer to me lately and I think she is quietly singing, "I Just Can't Wait To Be Queen" for a while now. Lilo is in no hurry to vacate the throne, knock on wood.
I need to get out today, if only to buy cat food. I will ponder that after I finish my pot of tea.

Quick Hello!
If you're going to Kroger, just hope they restocked the shelves overnight. I have to go back sometime today, and get my Kroger Sparkling Water. I drink one little glass each evening, and let myself run out. And they (Kroger) didn't have any either!!! Bah Humbug!! That will teach me to go later Sunday afternoon, and remind me to replace my Sparkling Water before it's all gone! Life's tough!!!! LOL!
Going back now and see what Grandpa is doing with the potatoes, and the other one with the mountains of ??? something green.

It's terrific Tuesday! I've been up for a while but distracted. I've shot Lilo (because it's Tuesday), got some laundry started, and put away the clean dishes from the dishwasher. Might get out for a little grocery run later.

Good Morning! Tues. July 30 already!
WOW, month has gone quickly. Will celebrate months end with a hair cut tomorrow!
I will be back later, need to see what happened to EMMY, and her lemon meringue pie! (meringue looks fabulous for what its worth!) And, Grandpa has me intrigued with a large pot of something, (your comment has me wondering?), and the dumplings..look pretty darn good, and what the heck is in the big bowl? Looks like washing plums??
I may have mentioned, if so skip...Promise Bread and Costco. See sparks flying and angry face if not, (for the Kroger monster, not at you Ed!!)
I really loved that Promise Bread. Gluten free, low calorie, tasty, keeps very well in the refrigerator, etc. and Costco no longer is going to carry it????? WTF, and yes I meant that. It sold well, and darn it, I LOVED it.
I bought and finally toasted (?) the 'alt' bread. (its 'Artisan') GF, etc...a pretty small little loaf, for the price, and it does NOT toast. Meaning my toaster didn't phase its whiteness. (same setting as what I used on my Promise bread)...taste if I'm honest, is decent ...slice a bit thick, but that's ok too. Meanwhile I'm back to my Ezekiel bread from the freeze departments. (I've never seen a 'fresh' (unfrozen) loaf.) Good, but pricey.
Ok, rant-less now.
Sunny, so guessing its gonna be hot today. My bad for sleeping in. Now I have to go to the gym, and since I didn't go to Kroger yesterday as planned..... If they don't have their Kroger brand flavored sparkling water, there are 2 other Krogers not very far away. One as old as the hills, the other just a bit farther than the one I shop at Reynolds Crossing strip mall.
Other than that, and the lingering stack of mending..(nope, didn't do that either) Wondering why I even bother to make a To Do list??? LOL!!
Hope your day goes well, and I'm ready for some GOOD news about Roger! I'm sure you are too.

It's wonderful Wednesday! We actually got a good bit of rain yesterday, which pleased me. I got all the laundry done, folded, and put away (on the same day) and got my nap in. I even made hummus and a baked casserole of potato, onion, bell pepper, and cheese for dinner. There is quite a bit of hummus left, as one can of garbanzos makes a lot so that may feature as part (or maybe all) of my lunch today. I might get a few refrigerated grocery items today.

Someone needs to tell Grandpa that you don't need oil in the water used to cook the pasta. You need plenty of salt! Enough salt will help keep it from sticking, and then you won't have oily pasta that the sauce won't stick to.

Ok, sitting here laughing way too much. Lunch with friends is always great, male or female!! Hope your friend is available.
Also hope I trim back my nails TODAY. I keep thinking I'll do it, don't do it, and now they're really long and I am having issues typing, buttons, etc. I'm grateful I have nice sturdy, healthy finger nails, but .......
My list today is very short... and I need to get to it...
Gym, strip bedding
Water outdoor plants that are potted...
Annnd, that blasted stack of mending....4 pairs of gym pants to make waist a bit tighter...or else I can't put my phone in the pockets and walk...the weight of the phone pulls.....you know....
and a shirt that the sleeve has partially removed itself from the cuff...

really all just utilitarian stuff!!!

It's fantastic Friday! J's mother brought his car down from Kentucky, where it's been almost since he bought his motorcycle while up there. He did drive his car back home once, and then made another trip up and came back on his motorcycle. His mother, her brother, and a cousin all came down just to bring it back. We had burgers at Cheeseburger Bobby's and then they went back to Kentucky. Check out my food review on the Impossible Burger on FaceBook. Camping tonight and tomorrow night for us.

Hey Ed! Grandpa does like his chili's! Maybe not putting them in the cakes, (just not yet)...but it would not surprise me to see them in bread or biscuits. MMM. Biscuits with chillies and cheese!!! OMG. if that sounds half as good to you and it did to me while I typed it....I'll be seeing this recipe soon!!!
I got 0.65 inches and a LOT of thunder, one electrical 'flip'. So I need to reset the time on the microwave, etc. I understand 10,000 or more were without electricity yesterday evening from the storms. I got no rain, just noisy clouds!
Today is 'hustle day'. My brother Bud's wife is in town, and texted me yesterday about Sunday Lunch at Sweet Toms'. I can't go Sunday, but left the option for Saturday??? She'll let me know if that works for them. They had planned a family golf game....so depending on the weather....yada, yada. So my weekend is pretty well shot! Not that I really, really mind. Just not my fav SIL...and since Bud died, nobody to 'rein her in!???!.' I shouldn't *kitten*, twice a year, as she passes thru GA she spends time with her daughter and 2 grandchildren, and we all have a 'civil' lunch at Sweet Toms...but.......

Looks nice outside my windows. Sunny, and still in the 70's here, so I'm sure in the mountains its even better!
I have to wonder if there are any blueberries or blackberries still on the bushes up there. I know up around Asheville in NC. there were still some around. On the other hand, some rogue bear might object if he sees you eating 'his' food!

Hope your time in the mountains was wonderful! I expect it was.
Need some serious gym time later today. I've eaten the last of my beautiful Cherokee tomato, with Vegenaise dressing and the not so toasty gluten free bread...it was delicious! May have to spring for another nice big one soon! (I made 4 pretty thick sandwiches from that tomato. so it was probably about $1.25 worth of tomato a sandwich...not bad) Not bad at all, and so very tasty!
Nap first, and then gym time! Its kinda light rain, off and on today, def. overcast...great nap day. Would hate to not take advantage of it!

Off to the gym, earlier than usual. My friend Marietta is going to call probably around 10:30 ish...its a guess. She's headed home. Her Mom has Alz. and is right now at that stage of vile lashing out anger, sometimes verbal and sometimes physical. I know she needs to vent. So, planning my day around that phone call.
I need to go back and find the cat pix from yesterday and print them out...otherwise I will never keep them straight in my mind! They are all beautiful. Your SURE that one with the gorgeous fur coat is a male? right?....that coat looks like a beautiful sable that any woman would love to wear....sigh. LOL
Ok, I know you have lots to do, and I need to head out for the gym so I'm home for M's call. Poor woman...first she took care of her FIL, and MIL..and now her Mom...more than her fair share.
