Hi
I'm home and did not walking as I decided to take a day off. The Temperature outside the door was 48 degrees. The rain forecast for yesterday arrived a little early, today is supposed to be better.
I suspect that there will a deadlock in Washington due to the election results, I hope I am wrong and the the Democrat House and the Republican Senate find a way to work together.
That is so sad.

Need to get yesterday's cat bowls cleaned up and feed the cats. Hoping for a nap as well. I got in line to vote 10 minutes before the polls opened, and was out 35 minutes after they opened. Not too bad a wait. They could have used more polling machines, as they only had 6 and they were very busy. I suspect they planned that as if this were a "normal" mid-term and not the hot mid-term that it is.
I hope they STAY that busy all day though! People need to start voting instead of the majority staying at home.
Nothing else major on the agenda.
J is up the hill now now, in line. I went early as one of us has to be home to sign for my crate of wine, even though it's not really expected to arrive until this afternoon. But you never know! I got back from voting before the UPS truck even left the depot, just in case.
Our weather forecast is showing 1 day of rain followed by 2 days of dry, repeat until the end of the forecast period
I think my brother and I spent 20 minutes from the time we left the house until we returned home. We left the house around 6:50AM and 5 minutes later I was signing the book at the polling place, They split the Alphabet into two groups, for my last names group I was #20 FWIW. There was a steady stream of people voting before going to work in my opinion AKA IMO. Most of NJ was had much less trouble compared to NYC where they seem to fill out a paper ballet and then feed it into a scanner, The Scanners kept having to be repaired and often 2 out of 7 or worse none might be working. The NYC Board of Elections blamed it on people dripping on the paper and then feeding it into the scanner and jamming it. In NJ we enter a booth, Push the buttons for out choice, press enter and done. From watching the news many areas had lines that were blocks long.
It is rare that I have to sign for anything from UPS, USPS, or FedEx. That only thing I can remember doing that for in many years was the repaired iPod Nano that apple shipped and that was actually a replacement that looked brand new. Which made me happy as I was afraid I'd get back something that worked but looked like a truck had run over itparityanimal wrote: »Xôi Gac - GAC Fruit Rice Recipe Test & Tasteparityanimal wrote: »How To Make Keto Pastaparityanimal wrote: »Irish people try to break some teeth! Hi Valerie0 -
Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! 10C/50F with an expected high of 20C/69F and 60% chance of precipitation.
Need to feed the cats and clean yesterday's cat bowls. And I need to get ready in a while and head out to my vision check-up, which is scheduled for 10:30.
I'll probably stop on the way home for a few groceries at Ingles and possibly lunch, either from Ingles or from Taco Bell.

Good Wednesday Morning! Sun is in and out...but I think it will be a 'good enough' day!
I think rain later in the afternoon. Is ok, I have no known reason to be out and about.
Right now I am hungry....my usual banana is not 'enough' this day. Guess I may eat lunch at noon today.
Going to pick up myMacBook Air, and move to a warmer part of the house. Much better!
Few things done...like filling my new Salt grinders, I may do a load of dark clothes later. First will be a nap!
Later...

Not much change to my vision prescription, but new glasses ordered anyway. $10 for the checkup and $77 for the glasses which should be ready within a week or so.0

Yesterday and today are (were) both rain free, I have not seen the weather forecasts give a definitive time for Friday's rain arrival.
Friday Morning the guy from the flooring store comes early to measure the Kitchen, My brother has decided to have Linoleum installed. Being easy and since he is the one unhappy with the floor I went along.
Taco Bell ?? Not my favorite eatery, it has been many years since I had food from there, the food could have improved ?parityanimal wrote: »Psyllium Flatbread/Naan | Vegan, Paleo, Ketoparityanimal wrote: »I love mooncakes. As long as I am inside looking out I do not mind rain, I do mind snow as I know that it will need to be shoveled. Sleet and freezing rain is a bit of a problem as the Freezing rain can lead to power line problems and sleet could cause a vehicle to hit a pole and eat the power.
I am not surprised that the Banana did not do the job, A easy digestion and the possibility of a quick bump in Blood Sugar and a fast drop leading to hunger IMO.
Most all of the house runs the same temperature when the heat is on, With no central air not so in the summer
When I first read that my mind went to Salt Shakers not Salt Grinders. Does that also mean You have more than one Salt Grinder ?
I ordered a Nut Cracker with picks yesterday since I can not put my hands on the old ones making me unhappy and spend money

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! 14C/58F with an expected high of 16C/61F and 50% chance of precipitation.
Might do some laundry today, and could possibly get out to Aldi for some paper towels and to look at fruits and vegetables there.
Need to feed the cats, of course. I have already cleaned up yesterday's cat bowls!
And I would like a nap. Haven't looked yet to see just when the precipitation might come.

Quick Hello! Afternoon of Nov. 8th, 2018.
Rain comes and goes today. Interesting, yesterday during my nap, it must have rained pretty hard, and was in-fact still raining. I stepped onto the screened porch and looked out, saying not a word. Then walked back into the house, as I was about to close the sliding door, here came Tom E. from the roof...dry... This is the same cat that I have to call repeatedly to come in from the roof...and how could he be dry?? I have no answers. But there must be a small overhang somewhere up there. Cuz, it was not a toad strangler, but a good solid rain..and a dry cat...hmmmm. That's one for Schrodinger !!
He now also needs about a tablespoon of grated cheddar cheese with his dinner now too! I kinda figured after he made quick work of the cheese the first time that I was making a serious error!! LOL!. I will however in the future be purchasing the cheese already grated!
Yes, Roger, I now have 3 salt grinders....one is small, and about empty, which is what prompted me to get another...it is actually a Salt and a Pepper grinder...but both look identical, seem to work the same..ie same size grind. Comes in handy...since I don't salt my food when cooking, and only sometimes salt before eating, and since meals can be at the table, or the desk in the front room...its handy to have 2.
I was surprised that my morning banana didn't last until lunch time...its about all I ever eat every morning. One banana. Next day I was back to my normal 1 banana, and late lunch. ????? I dunno!
Gym tonite...weather guessers seem to think that the rain will be over by then. I sure hope. Nite driving in the rain is not fun anymore!
Ed, what do you think about the Governor race at this point? Her side says there are still votes to be counted, and in sufficient numbers to force a run off....and HE, the big boob, has already declared himself the winner. (Roger he's still the Sec. of State...so he sets the rules in the election. And he's been pretty darned underhanded. Purging thousands of votes, closing voting sites in rural GA. etc...and now declaring himself the winner....Sounds like he's being coached by someone ....
I sure hope these leaves dry out by Sunday...otherwise Ted's first leaf 'extravaganza' is going to be pretty brutal!! LOL!..and the trees are still at about 90% leafed.
Ok, time to hit the shower, and hope for clear weather!
Later...
