Good Sunday Morning....3 minutes til afternoon

No LaCrosse today...the other set of teams has today as their playoff for a spot in the finals....(their game was cancelled yesterday because of the thunder storms.) They play if only rain...if thunder and lightening they cancel the game. Makes sense to me.

I may be in a bit of a pouty mood today...the final LaCrosse game to determine the champs will be Wednesday night, in Milton. SO, I guess no night driving on strange roads Grammie will have to miss the final game...poop!

Had some overnight rain, says the rain gauge...I was 'unaware'...LOL

Today gym, and I think I'll tear apart the kitchen clean and re-assemble the kitchen. Should keep me busy for the day.

Watched Emmy make Dandelion Coffee...curious not to taste for myself...except I don't have any dandelions...and no I don't chemically kill weeds in my yard...I just don't have any... I may be the only human who ever wished for dandelions!

And the winner was...MEATLOAF! With mashed potatoes and steamed, lightly buttered, broccoli.

My mother's meatloaf (almost) since she used only ground beef.

Howdy all y'all. It's scintillating Sunday! A bit cooler today with 20% chance of rain. I still have half of the beef and pork mixture and it will make something today. Perhaps meatloaf or chili. Yesterday I had two different meals from it. For lunch, I made some small (slider size), seasoned patties and ate them with fried eggs. For dinner, I made a sort of black eyed pea and meat stew. I browned some of the meat, added a can of black eyed peas and some seasoning, and simmered for about 20 minutes. It turned out quite tasty, and provided plenty of protein, and enough carbs, with a good amount of fiber.

I guess I'll find out tonight what the remainder ends up turning into.
    Good Morning Ed
I know how I would have cooked the eggs, Well done :)
I suspect that Yours were cooked with a runny yolk ?

I always sort of wondered where the term Sliders originated. Evidently I am not curious to research it OTOH.

Good Choice, I suspect I would have preferred Your Mothers meatloaf since she used ground beef which is my preferred meat.

It does look tasty too. Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli as sides, Yum Yum.

I keep hearing the weathermen and weather ladies say that if You can see the lightning and hear the thunder You can be struck by the lightning so canceling makes good sense to me.

Night driving is something I used to do for a living, now unless it is an emergency, pass.

    Good Morning!
I think I managed about half an inch of rain. Seeing the weather human, I got cheated. They were reporting considerably more rain in my area!

I won money on my PowerBall ticket..bought on a whim..the proceeds will get spent on a whim..it was $4.00 wow!

Not much to tell here. I'm shortly heading over to Costco to pick up my thyroid med, and hopefully the blood pressure one will also be there. Both were requested, but that bp one did not have another refill??? and so they were going to contact my Doc.... that usually doesn't go over so well. Sometimes I don't think they read their emails at her office. So, I may spend part of my morning chasing down a pill that I really don't want....something not right there. And I'll do my duty and hit the gym. Sure hope my heart appreciates that I do that. LOL!

Will come back later and watch/read

It is 58 degrees outside and 68 degrees in the living room, I blame that on the heat being off since Monday Morning.

    Hi Ed
    Helping ?
I find it hard to type properly with one hand, The main problem being capitalization and of course the speed loss.

Thunderstorms or maybe just storms this later today into the overnight hours and this mornings forecast showed 0% chance of rain for Wednesday and Thursday. That is if the Local Cable News channel News12 is right. If anyone is interested here is a link to their site.

Quick, There is no way You left the House  Interesting, What makes the usual ones non Vegan, The frosting or the roll or both ?

Westfield is not that near, maybe a 25 or 35 minute drive and since my brother is familiar with it I would have to get him to drive and as soon as he saw Vegan that would be a non starter :(

Thanks for the heads up however maybe if this one does good they open one where I would drive to it. Westfield parking can be a problem that would likley be worse from the crowds I expect this will draw. BTW I tend to steer clear of grand openings since I am no fan of crowds. When Sonic opened their location near me the cars were backed up down the highway shoulder and Police were there to handle the traffic.

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! I gave the oldest cat her weekly injection and subsequent "OMG YOU SHOT ME!" treats... I need to get out soon to get cat food, but that doesn't have to be today. It might be, though, as it's supposed to be hot and dry. No chance of rain and 100% chance of high pollen count.

I finished off the meatloaf for breakfast and I have my sirloin tip roast going in a slow cooker with carrots, potatoes, and a large Vidalia onion. Dinner should be about 6:30 this evening, should anyone wish to drop by.

    Hello Ed
The Pollen Count is also high here, Today's forecast high is around 70 degrees. There are still a few small puddles from last nights Thunderstorm that rolled through around 9PM.

Thanks for the feedback on the BP meds. I feel tired enough without them helping me feel tired and weird While in the hospital and a followup visit the BP was trending down. The last reading was 130 or 78, I think it 78 so I have not opened the bottle.

The last canned fish I saw my brother eat excluding all the canned tuna he eats was a tin of kippers.

I always liked canned beans added to fried onions and slices of Hot Dogs fried with the Onions.
I also Like a Italian Hot Dog, That is Beef Hot Dogs, Fried Onions, Fried Green Peppers and fried chunks of potato. Usually served with mustard on the roll. When I say fried they are deep fried. So tasty, So not good for a diet.
