Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! Need to water some plants today. Breakfast was some of the stew I made from last night's leftovers. I will be eating that for several more meals.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! Just a few more days until we celebrate mothers all over the country. I've been called a mother a few times myself, but we needn't discuss that any further.

My mother has received the bonsai gardenia that I sent and says it already has a bloom open. Our gardenia here in Peachtree Corners has buds, but no blooms as yet.

They are getting really close to digging more in our yard, for the new drainage conduit. I hope all the power and cable lines are properly mapped!

Good Morning!..Its Thursday, meaning? tomorrow is TGIF!!! So, its practice TGIF day...
I have laundry going, and Tom and eaten, as have I. So, I think its gym up next, followed by divide and plant the Black Mondo grass that Ted dug up last week? or was it this week???? Makes no difference, it just needs to be planted today. I turned on the sprinkler for that part of the yard last night for about 30 minuets to soften up the soil and make planting a bit easier!!

Little bit of kitchen clean up needed, and also will run the Dyson. Not nearly as 'urgent' now that Tom E. lives outdoors :)

And that will be my day, unless there is O's gym. Will have to check on that later today.

    I watched Emmy...sorta wish I hadn't! Sounds awful.
And Roger I do hope you get your test results today....and that the results are good!

    Hi
It is 57 degrees outside. There appears to be a light drizzle outside and the day is gloomy looking. However the forecast is for the highs to be around 79 degrees.

I had a call from the nice Young lady at the doctors office I spoke to the other day and she said that the hospital had not yet released the results to them and that she would keep an eye out for the results and let me know. She sounds young anyway

Did I mention I have a somewhat twisted sense of humor ?

I find it interesting that there are Bonsai Gardenias, Who knew, Not I.

Here in NJ before You dig You are supposed to call Dig Safe a free service where the Utility Companies send out a truck from each different utility and they map and mark the lines with flags, Blue for water lines as an example. Most people do not call them just to plant flowers in a flower bed although I suspect that technically they are supposed to. We know within a couple of feet where the Water and Gas lines are from when they were marked so that the water company could install the water shutoff valve after they gave up trying to find the old one. They did theorize that it could be under the paved driveway

I hope that You end up with minimal disruptions to Your Yard and utilities.

Black Mondo Grass is a new one to me, I think I will go look at it in the Bing search engine and see what it is. OK I'm back and this looks like it is a decorative grass.

Dyson, You spendthrift  We spent a whole $50 each for 3 Dirt Devil vacuum cleaners that puts one on each floor thus no lugging them up or down, it is all about easy

Hopefully there was Gym for O and You enjoyed it.

You probably saw my comment about Emmy's Video, Fermented Tofu.

In my status report post today I did not mention that I have not a lot of hope hearing test results today and Monday ? I am fairly sure that given I have a doctors appointment on the 24th I should hear something by then :(
It is the uncertainty that is aggravating me. I am sure the test was ordered as being necessary and to not know is bugging me.

Howdy all y'all. It's fantastic Friday! Another warm one here, with a small chance of rain. I finished off my stew for breakfast and have no definite plans for lunch or dinner, though I do have a pound of 85/15 ground beef thawing in the refrigerator. I also have a few canned items that could serve. The cats are asking for breakfast but it's not time yet.

Ha!! Good Friday Morning! Should be a good TGIF day, as I practiced it yesterday!
Today..Dr. Bones at 10 a.m. Then GYM, then a bit of shopping. Today is 'Mother's Day' for my neighbor. The hispanic folks celebrate Mother's Day on May 10th. Period. So, I need a nice card, and a bunch of flowers! And Sunday, My neighbor will give me a very lovely card and a bunch of flowers!! We've got this down!!! :)

Enjoying my coffee and have eaten my oatmeal with cinnamon, blueberries and raspberries. I'd eaten my daily banana earlier this morning.

Had some rain last night..0.32 is what the rain gauge is showing. Nice! Glad I got the black mondo planted. Yes, Roger it is an ornamental grass that grows nicely in shade or semi shade..gets about and inch and a half tall, spreads very slowly by underground runner, and is not cheap to buy. I planted some in the front yard years ago, and it had filled in the bed it was in, bloomed a time or two, and so that is what we used to plant on the hill between my house and Lu's house. Oh, and it stays that dark green all winter long too!!! Plus/plus!! What Ted dug up last week was patches of the Mondo that were here and there around the yard..lovingly planted by little birdies! So, I'm using these free gifts to augment the mondo planted nearly 2 years ago when the yard drains were put in. I see it used in town where Ted lives, as 'grass'. Usually planted on what appears to be 5 inch centers. Fun to watch it fill in.

My pomegranate tree is loaded with bright orangy blossoms! Its an ornamental, so no little poms will grow. If I'd known that this tree would grow nicely in my part of GA, I'd have ferreted out the real deal, and grown my own poms. Oh, well....

Ok, time for me to be in motion, so I get to Dr. Bones on time, (and fully dressed).... :)

    Later...

    Hi
It is 59 degrees outside. There appears to have been a light drizzle overnight based on the street being wet except under trees where is dry and the day is gloomy looking. However the forecast is for today to be dry.

Update: I had a call Yesterday afternoon from the Patient records section at the hospital and if I go in person with photo ID I can get a copy of the test results. The call came to late to go Friday and the next day they are open is Monday. Progress of a sort.

Our weather has been weird so far this year with the temperatures up and down. Hard to dig the garden or run the Tiller when the ground stays soggy. It appears that my brother will be late getting things planted :(

I think it is a good Price, My brother brought home 3 one pound cryopac 85/15 packages of organic ground beef at $2.99 each if three were bought.
A canned item that could be used here are cans of Spam, so Tasty when fried until crispy. Lots of things in the freezer as well as bacon in the refrigerator.

I suspect that You will never get the cats trained as to when the food appears

That is something I never heard of Hispanics and Mothers day on the 10th? I wonder if that is all of them or only some. I would have expected it to be in the news from NYC if it was all of them.

    Hey!!!
Had a lovely Mum's Day luncheon with Jack and Jenn...Getting there was a pain. Easy drive, but I'd never been to 'Beautiful Downtown Duluth, actually known as Duluth Town Center? I think. Fortunately it did not rain all over place! Unfortunately, there was one wreck that I saw, possibly one that I bypassed by cutting thru the parking lot of Kaiser Permanente, and then about the time I really needed the directions from Google, Marietta started sending me multiple text messages, which would cover the directions...it was a mess. BUT, I got there just at the time I should have. Had a very tasty lunch...(garden salad and french fries) the place obviously didn't cater to vegans or even bother to give a nod to vegetarians....its a shame as the menu would have lent to either with very little effort on their part. It was 'ole South' kinda place...but I ate my salad... :)

The baby goats, like you pointed out Roger, are cute...they don't grow that big...not like a cow or pig, etc. Maybe call them medium small? :) Last year John raised sheep. I think he now understands why I dislike sheep. (which are actually bigger than goats)...As far as weeds??? I dunno. Have't seen where they've pastured, but I'd guess they'd eat weeds and anything else that grew. I do know John also feeds them. :) And he posted another pix...of what looks like new hatched chicks or ducks...I couldn't tell which from the pix. Little 'cheepers' which ever.

It is now looking like the rain that we'd been threatened with all day is probably going to be happening soon. Getting quite dark for 5p.m.

Orion has figured out how to get your attention Ed!!! Tom and I sat together on the back porch last night. Tom got flea drops on his shoulder/neck. In a month he'll forget and I'll do it again! LOL! I really wouldn't mind sitting out there with a cup of tea, and may just do that in a minute...its just that I get so covered with cat hair.....makes me nuts!

I did wrap my leg today, but I also wore real shoes, and not running shoes, with my slacks...a nice step closer to 'normal'.

Oh, May 10th is a Mexican thing... and is different in I believe the UK or Australia..don't remember which. We do second Sunday in May, along with Canada and several other countries. ...gotta love Google... :)
I will say having a set date, makes it easier to remember...no questioning or counting involved. lol!!

Ok, Tom is wanting my attention...he must sense its after 5 p.m.. He's pretty good at telling time. Not that he doesn't try to work in an extra meal now and then!

    Later...
