Did you know you can sue a creditor or a credit bureau for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act? Violations happen all the time to unsuspecting consumers who don't have a clue as to what their rights are — let alone that they can sue someone for these violations.

Hello!
Val, I hope things go better. Sounds like you are putting in some rough time.
I am just trying to get back to some normal semblance of just eating sensibly. I guess my social obligations are just a hindrance I need to work with. That puts out the keto, which works well if I could just stay home! Interesting articles, still catching up.

Hi
I'm back home from walking no cents. The Temperature out the door was 77 degrees and uncomfortable while walking due to humidity IMO.
There was a light show out the living room window yesterday evening with Thunder and rain as an accompaniment. Then I suspect the Loud thunder that returned in the night woke me up and there was a couple of really loud Thunderclaps after I was awakened. 100% chance of rain as it spritzed, Technical term, in the afternoon then a heavier rain in the evening. The 10 O-Clock weather showed 0.6 inches nearby and then more fell overnight, After the Thunder probably woke me up I could hear large drops hitting the window AC.

I feel so sorry for You having such a hard time for a while now. Be Strong.
I was lucky the few times I have used a lawyer they were polite and helpful, so much for southern hospitality?
The one we have now is great, she has handled things for the family for years.
My Sister is having many problems with a lawyer in California that here Washington state lawyer referred her to so I know we have been lucky here in NJ.

I had trouble with a collection agency once. They made tens of calls. I finally told them I always paid my bills, and always ask at the DR. office if I am current and paid. I would get a lawyer and report and sue them if it continued. Then I drove to the Dr. and explained what was happening. I showed my receipts and told them not once did they ever contact me if I even owed anything. I was polite, but in no uncertain terms, firm and told them to fix it. I had one call after which I did not answer and that was it. A month and a half later the one doctor in the group was shut down due to insurance fraud. No insurance would pay off on his patients after that. Kind of a shame as he was a good Dr. who I think just had issues with insurance dictating his treatment especially for the poor. Not a fight you will win...plus you just cannot break the law, no matter how unfair it seems....

Hi
I'm back home from walking no cents. The Temperature out the door was 70 degrees and was comfortable while walking with a light breeze until a light rain made its appearance. That led to me pulling out the disposable rain poncho which blocked the breeze and made the walking less comfortable.
Today is forecast to be cooler and the humidity is forecast to drop for a couple of days.
Yesterday there was rain in the early evening.

Thanks for the funnies Roger. Those Italian bridge collapses are shocking. I’m having a much better day today than Friday! The hospital has called-off the collection agency. I thought that was interesting too.
Agreed I feel for both sides of the small house issue. People do need affordable at the same time I would not want my property values degraded by being next to them. It is a tough issue as I see it. I didn’t realize i missed a day, sorry. Today has been really rough. Ignis mauled my chihuahua spike. Emergency surgery and $900 later he’s home, and just sits crying. He’ll live in Em’s room until healed AND till Ignis goes home. I’ve always fed Ignis separately, but Spike found a stray piece of kibble and that set him off. While at the e-vet, Em texts that she needs to come home from school because she can’t stop vomiting and crying. I told her she had to wait until Spike was admitted. So, then i got my kid. Then took her for hearing exam. Fortunately same level as previous. Vet isn’t sure that there’s no lung puncture. Didn’t see or hear any, but severe swelling, so, could get worse. I’m so wiped out. AND... I need to work tonight.1

Have a Great Thursday

Good morning!!
And I am hungry!! I had some black coffee and chicken stock for breakfast. And some jello and ginger ale for lunch. Saving my big jello splurge for dinner, lol...
Lots of cute humor in the humorous pages! I wish I did not like Amazon so much...they do not have the best ethics in my opinion and could treat their workers better. I have cut down a bit. I feel like that lady in the article!..how many billions and millions do you need..... I do not recall him doing any humanitarian work..Has he? That tinder date article is well...class-less...IMO.
Sadly I use Amazon too, One reason is the depth of products, another is I prefer not to spread my Credit Card info all over the Internet by avoiding them. Now if my Bank(s) would just offer a One time Credit card such as I have heard of from others. Generate a one use number would be much safer.
IMO that is a somewhat weird breakfast, Chicken Stock ?
Classless is a complete understatement, fortunately some of the men were smart enough to not participate when they saw the setup.Pushed the wrong button!! Yes that was a 2 not an @!!! Old timers!!
It is still warm today but much less humid, yay!! Really nice for at least a couple days! Trying to get a few things done, but not too ambitious!! Imagine that!! So much to do! So little incentive! Guess I will try to do some chores...Glad when tomorrow is done!!
Take care!! ...Jan
I am interested in hearing what that is that is so much easier so I can store that information away for the future use.
The weather this morning while walking was great, I could see that there had been some rain, whether it was only from yesterday evenings rain or more overnight I'm not sure. It looks dry outside, OTOH I do see a few drops on the windows have now appeared. I may run to the Grocery Store later, that sort of depends on the weather as nothing is critical so if it does rain I will avoid driving in it.
Less Humid here to for a couple of days at least
Have a Good Day

He’ll live in Em’s room until healed AND till Ignis goes home. I’ve always fed Ignis separately, but Spike found a stray piece of kibble and that set him off. While at the e-vet, Em texts that she needs to come home from school because she can’t stop vomiting and crying. I told her she had to wait until Spike was admitted. So, then i got my kid. Then took her for hearing exam. Fortunately same level as previous. Vet isn’t sure that there’s no lung puncture. Didn’t see or hear any, but severe swelling, so, could get worse. I’m so wiped out. AND... I need to work tonight.
No problem, real life comes before posting on MFP.
Yikes that looks bad with all that bandaging. I'm sorry to hear that happened to Spike.
With Your Daughters problem You had a really tough day so no surprise that You are wiped out.
This was on the news last night, I did not know if You and Jan had seen it or heard of it ?

Company Is Offering ‘Fur-ternity Leave’ for New Pet Owners
Connor McCarthy, who works at Nina Hale in Minnesota, sought permission from his boss to work from home when he got a new dog, a goldendoodle named Bentley.CreditCourtesy of Connor McCarthy
A Minneapolis marketing company recently made tweaks to its employee benefits this summer, ranging from conventional to unusual. It gave workers a larger commuter stipend, as well as a reason to avoid the office altogether: “fur-ternity leave,” or the ability to work from home for a week to welcome new dogs or cats.
Good Luck with Spike and Em

Em is all better. Spike is doing well but a long road ahead. Vet says 2-8 weeks for full recovery. I spent 4 hours last night lying on the bathroom tile floor so Spike could cuddle with me without my lift him. I’m old and fat with GERD and a hiatal hernia...4 hours was too long. But he appreciated it! Tonight I’ll take Oscar’s bed and Oscar into Spike’s bathroom to sleep. I’m so tired! Everything else is stable. Ignis will go home after their house inspection and appraisal. Hope nothing interferes with the sale of their house! He’s a beautiful dog, but that will make my life easier and i need that.1
