The leader of Grumpy Puppy Rescue and I swapped foster dogs today...she now has Prince the white dog, and I have a border collie mix puppy named Cooper. Work was super busy.

    Hi Val
Hi! My sinus infection is worse. We swapped dogs because Prince needs lots of exercise (Maggie has a fenced in acre! Plus she has a one-year old puppy with tons if energy to play w Prince. And her pup was attacking Cooper, so safety too. This pup is cute but not the easiest because he’s constantly into trouble (chews shoe, electric cords, feet, hands. He can easily climb over baby gates, and barks when crated. Plus—needs potty training! Work was intense yesterday...three simultaneous “urgent” requests! Everything got to the right people but holy moly! I feel so sick. Glad it’s Friday. Hope you all have a happy Friday!

I am sorry to hear that regarding Your Sinus infection...

The Dog Swap sounds like a Win Win situation.

I hope work eases up for You.

I stopped at Duncan Donuts and they had a display saying "Happy National Coffee Day" Buy a Medium or larger and get a free Medium Coffee. If I had known ahead I would have taken My Yeti, Bought a Medium and dumped it and the freebie into the Yeti for my walk.

Did I mention I picked up a Hamilton Beach Toaststation?
It has a two slice Toaster on top, and a Toaster Oven section below so it can do both well. Since I went that way I do have to watch the Toaster oven foods as it has no timer.

    Good morning!

It has been a rough couple of days. At least in the busy department. I spring cleaned house a little late, lol! I am sore everywhere and in places I did not know felt things myself, lol! A group of about 9 people came and cleared the area under the trees for me. Now my lawnmower people have no excuse but to keep it up!I am so exhausted though. I have not been home a single day in a while.

I have some running to do Monday but hope to be home Tuesday. Weds. I need to get an oil change, later Thurs. Board the dogs, and Friday we drive to Atlanta for our trip to Paris. I feel like a heel leaving the dogs. They have not totally gotten used to being home from just a few days ago. Definitely a bummer..

Val, sorry you are hurting, but glad you got out to walk! :)

Rodger, Appreciate the articles and humor!! It will take a bit to catch up!! Sounds like you are on track again!! ;)

I will write some more Monday! Interesting days!! Lol!

I would not be surprised if the allergies are contributing to the joint pain.
Have You ever heard about the possibility that Nightshades in the diet can cause problems?
Tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, and eggplant (as well as tobacco) all belong to the same botanical family, commonly known as the nightshades. The Latin name for this family of plants is Solanaceae, because all of them produce an alkaloid compound called solanine.Sep 13, 2011

Here are a couple of links, a Pro and a Con to present both sides.

    Good morning!!

Roger, you are right! 40-some and 50 degrees is cold, lol. :D It has just been so long since we had that, I can't remember. We had too mild a winter last year. That is not too far from freezing. We always had a snow flurry around Halloween in "the olden days" in Ohio when I was growing up!

The poor dogs are just starting to feel better from their one day left in boarding. I have to take them tomorrow afternoon for our trip. I am the cartoon heel.... :/

I am envisioning someone watching sports and changing channels in the middle of something important due to their hand gestures, if you follow my drift...ha ha!! Interesting on the blood donors. I can not give blood anymore. The time I was in Europe was during the mad cow disease problems in England. Because some of the commissaries bought meat from Europe and England in addition to the US, I can not donate in case I was infected, as there is no way to test for it being such a long term disease with long term gestation. Bummer..... :| The public domain books were interesting. While I have heard of it, I did not hear of that formatting...

Hope you are feeling 100% now. Especially with the change of weather!

Val, I just love that puppy!! I am so impressed you integrating your dogs all the time. It has taken 2 years for May May to learn to go around Chester and not bowl him over, lol! I hope the teacher meeting goes well. :s Too bad Em can not switch teachers. I agree with Roger about teachers like that...how unfortunate... and what a bummer dealing with her when you are sick. I hope you can get a little rest and start to feel better soon...

I don't think I am taking my computer or I-pad to Europe, so I will probably not check in for about a week. I will lose my days logging in, but as I have gained back some of the weight, maybe starting over would not be so bad. Possibly if I have time, I could get my daughter in law to log me in, but not sure it is worth the trouble... :#

Hope everyone takes care!! I am doing my oil change and maintenance (for the car, Roger, lol, :D ) this afternoon. More running!! ..Jan B)

Hi. I miss cold...I barely recall the feeling. Good news! Puppy Cooper is improving. Starting to add puppy kibble to my homemade turkey and rice. This is a different teacher than last year...high school is separate campus. But the principal from middle school is now here (which was good for proof that I don’t whine just because). I made notes to organize my thoughts but accidentally left them home. At 7:30 am, i was at school and requested meeting with principal, that teacher and the 504 (hearing impairment counselor). I did well...I didn’t say anything i reget. She actually admitted to some of the things i said she said...and the principal dropped his head and then whispered to her...you can’t say that to the children. It was a VERY long day w multiple email and calls with many employees. Here’s the miracle...it helped! I have not seen Em this relaxed and happy about school this year! The 504 ladies met with her and talked about how yo approach an online college course...find the syllabus, print it, mark dates on her planner, etc. she finally felt like someone heard her concerns. At work i did huge and amazing things including identifying a critical loophole in a website that would have violated multiple laws. The IT guy and corporate lawyers were appreciative and requested me to stay involved to identify the best fix. Another department requested my support 1/2 time, that will be a big change...a little scared, but we’ll see. I mowed my backyard! And feel like things are in order...which is a nice feeling.
