Roger, sorry you're under the weather, hope you feel better soon.
Irene, congrats on another pound gone! Yay!
Jo, yum....blueberries! I know you had fun doing that with your daughter.
Luckily it was just the crown that was loose, and the doc fixed it up this a.m.
    Have a good evening.
    Hi Vix
    I hope so too.

I'm guessing they glued teh crown in place?

Our dental plan has changed we are now with aenta which is fine my cleaning was 100 % covered which was nice. We just had some rain so pretty much plan on staying in side today.

    Hi Irene
Your weather sounds worse than mine, So far the only rain was in the overnight hours and The streets are dry. It is a dreary looking day however. Nothing wrong with wanting to stay dry.

Free cleaning, so to speak is a hard price to beat.

    Congratulations on the walk

    Good afternoon;
Vix-What are you making in clay class? I am glad that you were able to get your crown glued back on.
I actually swallowed a temporary crown once.
Roger-I am sure you are drinking plenty of fluids for your sore throat.(that is the mother in me coming out.) :)
Irene-Your doing so good with your walking and losing weight, congrats. :)
It is an overcast day here, no rain yet.
I have to go to work early tomorrow, we have inventory.

Actually, the dentist had to drill through the crown to get to the metal piece that screws onto the inplant, tightened that up and then filled up the crown.
    Rainy here today too.
I was working on a decorative serving dish today. I'm also trying my hand at a small sculpture, but it's not coming out so great. I left it for next time.
Have a good evening everyone. :)

More Humor today, enjoy. I stuck something on the end, comments on that video?

    Hi
I still did not do any walking today, I still have a sore throat. The temperature this morning was 70 on the news channel and 72 degrees on the front porch, FWIW. I can see we had some light rain overnight.

I went looking for some Blackberries this morning, I found one ripe one and several not ripe. It appears that production is done for the year.

FWIW I went to the medical place as I am still feeling poorly, Tired, Sore Throat and weak. I took the visit to the Medical place as a excuse to stop for Fruits on the way to Pharmacy. I picked up a bag of Mineola's. A couple of Pink Lady Apples, a Couple of Nectarines and some greenish Bananas. They also had some decent sized Salads that run 210 to 290 calories per servings AKA bowl. They were Bacon & Turkey Cobb Salad, Cranberry & Walnut Salad and a Caprese Salad so I thought I would try them. I have had all three types from other sources and liked them.
    Signature Farms Cranberry Walnut Salad
More of a side dish than a meal, this salad is fresh, but the toppings are chintzy. The raspberry vinaigrette is much too sweet and lacks acid. A 4.5 ounce salad has 210 calories, 9 g fat, 450 mg sodium, 7 g protein.

This one is the highest in calories and Sodium, I suspect due to the bacon.

    Hi Joanne
I have this problem called a stubborn streak, I would likely have gone to seek treatment earlier if my Brother had not been pushing me to go. Well at least I know have a 10 day course of Amoxicillin to see if that helps and back I go this weekend if not improved.
I'm back, the rapid strep throat test came back negative, The throat is inflamed and for now they are trying Amoxicillin. Wish me luck.
BTW I do not know if it is different here in NJ than Where You are?
Here they do not give You a written Prescription, It is sent to You Pharmacy electronically. That sort of Hinders shopping around. I do know not to use CVS as they are high. I paid $11 for the last and the current pills at the local pharmacy.

Today's high is forecast to be 90 and Tomorrow should be better. It is a nice day outside. Even though I left the house before 8AM to beat the rush I did not get out before 9AM and with the stop for Fruit I got to the pharmacy at 9:30 and still had to wait :(

Inventory sounds like a nuisance at best.
    Good Luck at work

    Hi Vix
That sounds as if it could have been a real nuisance to have done. If I am reading it correctly there is a metal piece that is part of the crown that loosened up where it attached to the crown?

Hi all. Roger, hope the antibiotics helps.
Sorry about the posting...I'm kind of upset about all the health/safety regulations that are being gotten rid of while we are distracted with all the other mess. Still trying to avoid the politics. I have to remove myself from some mailing lists...mostly health organizations (like EWG.org) that keep reminding me of environmental dangers. It's not like we can do anything about it.
    Have a good day.

    Good afternoon;?
Roger-Did the Dr. tell you to eat yogurt daily while on the antibiotics? The antibiotics can mess with the good bacteria in your gut and the yogurt is supposed to help counteract it. We have to use Osco Pharmacy for our prescriptions inorder to get the lowest price through our insurance. Our parent company also owns Osco. I think I paid $5 for my last antibiotics.
We have Signature Farms, as Shaws and Safeway are owned by the same company, Albertsons,LLC.
Vix-I usually don't comment on politics, but It seems to me that Trump is trying to undo everything that Obama
put into practice. I am also not a fan of Trump and will usually change the channel when he is on, in my opinion nothing good comes out of his mouth. With that said, I will not comment any more on politics.
Irene-enjoy your pool time. This was the first time I did a produce inventory and my boss wasn't very clear on what to do. I input a lot of stuff into the handheld computer that should have been eaches and I put them under cases.
Maybe he won't ask me to help next time. :p

No apologies needed, I forwarded the link in a email to several people FWIW.

I do not blame You for wanting to be removed from some mailing lists, I skip through more than 1/2 of the news since they keep beating on the same theme for days.

    Hi Joanne
I do not recall that, I suspect You also mean a live Yogurt culture ?

In the 90s I know that the frozen Yogurt mix that McDonalds uses had live culture in it. I am not sure anymore.
I had a feeling Your Job and Acme on others were owned by a large Conglomerate.

One quick comment on trump, he said he would if elected so no surprise there. You saw my opinion of much of the news broadcasts in my reply to Vix above, If there anything on TV that had real news I suspect the ratings would stomp all over the established ones.

I had to do inventory one year at work, what a Pain.

    Good Luck

Former Los Altos baseball player sues coach after being benched, claims bullying
By Hayley Munguia, The San Gabriel Valley Tribune
Posted: 08/14/17, 3:13 PM PDT Updated: 15 hrs ago

A former Los Altos High School student and baseball player is suing the school district and his former coach for hundreds of thousands of dollars because the coach repeatedly benched him.

According to the suit, the school’s head varsity baseball coach, Gabriel Lopez, repeatedly refused to let 17-year-old Robbie Lopez, no relation, play throughout his senior year. The suit claims this constituted a pattern of “harassment and bullying.”

The teenager and his parents are seeking $150,000 or more, according to the suit.

Hacienda La Puente Unified athletic director Andrew Formano and assistant superintendent of human resources Jill Rojas both said they could not comment on the matter. Gabriel Lopez did not respond to a request for comment.

Yogurt with active cultures is good when you're taking antibiotics to keep some of the good flora and protect against further infection. I have a lot of trouble with antibiotics.

    More humor and some links

    Hi
I did a little walking today, I still have a sore throat. The temperature this morning was 76 on the news channel and 75 degrees on the front porch.

It started raining about 10 minutes before I left to get some coffee. If I had not slept in late I could have been ahead of it :(
It kept alternating between a light rain and heavy rain with periods of Thunder.
I have ended up with the bottom of my shorts wet from the rain since I only wore the Rain Jacket. It was not that comfortable between the Humidity, Temperature and lack of air flow from the rain gear. I hope Your day goes well. The rain is forecast to go away later and then come back late afternoon with Thunderstorms again.

    Have a Great Friday

    Good afternoon;
Thank you all, I feel much better today. Yesterday I stuck to the BRATT diet (bananas, rice, apple sauce, toast and tea. I dropped 5 lbs. but I am sure it was all water weight and once I start eating normally again I will probably gain a few back.
Yes, Roger I will get sick pay. It wasn't really a nice day off. I spent most of it either in bed or lying on the couch.

Glad you are feeling better, Jo. Enjoy your days off!
I got another round of prednisone from the doctor. Will see how it goes. Planned another trip up to NY at the end of the month to check on MIL and SIL. This time we've got a hotel room, so at least we can sleep comfortably.

    Hi
I did some walking once again, The temperature this morning was 74 on the news channel and 74 degrees on the front porch.
We had some heavy rain yesterday in the late afternoon with Thunder.

I am feeling better, Yesterday a while after I posted that the Antibiotics have been bothering me I found out that I should not have tempted fate. I did Pick up something labeled Active Culture Probiotics at the supermarket and that seems to be helping.

I also got what I suspect was a good but at the ShopRite, Organic Apples both Braeburn and Pink Lady for 99 cents a pound with their Key Tag.

    Have a Great Weekend

    Hi Irene
We had rain off and on heavy with thunder in the morning and around 6PM in the late afternoon (early evening?) with a nice looking period in-between, however it was Humid.

A decent walk considering the weather we had in NJ on Friday.

    Carry On
