    Good afternoon;
Thank you all, I feel much better today. Yesterday I stuck to the BRATT diet (bananas, rice, apple sauce, toast and tea. I dropped 5 lbs. but I am sure it was all water weight and once I start eating normally again I will probably gain a few back.
Yes, Roger I will get sick pay. It wasn't really a nice day off. I spent most of it either in bed or lying on the couch.
I have the next 3 days off. :)
    Overcast here, but no rain.
    Enjoy your afternoon. :)

    Hi Joanne
If I said I have never heard of that diet ? :)

I am happy You are feeling better, I agree 5 pounds sounds like water weight.

On the good side You are feeling better heading into a three day weekend :)

    Good morning.
    Did some errands yesterday.
Glad you are feeling better, Jo. Enjoy your days off!
I got another round of prednisone from the doctor. Will see how it goes. Planned another trip up to NY at the end of the month to check on MIL and SIL. This time we've got a hotel room, so at least we can sleep comfortably.
    Irene and Roger...enjoy your walks.
    Have a great day.
    Hi Vix
I hope the Prednisone is helping...

You do some traveling when You visit :)

Just curious why would You need a Motel room to sleep in comfort?

    Have a Good Day

    Hi all....t-storms here now.
Prednisone not helping so much this time, but have a few more days.
My MIL doesn't have extra beds. Hubs sleeps on the couch, and I sleep on a pull out couch when we stay there....both are uncomfortable.
Sounds like a nice day, Irene.
    Hi Roger and Jo.
Have a good night, everyone. :)

    Hi
I did some walking once again + 1 cent, The temperature this morning was 68 on the news channel and 68 degrees on the front porch. Lower Humidity today too.

I did treat myself to two scrambled eggs, Whole Wheat Toast and a few of the Home Fries in the middle of my walk.

    Have a Great Sunday

    Hi Irene
I agree Saturday was a misery while walking due to the humidity and that was before the heat of the day too.

You seem to be really enjoying the pool

    Good morning;
I am feeling much better. My daughter and I went for a 3 mile walk in a conservation area. We will not be going there again. As we got into the woods a ways we could hear gun fire. I guess there is a rod and gun club near there.
Also it is open to hunters during the months of Oct-Dec. We just didn't feel comfortable walking there.
Irene-I am glad you are enjoying your pool.
Roger-Sorry the antibiotics are causing you distress. It hope the probiotics help.
Vix-Is your MIL continuing to improve? I would sleep better at a hotel also.
    Have a good day. :)

    Hi Joanne
If the gunfire was coming from a firing range that would not worry me. It is a part of their design that the Bullets are safely contained. I would be worried if what You heard was poachers OTOH. You should probably have called it in so if it was poachers they could be apprehended. I would also stay away during hunting season just to be safe.

It does sound like a nice walk otherwise.

If I said between the Antibiotics and the Probiotics I seem to be at one extreme or the other :)

    Have a Nice Sunday

Once again more humor and what a pair of the Heck images :)

    Hi
I did some walking once again, The temperature this morning was 68 on the news channel and 68 degrees on the front porch the same as yesterday.

Breakfast will be a NS Cinnamon Roll

We are forecast to be in the 75% Eclipse area. The news this morning had a warning not to use the eclipse glasses from one Jersey Shore amusement location and to bring them in for a refund. It would seem that the scammers do not give one hoot if they cause eye damage as long as they get the money.

    Have a Great Monday

good morning, Well I lost another pound it sure is coming off slowly but at least it is coming off. Vix I would stay at a hotel also not only for the rest but just some time alone. When ever we go up north to visit family we always stay at a hotel it is just so much easier. Jo it did sound like a nice walk. But don't blame you about the gun fire. We went for a long walk this morning I had in over 8k steps this morning, George took today as another vacation day so we could go longer. Tomorrow I will be going to Trenton for a couple of days going to start getting things ready to start painting also we plan on calling a handy man there is some things we can't do ,before you know it we will be putting the house in Trenton up for sale so looking forward to that day. Roger sounds like you are feeling better.

    Good morning.
Jo, we once walked quickly out of a conservation area too because of gun shots (haven't gone back). No place for us.
I think MIL is doing ok, we will be in on a conference call tomorrow with the facility.
    Hope you're feeling better, Roger.
Congrats on the weight coming off, Irene! Yay!
I have a pin-hole in a paper plate and a piece of posterboard. My son and gf may be coming over...he said he has a pair of eclipse glasses we can share. Fun.
    Happy eclipse day, everyone! :)

Nice little solar eclipse party with son and gf. We had about 80% eclipse here, and not too many clouds. The glasses were cool. I also made a cereal box projector which worked pretty well. The pinhole in the paper plate was ok, but the image was really tiny.

Going to be hot today. Off to clay group this a.m.
Jo, I checked out welding masks, but most of the available ones had a level 5 filter, and NASA recommended level 14...I saw that you could get them online. It was really cool, wasn't it!

    Good afternoon;
Vix-What color highlights did you get? I did highlights for years, now I just dye the whole head. :)
Irene and Roger-you are doing great getting your walks in. I hope you both get a better nights sleep tonight.
I took Sophie for her antibody titer blood test on Monday. It has gone down again by half to 32, so I think one more dose of medicine should do it. The vet wants the titer to be 0. Sophie has no more symptoms and seems to be fine otherwise.
    Enjoy your evening. :)

I did not get a better nights sleep, OTOH I did go further today since it was nice and cool while walking :)

As near as I can tell we likely had 1.5 inches rain here as that was the amount listed for Somerset and Middlesex County and that does cover me.
