    Good afternoon;
My daughter and I went to Rhode Island this morning and walked the Cliff Walk. The route is the ocean on one side and mansions on the other. It was a beautiful day, sunny with a nice breeze. We walked 6.4 miles.
Irene-congrats on your weight loss, you are doing great.
Roger-I don't have an ice maker either. The refrigerator we had with an ice maker was always breaking. So now I just have a few plastic ice cube trays. They are sufficient for our needs. I watched the video and still don't know what the 2 guys found underground?
    Hi Vix.

    Hi Joanne
It was my impression that what they found was the the Facility itself. It was a good sized left over from the war. It is amazing to me how many German facilities still exist so many years later. Does that make any sense to You.

    Congratulations

    Hi all.
Had a kind of stressful day. There are fires in California, one not far from where we'll be staying. And trying to help my SIL with my MIL from long distance...lots of phone time today, and I was looking up a lot of information on dementia. It's really sad and scary.
    Anyway, feeling kind of exhausted.
Thanks for all the jokes, Roger.
Irene, you're doing great with the weight loss....congrats!
Jo, it's so nice that you and your daughter spend time together and go for all those great hikes. :)
    Have a good night, everyone.

    Hi Vix
I was wondering how You were making out, out west ?)

I am sorry to hear that Your MIL's situation is bothering You. I suspect it easier on them than on their family.

    Good morning.
Off to play with clay this morning and forget about things for a while.
California's having a heat wave, so will have to pack for that.
That tunnel in the video was creepy. Yuck. I'm not especially fond of tunnels to begin with.
Anyway, looks like a pretty day out, sunny with a little breeze.
    Happy Tuesday, everyone. :)

    Good morning;
Vix-Dementia is sad and scary. We feel so helpless because there is nothing we can do to fix it. It is in our nature to fix things. I will keep you and your family and your MIL and SIL in my prayers.
When do you leave for Yosemite?
Roger-I am enjoying this beautiful day, as tomorrow we will be getting rain also.
I have all the windows open and there is a nice breeze.
I have been cleaning out closets this morning and am now taking a little break before I start the next project.
    Enjoy your day! :)

Jo it sounds like a really nice walk you went on. Roger I think we all are getting rain tomorrow oh not too much you can do, I will still walk just I will bring a rain coat with me. hope everyone has a nice evening.

I posted More humor as well as a Humorous link

    Hi
I did some walking + 1 cent. The temperature this morning was 69 on the news channel and 68 degrees on the front porch and back yard. The rain with stormy weather in the forecast for Yesterday afternoon was late and it had only drizzled by 10PM. It started raining heavily shortly after I started walking and since I was only wearing my Rain Jacket everything below the bottom of it was soaked by the time I got home.

I have been making a Ham & Swiss Sandwich that has Miracle Whip as the spread. So it ends up as 95 calories protein, 80 calories of 647 Bread and slices of really a tasty Home Grown Ripe Tomato :)

FWIW My brother filled up yesterday, The previous fill up time before the price was $2.29 and 9/10ths and Tuesday it was up to $ 2.79 and 9/10ths. A 50 cent rise at the same station in a couple of weeks. He generally fills up when the tank is down to a half tank. The F150 has the optional large tank :)

It was not raining at 6AM Wednesday and by the time I was geared up to go walking it had started. I managed to get soaked too. The Shoes are still drying out so I pulled out the the old pair I had replaced and used them since they may have been a bit worn, OTOH they were Dry :)

I went further than usual this morning, I'm at 9600+ steps already and it is only 9:30AM :)

That is a nice thing to do, Clear the basement and donate at the same time. Around here there are a couple of charities that You can call and they will pick up too. Lupus is one of them.

My daughter and I are going to SoWa Market today. Hubby is going metal detecting. Last week he hit the $1,000 dollar mark. He has been recording and saving all that he finds. He also has a large cache of costume jewelry and other trinkets.
Great job on the step count Roger and Irene. Yesterday I got 10,873 steps, a lot more than the three previous days. I hope to get more that that today. Once I am back at work I will get in a lot more steps.
