    Good morning.
Going to run some errands today, and try to get back into the old routine.
Walked in the park yesterday afternoon.
Jo, congrats on your finds. :)
Roger, it is nicer walking as the weather is cooling off. :)
Hi Irene, sounds like you're just about finished with the Trenton house, although I'm sure painting will take a while. Good for you. :)
Have a great day , everyone.

Did you get a chance to go to old Sacramento they have a place there is called fanny Annies ?It is an old fashion restaurant .Well we walked this morning I got my steps in12,554 so I feel pretty good. Went to visit family yesterday it was nice . The turnkipe has changed it speed zone it is now 70 instead of 55 which was nice it didn't take so long. I did get an antique stand that was my mom's it looks really nice in my dinning room.

    Good afternoon;
I am the receiver at work this week. I was so busy today, it made the day go by fast. I actually stayed an hour and a half overtime. With the remodel going on, there are a lot of items being discontinued. They all have to be scanned out and then marked down. It is very time consuming on top of all the other work. I was supposed to have a helper, but he called out sick. I hope he shows up tomorrow.
Roger-The glasses do go with the dishes. They are very hard to find. I suspect that most of them got broken. We are on the hunt for coffee mugs that go with the set. We haven't seen any yet. I think back in the 50's and early 60's most people still used cups and saucers.

    Hi Vix
I just wish the humidity would go away. When I leave somewhere where they have the AC running such as Yesterdays Grocery Store stop, I can feel and even sort of smell it in the air.

Good Luck, I'm sure You will be back at Your routine shortly

    Hi Irene
Wow that is a great step count for the day and the day is not done.

I remember back in the 80s and 90s when the top turnpike speed was 55 MPH. The last time I was on the NJ Turnpike I did not realize they had raised it and I was doing 55 MPH in the right hand lane and was wondering why everyone was flying past me :) The I saw a speed limit sign and said oh.

    Have a Nice Day

    Hi Joanne
It sticks in my mind that there are websites devoted to finding and acquiring things like the glasses and Coffee mugs.

If I was using the word receiver at work in the past that would mean the person in charge of receiving deliveries and checking them for shorts and damage, Is that what You were doing ?

Marked down could be good for you if they are items You would use. You would know what they are. Can they not change the price in the computer that the the Cash Register scanners use ?

We do have some nice sets of cups and saucers in the China cabinet.... And strangely enough two different complete sets of Stainless silverware in wooden cases.

    Have a Better day tomorrow

    More humor today

    Hi
I did some walking this Morning and still + 0 Cents, Oh well on the good side The Grass was dry and I have now mowed the lawn ahead of the forecast rain with a moderate breeze courtesy of Jose. The temperature this morning was 71 on the news channel and 71 degrees on the front porch and back yard thermometer, humidity is still forecast to hang around for another day or two :(

It is a cloudy day with no Sun showing. The clouds are related to Jose's approach and the forecast indicates rain and wind due to Jose's passing off of the NJ coast.

Interesting ? Link, I found it interesting :)

    Hi Vix
Interesting that Your weather is cooler than here despite being further south. Our Overcast is forecast to turn to rain :(

I did see Two Deer grazing along one of the brooks I crossed over, A Mother and a Young one. I noticed them when I looked over the side of the bridge. They must have really good vision, I was well above them and as soon as I looked over the side they both turned their heads and stared at me til I moved on.

    Humor has been posted

    Hi
I did some walking this Morning and + 5 Cents, The forecast rain failed to make it to my part of NJ, It did rain along the NJ Shore. There was a moderate breeze courtesy of Jose. The temperature this morning was 71 on the news channel and 70 degrees on the front porch and back yard thermometer, humidity is still forecast to hang around for another day or two :(

It is a partly cloudy day, The clouds related to Jose's approach have moved away from here.

Before I forget to mention this, I was looking out the Picture window in the Living Room before I went walking I saw a group of Deer Running down the street.

on a recent news broadcast the Young Lady made a slight or not so slight boo boo. She talked about a rare Suma Tran Tiger Cub. I looked at my brother and said what the heck. He Said she meant a Sumatran Tiger Cub :)
I see grammar, pronunciation or Spelling errors on the News broadcasts daily. I am thinking if this is the caliber of News Broadcasters in a Major Market like New York City what is it like in smaller markets ?

Interesting ? Link, I found it interesting :)

    Good morning.
I've been skipping most of the news. It's either disasters or wierd stuff. And, as you say, the reporting isn't what it used to be. I generally look at the headlines, and maybe a paragraph or 2. I don't want to go around being horrified/terrified/disappointed/saddened all the time. Staying in my little corner of the world and trying to make it/keep it a better place.
    Errands and acupuncture today.

Congratulations on finding the money, I found mine as I walked down the block from the house on my outbound leg...

I was wondering about Your weather from looking at the Weather reports on the news.

I do wonder why they are only mentioning the Earthquake(s) in Mexico and not at least mentioning the other ones that have been happening at the ring of fire. New Zealand, now coastal Japan, seepage from the N Korea test site.

The Good Samaritan was stabbed in the neck first...
I can more or less see that happening once the Adrenaline start flowing OTOH

I tend to be cautious with emails, However I am sure that it works for a percentage of people or it would just disappear.
I also look out the window in the front door first. Having a closed in porch helps protect deliveries I suspect too.

When The Meter reader comes to the door he comes onto the porch rings the doorbell and then steps back out of the porch and waits to be seen through the porches storm door.

    Cheers

For dinner I gave in and ordered Chinese Take Out with enough for today too. I saw a new to me item on the menu from the last time and ordered it, It was tasty too, I had a Cheese Steak Egg Roll. For Dinner I had some of the pint size Chicken Broccoli and no rice and today I'll finish that for lunch and for dinner I'll have the Pint size Chicken with String Beans and skip the rice. I'll let my brother pack the rice and vacuum seal it and he can use it down the road in Spanish Rice, Rice Pudding or Stuffed Peppers.

Jo apple picking sounds like fun what are you planning to do with the apples? Hey Vix tell your daughter I said happy birthday

    Hi Irene
My Brother is going to the ShopRite later today, I have asked him to pick up some small greenish bananas for me and to look at the hot foods section to see if they have anything I can use as a protein tomorrow :)

Are You planning to mow again this year or do You let it grow a little high for winter?

    Have a Nice Day

Thanks for the happy b-days...I think she had a very good day. :)
Jo, you and your daughter always do such fun things together!
We went for a walk in the park this morning, then went to the mall, then went to Lowes and bought a bunch of bulbs to plant, then went food shopping. We mostly run out of salad every few days.
It was warm here, but a pretty nice day.
    Enjoy your Saturday night. :)

    Hi Vix
That is good news, I sort of got away from Birthday celebrations at some point.

What kind of Bulbs did You buy, The usual suspects ? Tulips, Daffodils, Crocus and Hyacinth or...

I have gone off of salads lately, I was eating a half a head of lettuce a day for a while.

    Enjoy Your Day
    Roger

    Good Morning;
Roger-I hope you are feeling better today.
Irene-I am planning on eating some of the apples as is and maybe making apple crisp with the rest. We only picked a small bag and split it.
It was still pretty wet when we left home. The place where we picked apples was about an hour away. Everything was dry there and it didn't look as if they got any rain. My daughter and I had on long pants and Welles, everyone else there had on shorts and sneakers or flip flops.
Vix-It was warm here too, supposed to be in the 80's again today.
I don't have anything planned for today, just puttering around the house doing odd jobs.
    Have a good day. :)

good morning , Roger I am sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Is it a cold or flu ? hope you start to feel better soon. Well I called N/s to see why I was struck at the same pound I would loose it and then regain it back. He said I wasn't eating enough so now I make sure I have my afternoon snack also I am drinking my water lets see if that helps . I only have about 12 more pounds I want to loose. Vix what do you do with all your paintings? Jo enjoy your apples.
